All of our dishes came out in a timely manner and were beautifully done. Bruschetta was incredible and balsamic reduction was so yummy! Sauces were perfect, not overwhelming each dish. We have went there many times but tonight the menu has changes for the season and I don't feel it was for the better. A few of the items we got tonight have acorn squash added to the meal and they did not taste good at all. The quail on a bed of purée squash did not have much taste and you lost the flavor of the sausage in the quail. Acorn squash brachetta was very nasty the warn squash along with the cheese and the balsamic did not all blend good at all. Thank you for the other part of dinner that was good. read more

Went last weekend with a party of nine, thinking we would have to wait a while for a table. Surprisingly, place was almost empty during peak time. Found out why. Owner had changed the menu to add more fancy dishes and removed most of the regular items that were always good. One of our friends was only going to order a salad because he didn't see anything he liked. We won't be back until we hear there are more of the normal Italian dishes they started with. read more

These guys had something special when they were in the storage building years ago. This restaurant has since seen a negative landslide. The food is poorly prepared, the staff is messy and inattentive, the restaurant is pretty dirty, and just an all around disappointment. My husband and I just visited to give them the benefit of the doubt. My meal was $31 and his $25. My short rib was so over cooked it stuck to my teeth and disintegrated in my mouth. The polenta had no flavor. My husbands pasta was almost glued together and his chicken was poorly breaded and just all around disappointed. The plates were cracked and no soup spoons and the bowl was so large and deep that it was hard to eat. The bread was also disappointing and the oil dish had about a cup of oil in it (seems wasteful to me). I'm sad to leave this review but maybe it will give the feedback necessary to pull things back together. The menu has significantly become more elementary compared to the elegant and unique dishes once offered. Maybe the rapids will be better but I'm scared to give it a try. read more

My husband and I went to Trevioli for post Mother's Day celebration. He had the seared large sea scallops on spinach risotto and I had shrimp in blush sauce with excellent home made gnocchi. Scallops were fresh and perfectly prepared as was risotto. Shrimp were large, plentiful and fresh. For dessert, we shared canolli which was wonderful. Service staff was extremely attentive. I came this past Friday night and didn't have to wait long for a table and the staff were really nice. I ordered the spinach and scallop risotto and it was delicious! One thing I didn't like was the fact that we had to sit so close to another table. In fact, when the lady at the table next to me spilled her wine it went in my shoe, that's how close we were! We ate here last night. Due to the slightly higher prices than most places in Columbus, Trevioli is reserved for once in a blue moon or special occasions. I loved my Lobster Mac. The sauce is amazing and the reduced balsamic vinegar really complements it. My husband enjoyed his Spicy Linguine too. We loved the retro music and the overall vibe of the restaurant. If you missed the Sunday fundraiser for Mark Jones you missed a real treat. The blackened grouper on risotto was ultimate perfection with the beautifully engineered risotto and the perfectly blackened grouper with just the right amount of spiciness. If you added the Caesar salad topped with fresh shaved parmesan cheese you had the best Caesar salad in town. And then there was the Caprese salad to make the taste buds dance. The wife had the spaghetti bolognaise and said it was extremely good. The menu included Scallops over a bed of spinach risotto, Lasagna, blackened grouper over risotto, and linguini alfredo. My son and I were going to order the scallop dish but the restaurant had already sole out - hence the awesome blackened grouper. Customers were waiting in another building for their name to be called and standing in the parking lot with the heat and humidity and, even with the long wait, not one complaint was heard, not even from my wife who was starving. Add to that the fact that complete strangers starting sitting and eating together and you simply had the best food and fellowship possible. People will not forget the awesomeness of Trevioli's owners, the employees who worked their day off without grumbling, and the beautifully prepared, delicious dishes that were served, all in an unbelievably loving and cooperative atmosphere. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the absolute best, today was a plus 30 day. We are looking forward to returning very soon. read more

Damn good and excellent service!! Ask for Erin, she is the coolest server I've had in a while! Very attentive, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely would request her next time! We had such a good dining experience!! Emily did a wonderful job from start to finish! I loved every bite of my three cheese ziti with chicken and both of my kids had the Lobster Mac. I just visited the new location under the Rapids apartments--we were very excited to have a nice dinner so close to us! It was very underwhelming. I was given a water glass with a lipstick stain on it..........that wasn't mine.......during these times with COVID that's not a great look and pretty disgusting that they aren't cleaning their glassware properly. No manager came to apologize for that. Then I tried to order a gimlet off the menu, and 10 minutes later they told me they didn't have the alcohol to make it.....so I ordered a martini....which then took another 15 mins to get to the table. We asked a few questions about the menu (beforehand we were told they offer "elevated service" which meant they would do all our courses in one order)---we then asked about the menu, such as: "do the scallops have pasta included?" The waitress wasn't sure.....she tried explaining to me what the starters were and how to pronounce "gnocchi" (she was incorrect) as if I didn't understand the menu instead of explaining to me the tastes of the options which is what I asked about. We asked about the pizzas and were told that they were completely out of pizza.....all of the pizza. That's a quarter of the menu. What exactly is available on this menu? It was like menu roulette guessing what they had in stock. Then we finally got to the entrees, and they are small for an Italian restaurant, and not hot. We ordered another starter we were still so hungry after the entrees. Very mediocre for the price. The waitress finally came back to take our plates and the miserable mediocrity away, and drops my used knife onto my white dress on my lap----"elevated" service. Management didn't offer us anything for this pretty epic fail, between the subpar service & basically nothing on the menu being available. To add insult to injury, we walked out after the meal. and the hostess stood there, didn't thank us (first time I've ever seen that after dining somewhere), and we walked outside and a random woman (door woman??) says "thank you for joining us!" from a concrete bench smoking a cigarette........."elevated." We spent a hundred dollars for that experience........we will not be returning. Spend your money at better places downtown. read more

BEST RESTAURANT IN COLUMBUS! My husband and I love to sit at the bar and eat and we get to talk with all the sweet bartenders. We know all them on first name basis and they know ours as well. We had never had the opportunity to meet Trevor (owner), but when my husband got sick and Trevor heard....he called me immediately to check on him and see if we needed anything. He offered my family food which at the time we did not need anything, but he insisted on doing something so he donated meals to the Medical Staff taking care of of my husband. Words cannot describe what that meant to me. Here is a guy (business owner) who is super busy, yet makes the time to check on his regular customers who he had never met, but would see us on a regular basis. Again, words cannot describe what that meant to me and my family. Of course the food is AMAZING and everything on the menu is delicious. The girls know exactly what drinks we like and they always go above and beyond to make sure we are happy. The atmosphere is just perfect for date night and/or parties too! We had an extended family dinner here on a Tuesday night this month. They were out of grouper so two in our party ordered the mahi mahi, including me. We were most underwhelmed! The dish was pretty tasteless and the risotto was crunchy!?! The spinach portion was almost invisible. Those who ordered pasta were more pleased. However, my husband's tortellini portion was minuscule compared to my brother's Cajun pasta dish. They should make portions more equatable and work on the fish and risotto. read more

Great mea, I took my wife there this evening and was impressed with both the food and the service. We had appetizers, main course and desert. Everything was DELICIOUS. I had the crostini and marinara she had the Caprese and both were very good. She had Risoto for dinner and I had the Grouper, they were both so good that neither one of us is sure we got the best dish and we shared the chocolate mousse. I would once give Trevioli a five star rating but since the relocation it has sadly gone down hill. Food and service was so much better in the storage building and you felt at home. Now it is very commercialized and my husband and I do not enjoy it like we used to. I'm hoping that the classics will be brought back to the menu as the are sorely missed. Trevioli Italian Kitchen is my favorite restaurant in Columbus. The food is amazing and the service is as friendly as it gets. Tayler and Michael take care of their customers like we are good friends. Mandy is who my husband calls and asks for and she never fails to go out of her way to make our experience perfect. Trevor is such a kind and compassionate man who makes sure his customers feel very special. My family and I have been to Trevioli several times . Each time we try a new dish and they are always exotic and delicious. Tonight my wife was not thrilled with her main course. Aeryn our waitress offered a complimentary entree to ensure we had a delicious dinner. The service here alone is worthy of five stars. I'll be coming back for sure. I really like this place and the food is very good, although not excellent in my opinion. The restaurant is small but the location is excellent and the inside is nice and unique. Do not sit near the door as it is very dark inside and every time the door opens (the only door is west facing) the sun blinds you and quickly becomes very annoying. My biggest complaint about this place is the staff. Although usually very nice, seems to be all teens and early 20s and the quality of the service doesn't always match the price of the meal. For example- we ordered an appetizer and two bowls of lobster bisque (okay but not the best) and specifically requested the appetizer come out first and the soups along with the entrees. About 3 minuets later he brings it out everything and says "well it was all ready at the same time". I said well I didn't want it all at the same time. He said well is there anything else I can get for you? I said no, I guess we'll leave the entree here to get cold while we eat the appetizer. He then offered to go put it under the heat lamp. Someone else came by less than 10 minuets later asking if we were ready for the entree. I wasn't really but said ok. We felt a little rushed to say the least. On a previous occasion, we sat down and ordered a bottle of wine. We told the waitress that we wanted to enjoy the wine for a little while before ordering. No exaggeration, she was over about every 2 minuets asked if we were ready to order. We finally said yes after about the 15th time, even though we weren't really ready to. I just think they need to try a little harder to make sure customers enjoy the dining experience and not just take their food order the minute they sit down and rush them out. read more

I will admit I came to the restaurant with very high expectations. My expectations were high after learning all of the pastas and bread were made fresh daily. Our greeting by the host Sue was a great start. My first impression of the room was meh, not bad but a little too open for my taste. I was excited when a small loaf of bread with a nice egg wash was delivered to our table. My first warning sign was how under whelming the bread was...no crust at all, fresh but nothing to write home about. I was craving some type of fresh pasta in a fresh red sauce. I selected a rigatoni pasta stuffed with Italian sausage and goat cheese in a fresh marinara. I was underwhelmed again. The flavor was good but like many American restaurants, the dish was covered in sauce to the point I could not taste the fresh pasta. We enjoyed our evening and will give the restaurant another chance. I hope the food exceeds my expectations in what could be our next and last visit.‍ read more

I was in the Walmart Neighborhood market early one morning and saw a person wearing a Trevioli chef's outfit in there buying up a lot of dry pasta and Barilla brand pasta sauces. I didn't think much of until we both checked out at the same time. He drove his car directly to the restaurant next door and started to unload. Don't get me wrong Barilla makes good pasta sauce but if I'm going to spend 30+ dollars on a pasta dinner it better be made from scratch and not just heated up. read more

i have never experienced a restaurant like this. we typically don't try Italian because i can't eat cream based sauces even marinara makes me sick. last year my husband brought home a dish from Trevolis that just loved but didn't know the name. we went to the restaurant last night and despite my attempts to get the server to understand the dish what i got was not it. the restaurant manager came to the table i described what i had last year she explained that it was on their summer menu but she could tell i was not exactly thrilled with what i got and understood why i couldn't really eat the other items on menu. so she went back and had the chef make the dish i had originally wanted. it was perfect and this is now our favorite place to go. we will be eating lots of Tevolis from now on. this place is fabulous read more

We had a party of eight and went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. I understand there are lots of difficulties with larger parities but it seems every part of the experience was terrible. While ordering there were three different dishes on the menu that we were told they were out of after we tried to order them, so we had to keep picking different things until we found something they had. When our appetizer came out we had to ask for silverware, which we were told they were out of at the moment and waiting for more of it to get rolled, so we got to sit looking at our food waiting for them to bring us silverware. Waiting over 45 minutes we finally asked about our food, and it was only at that point we were told they ran out of sauce for the pasta, so they were waiting on more to cook. Waiting on that we tried to order a round of proseco but the bar had run out. Once we got out food the manager let us know that she would offer us free desserts for our trouble, but they were so busy they were out of most of their desserts and only had a few creme brulee left that we could split among ourselves. When they came out they were under cooked and runny, which wouldn't have been a problem except half of us had to eat with forks because the restaurant had run out of clean spoons. We ended up noting be able to eat them. When the check came out table of 8 had to share pens because they had run out of those as well. It would be funny if it wasn't such a miserable experience. read more
