Six Stars here. We update our review every year and now it's 2017. We go to upwards of 30 establishments and Trapperz is our number one (1) in rotation... three years in a row. We live about 14 miles away and Dundee is closer at almost 6 miles but Trapperz is totally worth the drive. We love the vibe, the demographics, food, drink, the value, the friendliness and we have never yet received an order we did not like. The menu is vast ....from Chicken Chunks to Crab Legs, , from Bodacious Bar Burgers to Tantalizing Turtle Soup. The prime rib is incredible, the shrimp cocktails are succulent and sweet. Pork, BBQ ribs lobster mac and cheese, monster country fried steak. Salads and wraps galore. The dessert menu changes regularly but we tried most of them and they are delicious. "Caramel Bacon Sundae" anyone? We love the service and we are treated like family , not to mention the prices are reasonable... a good value. If you want to try their burgers don't forget to ask for the special supplemental Burger menu ...as well . It has specialty Burgers not contained on the regular menu like the Triple Bypass Burger. Yum. Friday night is the Fish Fry; all you can eat Cod and Perch. I myself don't do fried fish but the place is always crowded so it's very popular. I get the grilled fish and I love it. My wife particularly loves the grilled Salmon. What we really like ...is Saturday Night Prime Rib. Check out the island inspired drinks... mon. The bathrooms are clean, the people are cool, and we don't have to drive into Monroe to visit this establishment. Just a few minutes south of town in LaSalle. We stopped in here one day on the way back home, it's a nice little place just outside of Monroe . I had the shrimp cocktail and I have shrimp cocktail all over the place and here it was one of the juiciest ones I've ever had, the shrimp are large and fresh. The atmosphere is a cheers type atmosphere very warm and inviting. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and drinks and we commented about why don't we have a place like this near us. I like this place very much. Every food I've had has been very good. The Vodka selection is good and so is beer. I drive up Dixie Hwy when i want to get out of Toledo for a while. If I lived closer, I come more often. They have the cute waitstaff and the polite patrons. Prime Rib on Saturday evening is juicy and flavorful. Wow. This place was really good. Took the kids after a babseball tournament nearby. Cheese curds are amazing. Bangbang shrimp was awesome. Crab cakes were great. My favorite is the fried perch.
