Patrick in service is the most welcoming & competent bike mechanic I met in LA - and I've been to 3 other large bike stores.

On September 9, 2026, I experienced a popped rear tire on my e-bike near the Beverly Grove area. I called the Beverly Hills store ahead of time to confirm they had a 20x4 inner tube in stock, explicitly mentioning that I was riding a heavy e-bike. The staff confirmed they had the part, so I walked my heavy, disabled e-bike a mile to the shop in 98-degree heat, arriving on the verge of heat exhaustion. Upon arrival, the technician barely looked at me or the bike. He nonchalantly stated he had other customers and asked me to leave the bike overnight, which I agreed to do. Three hours later, I received a phone call from the technician stating he had "bad news." He claimed that due to my bike's suspension setup, he lacked the "specialized tools" required to remove the rear wheel without damaging it. As an experienced rider, I knew this was completely false. The rear wheel drops off cleanly using standard hand tools without ever touching the suspension. When I returned to the shop to retrieve my bike, my suspicions were confirmed by the unprofessional attitude of the staff: * The employee at the door mocked my situation, condescendingly telling me, "Well, have fun with that," when I pointed out the fix was simple. * The cashier completely shrugged me off, stating he "didn't know" why the tech refused the work, showing absolute indifference to the fact that they were turning away business. Because of their refusal to perform a basic tire change, I was forced to drag my heavy e-bike another 2 miles to the train station in 90-degree weather. When I finally got the bike home, I successfully removed the rear wheel and replaced the tube myself in less than 30 minutes using a standard wrench and an Allen key. The technician lied about needing specialized equipment. The staff's dismissive, mocking, and unhelpful behavior leaves me to believe that I was either turned away out of sheer laziness or straight-up discrimination. No customer should be humiliated, lied to, and left stranded in a dangerous heatwave by representatives of the Trek brand. read more

Hello, this is a fall '24 update for Trek Store BH. The wonderful service team Thank you Leo for the recent 10-speed to 11-speed conversion. I, like most folx I know right now have to budget. Nearly all the components for the conversion were sourced on Ebay. mix of new/used.I found the lowest price on a KMC chain, which are reliable,if not using Shimano. I have reviewed Trek before but every time I go in there, I just can't believe how wonderful all the employees are. They're so kind and knowledgeable and helpful. I really wanted a bike and I told Josh what I was looking for. He not only found me a bike but a bike that was on sale for $200 less than the original price. He ordered it for me, put it together and got just what I wanted. I will come in with a bike problem and the guys in repair fix my problem and they never charge. All the guys in repair are wonderful, I wish I knew all their names. Scott is wonderful. I recommend this place highly they know their stuff. If I could give it 10 stars I would have. read more

Trek is the best. It's gone by different names, but it's always remained a terrific bike shop. They're all pros there and everyone is friendly and helpful. Great service and customer service. There are other bike shops closer by but saw a few negative reviews and decided to come here instead. So I stopped by to get a quote on replacing tires for my bike. Price was right so decided to return that same day and get it done. When I got back I fully expected to drop off and return the next day but they treated it as a 'flat repair' and got it done within 30 minutes. I was very impressed and would recommend to anyone who needs a bike tune up / repair etc. While I was waiting I saw how they interacted with other customers and could not have been better. They only sell Trek bikes (I've had mine for almost 20 years and still going strong) and have a huge selection - including e-bikes- but repair all bikes. read more

Disclosure: I have only bought parts, tools and accessories here. My Treks were bought while out of LA. I was recently out on a ride picking up some parts and asked the guy about an annoying click in the pedals. I had tried everything in the YT videos which mostly proclaim, "it's not the bottom bracket." In my case it was! The tech--I wish I knew his name--was very helpful and tightened it up for me to send me on my way. I offered to pay of course, but he said it only took five minutes. I hope I don't get the guy into trouble here. But managers, just know that when your people treat customers exceptionally well, you will gain exceptional customers. I literally cannot say enough good things about this bike shop. I love this bike shop. They have everything I need, but more important than the fact that they have everything needed for bikes, they have the best people on earth! Winston is an absolute GEM. he is so helpful! He lifts my spirits every time I come to get something done on my bike. I also have to mention Scott, Leo, and the whole team. These guys are just phenomenal. They help people all day, but when you come though those doors, you will truly think you're the only customer in the world. They always take the time to make you feel so special, they greet you with a big smile, and they remember your name. I really do mean they made my day! They're super enthusiastic about what they do. They love the world of biking, and they're so happy to share knowledge and help you learn! they have an incredible inventory of bikes, manual and electric! And like I said earlier, they have all of the supplies you need for gear and maintenance as well. They've even turned me onto really great energy snacks while biking lol. I use those snacks for all my workouts now. These guys are just awesome! I buy all my supplies from them, because this is what a business model should be. But as though all that is not enough reason to support this wonderful bike shop, they also price match, so I can get the things I need the same day without waiting on Amazon. Incredible service! My friend and I popped in to have our bikes looked at on the way back from our soggy, wet ride in a torrential rain storm. I've been coming here for decades now, from when they were iMartin. Here's how good they are: I look forward to bringing my bike in for repair. The mechanics are the best I've ever had anywhere in the world, super friendly, kind. Some have been with the company 40+ years. I had concerns when they became Trek and joined a chain, but it's the best thing they did for their brand and their customers. Fresh-baked cookies and soda while you wait. I first dropped by Trek BH to pick up some SPD cleats for my shoes. Glad I did because their staff and shop are throwback to a bygone era of ultra customer service. They took care of the cleats and answered my new guy questions. I next dropped by Trek because I though my SPD clips on my spin bike pedals were installed backwards at the factory. I brought my pedals in and they helped me understand why I might think they were backwards, but they were, in fact, fine. I just hadn't clipped in for many years and was being too cautious about them. I then bought a new seat, not from Trek, that corrects for groin nerve & blood flow pinching common from other seats. Problem was, installing the bracket on the rail presented me with hours of frustration at home. I called Trek BH and they said they'd take care of me for free and get me back in the saddle. Not only did they install my new seat, I got some key knowledge about bike form and fitting that would aid my biomechanics, training for goals and improved health metrics, etc. Fascinating stuff. This is a killer bike shop with fantastic people who actually ride a lot themselves. Looking forward to my next visit. read more
