Growing up in Mexico, Tres Leches Cake made an appearance in my home very often, regardless of whether or not there was a reason to celebrate. The cake texture is similar to an angel food cake. A rich and soupy sponge cake, it does not fully absorb the milk syrup, which makes it taste extra heavenly. It also tastes like home. Needless to say, it is my absolutely favorite cake, so naturally, I had to stop by to try theirs. Tres leches literally means, "three milks" and it is a light sponge cake soaked in a sweet milk mixture of evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk. Their Tres Leches Cake did not disappoint. I tried their chocolate version and it is super delicious! It is ultra light, soaked in their sweet milk mixture and topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate syrup. This is an excellent cake for those who like moist cake. Besides yummy Tres leches cakes, they have other great cake options, both individual and bigger sizes. They also have Choco-flan (two amazing flavors combined), regular vanilla/chocolate cake, gelatin de leche, Mexican milk Jello and more!

    Fresas moldy!

Yum!!! These blow that other cookie place out of the water. That said, this, for me, is a special…read moreoccasion cookie joint. They are intense! Delicious, but intense. We ordered 4, cut them into 4th, so we all could try them, and a small bite of each of the quarters was all I could do in one sitting. I'm not mad about having more for later though. We got the hostess cupcake cookie, the cinnamon toast crunch snickerdoodle, the biscoff s'mores croissant, and the caramel Blondie cookie. So good! It was just under $20 for all 4. Not cheap at all, but, again, for a special occasion, it's fun to try.

When we stopped in today, there was the obligatory chocolate chip, a Carmelita (which IS delicious), a peanut butter cup and then some weird offerings like eclair (looked like a donut) and a super thick brookie. We got a four-pack with two choco chips, the Carmelita and the peanut butter cup. The first cookie we tried was the choco chip. I like a good chewy cookie but we both thought it was so thick it didn't get completely done. Good flavor. The Carmelita was good--so good we wish we had four of them in our pack. I got coconut, caramel bits (plus the drizzle) and chocolate chips. Maybe a little oatmeal too. Really good. If it's in the rotation, get it. The peanut butter cup was good but like the chocolate chip ones, was a bit underdone for my taste. Everything had great flavor though!

Inside, the shop has a lot of cute seating areas, both indoors and outdoors. They also offer a fun variety of flavors. I ordered a small cup of the honeycomb lavender ice cream, which came with a free waffle chip. They also have cones, flavored cones, and other options if you want something a little more elaborate. The ice cream itself was very creamy and delicious. I would have loved to have some actual chunks of honeycomb mixed in, but the honeycomb flavor still came through nicely, and there was a swirl in the ice cream that added to it. Overall, it was a really delicious scoop and felt well worth it. I visited on a Thursday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., and it was already fairly busy with families, moms, and young kids. I imagine it gets even busier in the evenings, especially during the summer after dinner. Overall, it is a neighborhood-friendly spot with great ice cream and a fun neighborhood feel.

The ice cream was delicious and of course I got sprinkles. The mini flight is a great way to get a few different flavors if you can't decide and it's not an overwhelming amount. I highly recommend if you're visiting the Tulsa area! The staff were very helpful for our first time.
