Do NOT eat here. I was charged $10 for a chicken cesar salad. Disgusting, lettuce was wilted and old, I tried to call and talk with the manager she was rude told me the salad comes that way! Told her I would be putting this on Yelp, then she said I could bring it back for a refund after again stating the chicken is what made the salad wilted. Never again!!! It was our first time ever there and sad to say the first thing, with Covid still it was dirty :( Under the table was disgusting. The foods were awful. The chili was greasy and gross, the coney dog hard on the ends and the chicken strips burnt. The only thing that was good was the fries. The service was not up to par either. I just love this place. I've gone here on and off since I lived in St. Clair Shores. The great thing about this place is that they've changed NOTHING. It looks exactly the same. They use the same menus. When I come here, I feel like I'm walking into the past. So many memories eating at this place. The best part? The place is CHEAP. The food may not be of the best quality (not sure why I say that. Just a vibe I get... the grease compensating for it, or something?), and the restaurant itself may not be the cleanest place you'll eat at, but either way, it's good eating, and REALLY hits the spot when you're drunk. read more

We wanted to go to Gina's Cafe, but saw they had a line so we bolted. We stopped in here, and they too had a line (12:30 on a Sunday) so we cozied up to the counter, just in time, because boy did the line get LONGER!! We had great service, and pretty great food too. They had that line whittled away in no time. All the workers were hustling, all graciously.. Amongst the crowd they were getting a bunch of carry-out orders done too. The staff is just as attentive as you'd expect in a diner and the food was great! Four stars because the cinnamon roll was kind of gross. This is the kind of family restaurant to add to your "old standby" list. It's the kind of place you'd like to be a regular on Sunday afternoons. Travis is often touted for its burgers, but the menu is a bit more diverse than that. A lake perch or walleye dinner is never a bad idea here, and there are some really solid sandwich offerings. It's a Midwestern-style family restaurant that does everything decent and does a few things very, very well. This location can be summed up as Clean,Friendly and Fast. Sadly it seems to be the norm that cleanliness is not a given in restaurants. This location, although very busy is extremely clean. There are more than enough waitstaff. They help each other out so if your person is tied up two come over to help. These people never stop moving. They are all very welcoming. It seems this is the equivalent of the bar CHEERS. They know all their customers and smile and make small talk as they wiz around the room. That's nice! VERY friendly with a family feel. Fast because even with every table full the kitchen keeps up. You are not waiting for what seems a lifetime. As food goes there are no surprises, standard diner fare served hot and fast. I've had breakfast here a few times before going in to work; it's a decent place with standard breakfast options... not the best but not the worse... However, I like it for breakfast cause it's tasty and it's cheap. Went here for the first time tonight and it'll be our last. Ordered a bacon Swiss burger no pickle and my husband orders hot roast beef dinner. Burger came out with wrong cheese and pickles all over the plate waited a few minutes for the waitress to come over and never did. Meanwhile husbands meal was ok if you like instant mashed potatoes. Finally someone comes over and sees the burger is not touched asked what was wrong told them and they remade it. By the time I got it back husband was done eating. Took mine to go. read more

The wait staff is great. But the cooks and owners need to learn customer service. Ordered a perch dinner. It was so soggy wet it was disgusting. Our waitress apologized many times and informed the owners (sitting in the next table). They could care less. Didnt eat it and got charged full price. So congrats. Never disappointed! I expect the same delicious onion smothered burger that I have eaten for decades. They deliver it and it is always the same consistency and taste. Nothing fancy for the building. Ok. This is an old stand by that's been around forever on the east side. They do breakfast and other sandwiches and dinner specials. All that is pretty good. Soups are a daily thing and pretty ok too. The salafds are meh and they have the canned green bean thing going on...so maybe more of a lunch and breakfast place. read more

Recently moved to the area, and I've had Travis before but not this location. On the first visit I grabbed a sack of sliders and fries and they were great. Ate lunch there a few other times and enjoyed it. Only grabbed breakfast once and it was very greasy, which surprised me because I've heard it's pretty good.
