I'm just gonna say I don't know what happen to this location, but it fell off, the bathrooms were dirty the place was dirty, it just has seen better days. The bartender was great, we sat at the bar, the food was great and so was the shrimp. But I had 3 cocktails, dbls, that was like $63 and I had a $50 gift card that I presented at the beginning. And my bill was still over $100. It was really expensive and wasn't clean. Then we had some punk kids come in and sit right next to us, and because the bartender did not give them menus or maybe they didn't ask for them they tried to take mine, and then they were just annoying. Six of us went for happy hour tonight and we were all happy with our attentive server, quick turnaround on food and drinks. Can you beat a happy hour that runs Monday - Friday from 2-6? First time trying this place, and I have to say the food was pretty good overall. I started with the nachos supreme as an appetizer, which were tasty. For my entrée, I had the salmon tacos, and those were definitely my favorite. The chipotle sauce on the tacos really took them to the next level. The staff was nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. My only critique is that the food came out warm rather than hot. I came here with a friend for dinner midweek and it gets very busy which also means it gets quite loud, unavoidable but not great for conversations over dinner. The food however, is quite good! We ordered way too much (this is what happens when you're both very hungry but can't eat a ton in one sitting...) but as a result did get to try a number of things. We got the tuna ceviche as a starter (I'd say it's average) and the trio sampler of salsa, quac and queso qith chips (not bad! Though we wished the chips were a tiny bit more salty). I opted for the quesedilla sampler as my main dish and they were quite tasty. My friend opted for tacos which she also enjoyed. I got the pork chicharron tacos and while I ate them, they were not appeasing to me primarily because the chicharron kept falling out of the taco lol. and the taste was ok, but I would order something else next time. If you want great Mexican food this is worth the trip. It's got an awesome Dia de Los Muertos vibe. The margarita flight was amazing (I highly recommend the spicy mango or coco loco) and the food was exceptional. It's a bit on the pricier side but $10 taco Tuesday can help with that and I felt a little rushed by the wait staff (went to meet my sister and catch up so we wanted to take our time). For appetizers, we order chicken and steak nachos. They were really delicious. My guest ordered the Pastor Tacos, and I ordered Chipotle Tacos. Both dishes were terrific. 2 Things I noticed. The food was cold, and none of our dishes were hot, which explains why it came out so fast. I'm under the impression our food was made before we got there. The nachos and all tacos were cold. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way, our server seemed like he was rushing us. He tried to take our food while we were still eating and had us hurry to cash out. I've never felt that uncomfortable. The food was excellent, though, but it lacked some personal things. Although I believe this place deserves a second chance, I am unsure if I will return. Let me begin by saying the food here is excellent--great taste and good quality. However, I'm writing this review to share my extreme disappointment with their customer service. If you don't enjoy your order, prepare for a rude surprise: they will still make you pay half, no matter what. Recently, my mom ordered a red sangria. Beforehand, she asked the server if it was sweet, and he assured her that it wasn't too sweet at all. When the drink arrived, it turned out to be overwhelmingly sweet for her taste. She politely told the server and asked to exchange it for a red wine instead. The server later returned and explained that his manager said he could bring her the new drink, but she would still need to pay half for the sangria. We asked to speak with the manager directly, and to our disappointment, she repeated the same stance--that my mom would have to pay for a drink she only tasted and sent back. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a manager. In all my dining experiences, I have never been told I must pay for something I didn't enjoy and returned after a single sip. Because of this, I will not be coming back. The service alone is enough to drive customers away. Managers should set the standard, not lower it. read more

Had a lovely weekend visit to Blue Habanero for the first time. The atmosphere was great with colorful art and a clean and open floor plan. The music was a tad too loud like most restaurants in the area. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable with solid recommendations for my drink and food choices. I had the spicy tamarindo mezcalrita and we both got taco plates. I ordered the short rib tacos on the recommendation and they were delicious. Very cheesy and filling. We also ordered the shrimp tacos that were delicious too. Our "spicy veggies" on the side turned out to be calabacitas which would be nice if they would have just called it that. My partner is not a fan of squash usually but they were good and definitely very spicy! My only complaint is that I wish it were easier to try different tacos or just order them a la carte. read more

Needed a pallet cleanser after all the thanksgiving and this honestly hit the spot. Let's get straight to it: The menu is overall pretty pricy and appetizers aren't that big to share aside from the nachos. The street corn was small it's considered an appetizer but it's just one small corn on the cob which we requested to cut in half but it was very flavorful and would order again. The entrees was 16 for 3 tacos and a small side. Seems kinda expensive but when I got them they were jam packed with meat which I really appreciate. The ramen was way too salty to my liking but the wife kinda enjoyed it, but she said she wouldn't get it again. Again was a huge portion. I had to dress my own tacos because all the condiments, pico, hot sauce, all came on the side which I guess helps out the picky eaters haha. I believe we will be back read more
