This has to be the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Everything is made from scratch from the breads and pastas to the sauces. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the shrimp and grits. They had a secret ingredient in it that made those grits the best I have ever eaten. My husband got the pesto risotto and he loved his as well. They even had what they called a Georgia Peach mixed drink and I saw a frozen bag of Great Value (Walmart) peaches in the freezer behind the bar. The food was wonderful and will be trying to go again every time I visit. We have enjoyed this restaurant from the beginning. From when you would order to go from their first place then it expanded and quickly outgrew their first location. We used to buy some of their items from the Saturday market. Love their new place and since we live downtown can't wait for the new location. The food that I can eat here is good. I am allergic to mushrooms and shellfish. Most of the time I go to this restaurant, it leaves me with maybe two options to choose from. Please offer a few more dishes without Mushrooms of Shellfish! Maybe you aren't aware how often you put those ingredients in everything. Please don't ask me to ask for your staff to leave the mushrooms or shellfish off. Every time I have asked in the past, I still get the mushrooms and I don't like paying the high prices for shellfish and doing without it. Both types of ingredients send me to the hospital. When I went with others in the past, after everyone else has finished their dinners, I would finally get my dish made the second and sometimes the third time. Eating alone with a crowd of friends is not fun. And has happened multiple times. Your cooking staff does not pay attention to special requests. If I hadn't noticed the mushrooms, it would have been a life-threatening event for me. I don't want to lose my life because your kitchen can't get an order correct! read more

We had a wonderful meal tonight. My wife's birthday is next week and as we were sans children I decided to take her out for a nice dinner, we were not disappointed. Her lobster claw gnocchi was delicious and the portion was generous. It was topped with sautéed asparagus that was perfectly cooked. My blackened grouper over parm risotto was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The risotto was very nice and a perfect complement to the fish. I came here with my wife and daughter on a cold Thursday evening in search of non-chain good food, and since I follow both their Instagram and Facebook pages and their food looks amazing, I figured we'd give this place a shot. The seating follows a different pattern than expected, resulting in fewer tables overall. We were seated immediately, though, and our drink orders were placed. Wife and daughter ordered sweet tea, I had their porter which was on tap. Water was a nice touch - very few places offer water with your meal anymore. We ordered the goat cheese and marinara appetizer with crostini, as wife recognized it from a defunct restaurant and loves it. The version here was better than the other place, which shall not be named. Wife ordered the meat pizza, daughter got the shrimp scampi, and I ordered the veal Marsala. Wife loved her pizza, which looked delicious. Daughter loved her shrimp scampi, which she said was just spicy enough (and was HUGE, incidentally). The veal was fantastic, served over a bed of linguini. Overall we had an excellent experience and will definitely be back. Michael was an excellent server. The only drawback was the mewling quim looking for a comped meal sitting at the table beside ours, but we aren't holding that against the restaurant. Excellent job, folks. read more

12 of us gathered to celebrate a family graduation. We were seated within 30 minutes of arrival and found the bar available in the interim. The atmosphere is inviting and has a laid-back, easy feel to it - much like the kitchen and dining room at home - while still appealing to those anticipating an excellent dining experience. Our server was attentive and accommodating. On sitting we were presented with small loaves of bread and plates of oil and herbs. The oil could have been more flavorful but that is about as close to a complaint that I can get. Two of our party ordered rack of lamb, only to be told a few minutes later they were out. Two more of us ordered filet mignon dishes, again to learn they were out of filets as well. We changed our orders and enjoyed each other's company as we determined that a limited supply of certain items ensures that our dishes are as fresh as possible. Our expectations were then exceeded at every level. Every dish we ordered was brought to the table hot, fresh, and delicious. Our crew started with charcuterie as we enjoyed our drinks and great conversation. The appetizer was just a small taste of the amazing-ness that was to come! Entrees were Chicken Caesar Salad, Cajun Pasta, Mussels in Wine Sauce, Chicken Piccata, Veal Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana, Pizza, and Linguine in Butter Sauce (that was one of the children). Of course we exchanged tastes, and every single dish was prepared to perfection. Portions are large, and many of us brought food home to enjoy later. Then there was the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake... oh, my! You no longer have to go to Atlanta to get REALLY good Italian food. Fresh pasta, flavorful sauces, and fabulous service are right here in Columbus at Trevioli! This place was actually decent when it was just in the small building and didn't serve to many at once, in my opinion there doing way to much now and are always overwhelmed along with bad management as I see how the staff are trained and act. I've eaten here for the past 3 years and the menu is inconsistent and has dropped off in traditional Italian offerings over time. If you are lucky enough to find something you like on the menu don't get attached as it probably won't stay long. The food presentation is good, but quality is hit or miss. Tonight we ordered the goat cheese marinara dip as an appetizer that was ok....I had forgotten what goat cheese tasted like. There's quite a punch! My husband ordered the fusilli pasta (the noodles were too hard for my liking) but the chicken & artichoke were delicious. I ordered the filet mignon with the butternut puréed squash and Brussel sprouts with bacon - it was all very tasty! I would def order again. I was especially impressed that my steak was good exactly how I ordered it. But we received a sample of the beef short rib served over little potatoes.... from the chef himself and OMG!!! This was nothing short of amazing! The flavor was spot on and the meat just fell off the bone! The potatoes were pleasantly simple but still held their own flavor when paired with the short rib. This dish was the gold for me! We also ordered the cheesecake with red velvet cake which was big enough to share and also delicious.
