And my tacos were cold when brought to my table. The service was extremely slow, and when I asked for hot sauce I never got any. Had to ask a different sever and the weren't even busy. This will definitely be our new go to spot for mexican food. My boyfriend and came for lunch. I had the veggie quesadillas which were delicious and presented beautifully. My boyfriend had the lunch burrito mexicano and said it was excellent. We also shared the table side quacamole which was amazing. We're excited to come back for drinks and dinner. Tres machos 2 can suck it. We placed a grubhub order at 5:30pm thinking it would be 30min wait at best, an hour wait at worst. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER, my husband finally came home with food and margs. I tried calling them to order TWENTY times trying to avoid going through a delivery service, but their phone was not working. My husband went to pick up our food, and they were prioritizing walk-in customers over grubhub/door dash customers. They were extremely unprepared for the volume of orders today and they had 20-30 people waiting inside their restaurant to pick up orders instead of their advertised "no contact" pick up. No apology and no compensation offered. Not worth it. read more

On a whim riding through Richmond one we stumbled across this little gem. It's off the beaten path the outside is a somewhat colorful and inviting. We decided to stop in for lunch. We really wanted to like this place based on reviews but sad to say it's some of the worst Mexican food we have ever had. The fish tacos were disappointing from the minute they came to the table with a small bland scoop of rice. The tortillas were huge and you had to double check if there was any fish inside. It was overstuffed with iceberg lettuce and poor quality cheese. Ordered a combo meal of beef taco, beef tostada, and chicken quesadilla; all were greasy and the meat was salty. No sides on combo platter. Side of guacamole had no flavor and overall we didn't finish our food or the kids meal ordered, waste of $40. We left disappointed and hungry. They trusted the gringos! Most Mexican restaurant owners assume we're all rednecks, so they serve the shredded orange cheese (never) and tacos with (ugh!) ground beef. And while Tres Machos does accommodate them, they ALSO have real Mexican food! Cultured gringos rejoice! They have SOPES! And spicy homemade Menudo. Haven't seen that here! And real roasted carnitas the way they taste in Mexico and SoCal - not the bland and super-salty variety we usually get. I hope this place gets more business. I have not been here, but this is in the Westwood business area of the near west end of Richmond. It is not in Scott's Addition, which is a distinct area of the city. Tres Nachos may even be in Henrico Co, in an area where you go in and out of the city limits within a few blocks. Those odd areas of the city and Henrico Co are due to annexation of areas of the county through the years by Richmond City. read more
