While it's known as a burger joint, a few of us decided to change it up and ordered the Fried Catfish Basket (their take on fish and chips). The food was pretty decent! The catfish strips were rolled in cornmeal and fried well--nice and crispy without being overly greasy. The basket came with a side of fries and some jalapeno hushpuppies, which added a nice Texas kick to the meal. It's a massive portion, so you definitely won't leave hungry. So we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards and decided to grab something to eat after the cattle show. It was 4 of us and once my food got to the table I was hungry and didn't get a chance to take photos of my food but it was a good burger, I had the buffalo meat blend burger it was well made but didn't have a real buffalo taste, but maybe that's the blend. I was told that they changed the patty from the original so that may be the reason. But besides that the fried jalapeños were a great appetizer as well as the cheese bites. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers. Now the restaurant has both a place inside and outside to eat at, we choose to eat indoors and it was well decorated with Stockyard and Texas history memorabilia. If you're looking for a great burger, this is definitely a place to stop. The area is nice older very comforting, western seen. The Texas twister chips were really really good I ordered the free range burger and the egg was perfectly done and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Definitely great flavor. My girlfriend ordered the GAUCHO burger. Her exact words were yummy. Parking is definitely going to be an issue. There's different areas to park. At the tail end of Stockyards, TraillBoss was really nothing special...my party dined in on a quiet Saturday afternoon and the service was good. We all ordered something different to try. Starting with the fried jalapeños and pickles. Now, those alone are 5 star! Especially the jalapeños, the absolute best. They were fried to perfection, weren't overly battered or salted and just down right tasty! For entrees I had a BLT which was pretty standard, nothing special. Wish the toast was actually toasted on both sides and that's all I have to say. The chili cheese fries were good. They satisfied my craving, but wish they put more chili & cheese on top. My fiancé had their brisket sandwich and he didn't really enjoy it. He said the meat was bland and dry. My sister had their chili cheese dog, which she liked. Visited Fort Worth for the first time to watch the 4pm cattle walk and decided to get a beer and look if any of the restaurants in the area offered a plant-based option. To our surprise, this restaurant had an excellent veggie burger. My husband and I ordered one each with fries and a couple of beers. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food I got was the Philly Cheesesteak, Chili Cheesedog, Onion Strings, and Fried Pickles. The Fried Pickles and the Onion Strings were both pretty good, about expected and/or average. The Philly Cheesesteak was largely flavorless and the Chili Cheese Dog was beyond messy. Both of these are problems with the bread that was used. The bread was too rough so you had to squeeze out all the contents before you could take a bite, and just spilling everything anywhere. Also the bread was largely flavorless as well. The food was decent, the food alone would probably earn it 3 stars. However, I didn't get what I ordered. Rather than the fried French toast - which sounded like it would be amazing - I got 3 slices of normal French toast and two sausage patties. I didn't get any hash browns. And I didn't get the Stockyard French toast. There was only one other customer in the restaurant, so I'm not sure how they could have confused the order. Also, when I initially asked for French toast, they initially told me they were out. They had to go back to check if they had any. Deep fried pickles were salty to the point that all you tasted was the salt. The burger I got must've been the cheapest meat you can buy.
