If you're tired of playing pocket pool at home, head out to Trick Shots for some real life billiards. They have some promotional thing with free pool if you're buying drinks and such. It's very spacious inside and it didn't seem too cramped even when it was semi-filled. The tables are in decent shape, the sticks are a bit crooked, but it's good cheap indoor fun. Like most places I go, they charge by the hour and you can have as many people as you want (within reason). You should bring your own shoes too as I didn't see a shoe rental. read more

This is a great "take the edge off"'place if you're wanting a small getaway from reality! My boyfriend and I have been recently coming here for the past few months. We usually go around 10pm when it's not too crowded. We always get lucky with tables, like there's always one or two that opens up when we come in. Drinks are exceptional (not too special) and the prices are definitely affordable. They offer hospitality discounts on certain days which is a plus. The pool tables and poles are very well taken care of, and you'll definitely run into a lot of professionals practicing their game. The place is pretty clean too for a pool bar. A lot of tournaments go on here too! The vibe is great, and everyone is respectful to each other and their equipment. It recently went non-smoking indoors so I'm super thankful for that. You're allowed to smoke outside on the patio though. Shoutout to our favorite bar tender, Ray. We're always taken good care of when he's working. Hello everyone, I usually do not believe in writing a poor reviews for businesses, but so many different things happened tonight that I wanted to. From the moment I walked in the was rudely yelled at to have my id checked by a worker walking across the room. Correction, I was pretty much yelled at in an extremely degrading manner to do so. After a few games of pool we decided to leave and when paying the check we were told that every sign saying "pool is 5 dollars for students on Saturday" was out dated and incorrect. Lastly, I waited at the bar for 15 minutes to solely be acknowledged at an empty bar. Would've been a great time if the service decided to be a tad better. read more

I hadn't played pool in...10 or 20 years. I saw they have a weekday special of free pool until 4pm if you spend $5. Well that's easy! So I checked it out. The place is way bigger than I expected. Maybe 15+ tables. They were all in good condition. The pool cues were also in good condition. The waitress/cook/hostess was the only employee there but then again, there were on 6 customers! She was great. Polite, nice, and prompt. I ordered a burger and fries and it's on par with a standard frozen patty you might throw on the grill at home. Fries were good. Nothing gourmet but it hit the spot. Add that with a couple of lagers was $18. And I shot 5 racks myself over 2 hours. I will definitely be stopping back when I have a weekday off! read more

I really wanted to like this place because we went in to celebrate two of our best friends birthdays. We coordinated with them and secured a section with some couches and high top tables, plus 2 pool tables. I know some of the group paid up an extra fee to get the area "vip" so we had a someone private area. Well, some of the folks went up early to set up and let them know that as originally planned there were going to be 20-30 people. I don't know about you but that is a decent sized group. In reality, we all spent so much money that we and at the bar would have benefited greatly from a dedicated server. Although we did inform them that we have a large group coming and we deliver the group what was in the estimate that we gave them but, it was a skeleton crew one bartender, One server and one server/bartender/cook. That was it I looked around and said oh my goodness they don't even have a security guard here! Overall it was a 2.5 to 2.6*experience. The food well since I never got it after waiting an hour and a half I have to say that it was no good. Our drinks were strong, but I like TC over strong for my first few. The prices if you were drinking domestic swill draft we're actually A bit on the high end. I am fairly certain that no one in our party left with the tab less than $100; how on earth you can spend $100 when you don't have a server and they don't deliver food I'm not exactly sure I did have to carefully checked my bill and there were some discrepancies. Well you can imagine that yes they have a whole bunch of pool tables, yes we have a whole bunch of darts and actually a pretty good amount of seating all over the place and the bar could easily accommodate 2 to 4 bartenders... It's rather large. Here's my tip for my musical tastes which to each their own, however country music combined with Lynyrd Skynyrd and death metal wasn't my cup of tea that night. Well the magical jukebox there has an iPhone app and for merely $20 I was able to take control of the entire jukebox the time that we were there. From the whole day that was the best 20 bucks I spent. Well, Actually the best money I spent all night was walking over to the Korean barbecue place next-door where they serve me food and I did that with an hour and a half. This place is pretty big for a billiards hall, and it is packed with tables wall to wall. The interior is a bit nicer than most of your other common pool halls, but thats not to say this place is overly fancy. They have a pool league as well as a dart league (plenty of dart boards adorn the walls as well), and, of course, a full service bar to quench your thirst. I play here in two APA pool leagues (which means I practically live here, as APA members can play for free after paying a $10 greens fee) and have nothing bad to say about the service here. It's a non-smoking pool hall, which means I can (and have) play for 6 hours and not have to worry about my eyes tearing up or all my clothes smelling like cigarette or cigar smoke. The food here is good. I wouldn't normally trust any food at a pool hall but the wings here are pretty solid and their wraps and sandwiches are pretty good. They have a pretty good selection of food although I do wish they had some more healthier options as well as pizza. But that's just me being boujie. It's a pool hall y'all! Service here is great. At times they may be a bit understaffed but everyone tries their best to make sure you're good on drinks and food. Most of them know me by name and I've never had an issue with the staff here. A lot of them have been here a long time, which says a lot about how they treat their employees as well. A lot of their staff also plays in the APA league, which I think is dope! Lastly, the music here is controlled by an app you can download to your phone. I've had instances where my song never came on and all I had to do was contact the jukebox company and they credited me back my money. I noticed someone left a bad review for the business because of the jukebox, but know this is out of their control! If it's busy, you should either expect to pay extra to get your song on next (also realize a bunch of other people are probably doing this) or just don't put music in. I don't think they make any money off of the jukebox. Oh and super lastly, you can play for free earlier in the day as long as you have a tab. Trick Shots is just minutes away from my house, so needless to say I am there A LOT. It's kind of embarrassing really. You can usually find me playing darts, and on a rare occasion playing pool (very rare). It's also fun to just sit at the bar. The bartenders here are all very nice. We have certainly reached the "regular" status where they know us and stop to chat, and that's cool. And a little depressing. The only gripe I have with Trick Shots are the prices. I try to order whatever is on special, but I have managed to spend way too much money here way too many times. The drinks aren't cheap and they add up quick. If you stick to beer you're probably fine, but I'm not crazy about their draft beers. Pool league is on Thursday nights, I believe. That tends to be the busiest week night, otherwise weeknights are pretty slow. So yeah, go to Trick Shots! read more

I've been coming here off and on since the building was first constructed, and it has always been a solid (and nearby) option for pool and darts. I never got around to writing a review for it though. So why am I reviewing it now? Well from the looks of it, at some point since my last visit they stopped allowing smoking in the building. As much as I have always appreciated this place, it's large number of well-maintained pool tables, Golden Tee, and plenty of soft-tip dart machines, once I got home I felt like I needed to just burn any clothing I was wearing when I went there. It was pretty bad. Now, it looks like only e-cigs are allowed inside, and when we last visited, even with a full house only two or three people were actually using them. The smokers were standing outside. I'm not one to turn away from a place just because of smokiness, but I have to say it was nice to leave smelling the same way I came in, for whatever that's worth. The drink specials are pretty good here as well -- if you can stomach flavored vodkas, there is often a heavy discount on those, as well as on domestic beers. Even the regular prices aren't bad. The service is solid too -- they'll come around to all of the pool tables and dart boards to make sure you have what you need. read more

This is a great place to play some pool. It's enormous inside and has a lot of tables - so there's usually not much of a wait if you want to play. It's a great place to take a large group of your friends. It's close to Waterford Lakes, but it's located in a shopping center on Rouse Road that's full of doctor's offices and other small businesses - so it's usually pretty dead back there after 5pm. It's your typical pool hall setting. Aside from the tables there's darts, video games, food and a full liquor bar. They hold pool and dart tournaments also - if that's your thing. Came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon because they had free pool. Well I called before coming in to see if they had free pool on Sunday's and I was told yes. I said thanks and I'll see you soon. Get to the bar I was told by the same girl from the phone that it was free pool at 4pm-. I said umm ok u didn't say that on the phone but I'll take it anyways. Ordered a pitcher of Bud Light and it was gross. Flat beer from a keg, their lines need to be checked and co2 levels. I didn't say anything and just sucked it up. Shot for an hour returned the balls to close out and the lady stated she took the pool off because of the confusion. I really didn't expect that at all. It was a nice surprise. If this place could improve it would be more 9 foot tables (almost everyone is 8 foot). read more

I have been to pool halls around the world and this is simply the best. Clean and spacious, it is a comfortable place to hang out with a group or by yourself. It's never too crowded. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they have some of the best Guinness in tap in town. Prices for beer are about what they are anywhere else. Pool tables can be rented for $8 an hour, prorated by the minute. There are drink specials every day. Pool tables are free from 11am to 4 pm every day with a $5 purchase. Smoking is allowed inside but because the place is so large you don't feel like you are in a haze of second hand smoke. Non-smokers would be comfortable here unless you are highly sensitive to second hand smoke. This place is become my first choice for hanging out with the guys. read more

It's a good spot as far as pool halls go, but I've only ever 'sort of' enjoyed any trip to this Trick Shots I have taken over the last 15 years. There's usually 1 or 2 things that just kinda makes you sigh and roll your eyes. The pool tables are pretty near immaculate - and even the dart boards and plastic tipped darts are in great condition. The service is really good and personable - they'll come around to your table, remember your name, and try their best to make it hassle-free for you. You'll probably wait awhile to pay your check though - so ask in advance if you reeeeally need to get out of there. Unless I wanted to play darts or shoot pool though, I would never come here. It just seems to be a place that values their own principles over caring what the customers are interested in - that means, as far as beer selection goes, they seem so far behind the times, as if they intend to hold on as tightly as they can to some vision of their business that they had 20 years ago. That's cool, do you I guess. They also have TouchTunes - which I always enjoy when out with a big group of friends. But, unfortunately I don't think Trick Shots knows how to set the unit properly to play randomly until the next customer pays to play. Instead they queue up a never-ending list of songs (like 20 hours worth!) and then make paying customers spend extra and burn more credits for the "Play Now" feature - which is they only chance you have at hearing anything you'd pay to play. Weird, and not very fun. Lots of 8-ball/9-ball tournaments, and occasionally darts, advertised - but you'd definitely have to call or actually go to the location for info, as their website doesn't seem to be kept up-to-date too well. The food is typical bowing alley fare: it'll do the job - but the goal is to feed you, not to impress you. Seasoning is probably not their strong suit. If they wanted to they could do so much better on the food - but honestly, I don't think they want to. Much like the beer selection. Oh well. But, they do keep the place clean and looking good - the pool tables stay in near perfect shape, and as far as the stigma of pool halls go, this one usually defies the stereotypes with it's cleanliness. This is becoming one of our favorite hangout spots. There are 15 8-foot pool tables in the 'regular people' ($9/hour) section and 2 larger, nicer (and more expensive, $20/hr) tables in the VIP section. They charge by the minute, so you won't be paying $18 for 61 minutes. Large selection of beer and their specials are pretty good too. The roughly ten dart boards are electronic (plastic tipped darts) and cost about $1 per person per game. The food is similar to what you would find in a decent bowling alley. Take that however you want. Surprisingly they allowed us to bring our food to the area where the pool tables are. You would think they wouldn't risk some drunkard spilling wing sauce all over the felt. With that being said, all of the felt on the tables were in excellent condition. As of 1/1/2015 there is no smoking inside, which is nice. I've been told that some of the regulars there are now 'on strike' because of that. Oh well, more room for us. Some reviewers here are complaining about the music, or lack of. They do have a juke-box system that is sometimes silent, but never really more than a minute or two. It has a large variety of uncensored music and the acoustics are very good in the building. You can easily have a conversation while the music is playing. This place is very nice and I would recommend going there before 7 or so if you don't want to wait for a table.
