It's worth the stop! I was impressed. It's a little rustic, but cozy and very friendly. Staff was friendly and accommodating, if you want to change something on your order, no problem. Scratch kitchen style. I'd give them a 5, but the gravy was country, not sausage. I know, it's petty, but if that's all I have to complain about, it's pretty good, haha. Sorry, no photos, I was hungry. The dog got some bacon, so here she is. Check them out!

Was passing through and saw a packed parking lot. On my way back was looking for lunch and decided to try it. I had the Texas Tornado(biscuits/gravy/eggs/bacon/awesomeness/etc). Don't judge. Yes I had breakfast at lunchtime. Friend had a sandwich and fries which were rated good. Staff was attentive and friendly. Sorry was hunger and started to eat before taking pic.

Best place to get a hot plate of home cooked food in Gainesville, TX! The original owner has unfortunately passed on however his son has stepped up and continued the legacy of this community staple. The servers are probably the kindest you will ever meet and the current owner personally goes around with his contagious spirit of charity and personally gives every child a piece of fresh fruit before they leave. This is one of the few places left where the value of a dollar still goes a long way--and for $10 I promise you will get an "all you can eat" portion size. They don't skimp here and you always feel good about what you got. Trails Inn is known as the best breakfast spot in Texoma but they have other great home cooked meals like chicken fried steak, etc too. Most of the negative reviews I've seen come from wanna-be trendy yelp connoisseurs expecting the Ritz Carleton in a rural Texas town. There's a reason it's always so busy you can't hardly find a parking spot when you come here--because everyone around here knows this is a great place to bring your family and feel better when you leave than when you arrived. There's no attempt here at trying to be fancy enough to be pretentious--it's a down home dive that does an admirable job of transforming simple ingredients into a wholesome menu experience.

I'm a big breakfast guy I've driven by here 100 times heading to the airport. Always full of pickups at 5:30, normally a good indicator. I had the opportunity to come mid morning for breakfast Eggs over easy, bacon, grits, and biscuits and gravy. Service was fast friendly and efficient. The eggs were cooked exactly right, the grits perfect. The bacon was not as crispy as I like it, but good. The biscuits were disappointing not fluffy almost like canned. The gravy which can save poor biscuits was probably a mix with not much flavor and no sausage in it. I ate my second biscuit with jelly. I will try again everyone can have an off day read more

Stopped in on our way back from the casino on a Friday morning. I got breakfast biscuits and gravy were phenomenal as was the waffle. Sausage was great too. Husband got chicken livers with fried squash mashed potatoes. It was all excellent and very speedy, and price was way reasonable. Service was great. Highly recommend!!! read more

For Gainesville, going to give this 5 star. Traveling up 35 going to Norman and stopped here after reading yelp reviews. First out your expectations in check! Been here since 1984 and I doubt anything has been changed. Restaurant is somewhat dark/dingy and can look dirty because of age but things are clean. Prices are crazy reasonable! Chicken fried steak, green beans, and mashed potatoes--covered in the most yummy cream gravy--for $10. Not going to find that anywhere else. Hubby and I both cleaned our plates. We enjoy exploring places with character AND good food and this had both. Trucks fill the parking lot and plenty of rancher type working men. We enjoyed the experience and the food. Service was very friendly and attentive. The place definitely could use repairs in areas but it all added to the 'character'. Would come back if passing through Gainesville. read more

Stopped by for lunch today. Crowded parking lot, which is always a good sign. Waitresses were friendly, attentive, and very efficient. We had a Gyros and an open beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Food hot, large portions, and delicious. Total cost for 2 people and drinks was approximately $23. Prices reasonable for portions and food quality. Menu had large variety to choose from. We will eat here again. read more

The staff is amazing. Whether you are sitting down or picking up food... everyone is always so kind. I pick up breakfast orders all the time and nearly every time they ask me if I would like something to drink. The place is always neat and tidy. Amazing breakfast options... and surprisingly enough, the Italian menu (which seems a bit out of place for a breakfast/comfort food joint) is delicious! My favorite/go-to breakfast restaurant in the Gainesville area. read more

A small family type restaurant controlled by computers. Guest are not allowed to order except as is printed on the menu. It is required that you order in larger quantities then you desire. For example if you want a piece of toast you must pay for 2 pieces. We have been customers for years but will probably hesitate going back. What a breath of fresh air this place was. Awesome customer service and great food as well. I had the meat lovers skillet with over easy eggs, with biscuits and gravy with 3 pancakes. I was really hungry and I was really full after all this, but was worth it. 8/10 About that breath of fresh air, well you will have to go to find out. The owner is awesome and you won't find another with his personality. Stop by and get some great food and freedom. Gotta love this place. Food was really good. Service was good as well. Alittle loud, so if your looking for a quiet atmosphere, probably not a good pick. However people around were just happy people sharing laughter and smiles, so if that's what you need, I highly recommend. If your looking for a homestyle food tasting meal, this is your spot. My wife and I, stumbled upon this little breakfast gem. We've been multiple times, and the food is always filling, tasty, and fresh. I haven't had a solitary complaint about my food, service, or otherwise. If you like good country home cooked meals, I'd suggest giving this place a try. We have not had an issue. I'd suggest it to anyone who wants a good breakfast at a reasonable price. UPDATE: 7/21/18 Since my review, they've added Italian to their already amazing menu. This is real, rustic, authentic Italian. It's wonderful. The chicken parmigiana is the best. Their Alfredo is to die for. So buttery, so creamy. It's amazing! read more

Cracker Barrel supports the RV lifestyle and allows RVers to quietly use their parking lots for overnight parking with the polite but unspoken request that if you're having a meal in the area that you have it with them. We'd already had dinner back in Denton but we've hit up plenty of CB meals along the trip so I figure we're okay. The store is clean, the parking lot is tidy and yes, I did pick up two of their candy lemon sticks for the road. I tried to resist but couldn't. We finally placed our food order, and once again there was a long wait -- this time for my biscuits and gravy. This is our second visit, and unfortunately both times the service has been very poor. The food itself was hot and tasted good, but the servers definitely need more training to get the basics right and improve the overall experience.

Instead, our young waitress was "in your face" short with us, our service was mediocre and the establishment seemed ill prepared for a crowd. The savory cheese board was ok. However, I had have outstanding cheese/charcuterie boards at nearby wineries for less cost and far better quality. We were there in the afternoon and the very limited parking area was already full. The inside winery area is cramped and small. The outside area is spacious...but, lacks the outdoor fans that we see at many other Texas winery patios. We never leave a winery without a bottle to go...here, we were happy to pay our bill and move onto the next nearby winery without our typical delicious bottle to go.

Also food was cold. I called the manager. She came purposely after I stepped out from the table. I told our drinks came after 40 mins. Then food came one hour later and food was cold. My waitress was constantly going to her favorite table and she does not acknowledge us. I ordered prime rib. It was overcooked and dry. We also ordered chicken fried steaks, chicken tenders and pasta. Everything was cold. ( it was sitting by the kitchen for so long.) The cafe Manager sucks. She didn't do anything to correct this problem. No wonder this restaurant had not many people there eating. I wanted to go to other restaurant but other winstar restaurants were packed due to the Santana concert. I would rather go to the fast food restaurant. I will never go back here. The worst place.

Oak Meadow Ranch focuses on conservation and ethical animal care, and what really stood out to me is how they treat their animals with such respect. They do not believe in practices like deveining or declawing, everything is done in a way that prioritizes the animals' well-being, and you can feel that the second you step onto the property. We had the opportunity to experience their exotic animal encounters, and it was absolutely surreal getting up close and personal with these incredible animals in such a safe and respectful environment. You can tell they are genuinely cared for and loved. One of my favorite parts was getting to meet the owner and his daughter. The knowledge they shared, their passion for what they do, and the way they took their time with us, it was beyond impressive. You don't get that kind of personal experience just anywhere. Their customer service was truly top-tier. And let's not forget the dining, The Whitehorse Steakhouse was just as amazing. Such a perfect way to end the night. Hands down a 10/10 experience. The Winstar Spa was amazing and by far the best thing about this casino resort. The staff was professional and the amenities were the best. We don't care much for smoking casinos, but we made the most of it. We frequent Choctaw (Durant) more often since the Sky Tower is a non smoking casino. I did not like the size of the pool for the guests and think that guests should be able to use the other pool for free or at least a lower rate.
