Came here on a Friday night & it was packed! Would recommend having reservations. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere & is nicely decorated. Our server was very friendly & helped us with suggestions. The food came out promptly & everything was perfect. The pasta was fresh & paired nicely with the sauce. I will be coming back to restaurant!

Anther great New Years Eve spent at Trattoria Sofia. The outside climate controlled patio was decorated beautifully. For dinner we brought the baby and they accommodated us all well. There were actually a decent number of kids early on in the night! Our server was Britney and she was great. Starters - East Coast Oyster was delicious. Bread basket was good with the butter. For mains I had the Wagyu Filtet with the potato puree. It was good but nothing super special. The tiramisu for dessert was awesome. Cocktails were good overall - I had their Gold Fashioned and Espresso Martini which was great. Overall a nice meal but a little pricey!

We came here for a business dinner and had a great time! To begin with, they have $6 valet which is a great price for the convenience. As soon as we walked in, I was blown away by the decor. There is so much greenery and it just feels very unique. I had the Tuscan Kale Salad which I enjoyed even though I'm not the biggest fan of kale so that says a lot. For my entrée I had the Roasted Verlasso Salmon and it was delicious! For dessert I went with the Amaretto Cherry Gelato and it was soooo good! Our servers were attentive and friendly. We also got to meet the GM and she was awesome! Needless to say, I will be back!

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day and I was not disappointed. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful and the food was chefs kiss! Our waiter was friendly and attentive as well. Parking is valet only. The first dish I got was the Whipped Ricotta with hot honey and toasted bread on the side. This was a 5/5!! The waiter brought us more bread when we ran out which was great. If you have any ricotta left over save it and put it on your pasta dish. Trust me. The second dish I got was the Lamb Ragu (4/5). The pasta was perfectly Al dente and the meat (while being quite sparse.. I got 5 pieces through the whole dish) was juicy and flavorful. The lamb honestly reminded me of carne guisada with how tender, flakey, and flavorful it was. The meat did not taste gamey at all. I've had some lamb that I didn't like in the past and this one was great. The tomato sauce was ok. I think I could have used either more sauce or a more flavorful sauce cause it just blended into the background. Overall I'm so glad I came here and I'd recommend you check it out! I shall try the pizza next time.

Our first time to visit this Berg Hospitality concept and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is a cute attempt at creating a small ristorante. The front part is modern and elegant, the back feels like you're sitting inside a covered porch (you pretty much are). Service was great and food was wonderful. The wine menu was moderately priced. Not an authentic Italian presentation like others in town, but absolutely worth trying for your everyday Italian fix.

I came on a rainy evening and was greeted by valet ($6.25- card or $6- cash)who approaches with an umbrella to walk you to the door. This restaurant is a hidden gem where when you walk in you are encapsulated into a romantic and small cozy vibe. We were escorted to the table in the main dining room but when noticing the outdoor /indoor area to eat we chose to eat there for a little more privacy and time to chat about life. Ordering from the happy hour menu prosecco (x3) which are super crisp, margarita pizza , lamb meat balls (x3) , and a few other bites I can't remember the name of. The lamb meatballs are what I would drive another hour in traffic for. They are seasoned well with an amazing warm marinara sauce served in a mini cast iron skillet. Overall this place is worth visiting. 10/10.

My friend & I came here for the HRW menu. First of all, the parking is valet, so if you don't want to do that, good luck trying to find street parking. Once we were inside, we were taken to our table and given menus immediately. It's dimly lit inside and the restroom was pretty clean. We had two different waiters, most probably because the first waiter's shift ended and it was an hour away from closing time, I believe, but both were very nice! My friend & I ordered a drink each which were good. Then we each ordered different items from the HRW menu -- Caesar salad & whipped ricotta for the appetizers, heritage chicken Parmesan & Cacio e Pepe with grilled chicken, and vanilla new pannacotta & tiramisu. The Caesar salad was nothing spectacular in my opinion, but everything else, especially the cacio and the two dessert were so delicious! I'll definitely be back to try more items.

We got amazing service with food to match, & they were pretty reasonably priced at that. It also didn't hurt that the ambiance was great.

Came here for a friend's surprise birthday party dinner. It was amazing. I never looked at the menu so I couldn't speak to pricing or choices but everything that was brought to the table for us to share family style was fire. Service was impressive, my glass of wine was never empty and we were a big group. The restaurant itself is beautiful and open air feeling. There's an olive tree in the middle of the room to add that ambiance. From start to end it was the perfect meal. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it for a group or special event. See photos for items we had. The seafood was so yum! Chicken parm too! Pastas too! Bread too! Dessert too! All the things.

Trattoria Sofia is most certainly a place we will be returning to. The atmosphere is amazing. We sat out on the covered patio at nighttime and the ambiance was perfect for a nice date out. The food was also on par with the atmosphere. The prosciutto pizza and cacio e pepe pasta were very flavorful. We had a great time, appreciated the service, and will be coming back. Note- they have a paid valet here.

Such a cute hidden gem in Houston! I was looking for an Italian restaurant with a home-cooked, authentic feel, and Trattoria Sofia hit the mark for me. We started with the Ricotta Di Pecora, which was an absolute must for me. For entrees, I ordered the Pollo alla Parmigiana. The flavor was great and portion sizes very generous. Service was also great. Definitely will be returning!

This place is a delicious, vibey restaurant, fun for a birthday or a romantic date night. We have always loved the whipped ricotta appetizer and it is a requirement for us every time we go! The fresh bread basket is always a must as well. They have a Calabrian like chili butter with it which is a unique but yummy addition. One time we went we got a special, which was some sort of fish pasta. It was okay but the appetizers stole the show. The next time we went to stayed classic with the Sicilian pesto bucatini which was delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken Marsala, which was a big portion and you could even get a pasta side with it! We enjoyed their cocktails and they have a good wine selection. We recently spent our friend's birthday there and the waiter made sure to make her dinner special.

We came in on a busy night and sat at the bar. We ordered a few appetizers and a round of drinks. I don't remember the bar tenders name, but they were amazing and Jesse (GM) made sure to check in on everyone and was just so pleasant! Can't wait to come back next time we are visiting Houston!

Do they do reservations for birthdays ? What's the party size minimum and/or max of people?

They did reservations for my birthday. I'm not sure about the party size limit. But if you sit outside (which is air conditioned) there's room to put larger parties.

    Do they validate parking?

No. They have their own valet which was about 8 dollars.

Do they take cash or only cards?

    Both

Do they have gluten free options?

No. Nothing on their menu has any dietary restrictions. Not a friendly menu either to those with allergies.

Some of y'all are silly gooses Anyway, my friend and I came by on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy! The inside of the restaurant is decorated with so many Italian knick knacks which gives this place a cozy vibe. Instead of ordering an appetizer and an entree, my friend and I decided to order 3 things from the appetizer menu: Arancini Montanare Impepata Napoletana The arancini was delicious! The exterior/crust wasn't too thick and was fried nicely. As for the filling, it had cheese, beef, and tomato sauce- yum! I really enjoyed the montanare because it came with 3 different toppings. Not to mention, the bread was fantastic! All 3 were great but my favorite was the one with smoked provolone, anchovy, and the red chili on top (I believe that's what the red topping is). The Impepata Napoletana was another solid dish- loved the white wine sauce with garlic and pepper. Although it was a tad bit too salty for me, it paired nicely with the bread. For dessert, my friend got the pistachio gelato and I ordered the Tiramisu. Both were a great way to end dinner. Food was wonderful, our waiter was very friendly/welcoming, and the vibes were lovely. Drove an hour and a half for nothing, it seems. Disappointing... What we did get was tasty, but it wasn't what I wanted and therefore did not redeem the trip. The cost was not worth it, in my opinion.
