I came here once a long time ago, but since I'm usually not in Coronado in the mornings, I never really had a chance to come back. This past Sunday, I decided to head over for a morning walk and finally stopped in again. The shop is pretty small with limited seating, so it's not really a place to hang out. It seems more like a grab-and-go coffee spot. There aren't many great coffee shop options in this part of Coronado, so I can definitely see why it's popular with both locals and tourists. I arrived just before the morning rush, so I was able to order and get my drink almost immediately. The cashier was super friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. I also really appreciated that they offer a military discount--it's always nice to see businesses supporting the military community. I ordered a medium cold brew with coconut cold foam and asked for very light ice. I was so happy they actually listened! So many coffee shops still fill the cup with ice even when you ask for light ice, and I hate watered-down coffee. This one was perfect. The coconut cold foam was absolutely delicious and added just the right amount of sweetness to complement the bold flavor of the cold brew without overpowering it. I also love that they serve organic coffee. I'll definitely have to remember to stop by more often whenever I'm in Coronado in the mornings. Next time, I need to try one of their donuts too! read more

6/7/26: Tried the coconut macadamia cold brew with coconut cold foam. The cold brew was great in flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess from coconut the cold foam. Couldn't taste the macadamia personally but overall the cold brew with the foam was a solid 4.5/5. I will come back to try other drinks. read more

Service was incredible. The young man who helped me was super hospitable and went above and beyond. Since it was my first time, he walked me through the menu, recommended their most popular drink which was the Son of a Sailor and even told me about their protein pastries and donuts. I ended up getting the protein coffee cake and a burrito. The coffee was great, the burrito was stuffed and actually nutritious, and the coffee cake was packed with nutrients too... maybe a little hard to swallow but still tasty overall. My family and I were staying at the Hotel del Coronado for the week and we wanted to find a local coffee shop for breakfast. Trident Coffee came highly recommended, but sadly it did not hit the mark for us. We ended up going to Better Buzz the following days for our coffee and breakfast fix. This place is not cheap for a quick brekkie and coffee. I ordered the Daily Rations Cold Brew with Cold Foam ($7.70) and a Breakfast Burrito ($13.95) which came out piping hot. The burrito is not hefty by any means, but this is Coronado and not San Diego proper so I don't hold that against them. Think of it as more of a wrap. My one complaint about the burrito is that the filing is chopped up and coated in sauce so it's just a mushy experience (see picture). I was stoked when I read that it included hash brown, but since it wasn't a whole crispy hash brown, you couldn't tell the hash brown from the egg or the sausage coated in the cheesy sauce. I hate to say it, but it just tasted sloppy. The 2 gentlemen working are passionate about their craft and very friendly. This place is popular with the locals and military community and I respect that. They do offer a military discount for those eligible. Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. Solid choice for a coffee fix. We tried the salted caramel cold brew and hazelnut latte. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the cold brew coffee was. Usually I'm not a fan of cold brew because I like my coffee a little more on the creamier side. Very unique flavors. Service was also good. They have military discount as well. My pittie, Cali, and I popped into this adorable coffee spot on Friday afternoon. I'd just gotten some gelato down the street & Cali was feeling a little left out of treat time, so we were in search of a pup cup! We bopped into Trident Coffee which is one of the cutest coffee shops I've ever seen! Cool nautical looking light fixtures, an Octopus mascot keeping watch over the place & lots of interesting coffee, tea & nibbles options. There are a few chairs inside & few tables/chairs outside as well. The kindest barista ever was so excited to see us, especially Cali, and he made us feel so welcome. He kindly offered her a pup cup and he delightedly gave it to her. Cali loved every aspect of this interaction & I really appreciated how nice he was to my pup. This is a shop I've had on my list for a while and I finally made it in, I am so glad I did. This is one of this places where the staff sets themselves apart and makes your experience better becuase they have a passion for what they do and they enjoy doing it. This only happens because of a good and healthy work culture. The coffee was delicious and we had some of the baked goods as well and everything was great :). You would think they have a lot going on with such a small little cafe but they have done a great job, it's cute and there is fun decor everywhere and they are in a great area on Coronado. read more

Honestly I spent about $50 on coffee here for myself and my 3 friends. The coffee we ordered had no flavor other than straight coffee. We ordered iced coffees and they had no ice. It was as if they were watered down and the fact that we ordered 2 horchata lattes and you couldn't taste anything other than watered down coffee. My friend wanted to go for a birthday run in Coronado. I wanted coffee right after the run which was something I looked forward to as I pushed myself to finish the run LOL. I found this shop with a variety of cold brew options which also included nitro cold brews on the tap! As a coffee drinker, I definitely had to check it out. The location that we went to is located next to some local shops on Orange Ave in "downtown" Coronado. There's a lot of free street parking around the area but could get very hectic and almost impossible to find during holiday season, dinner hours, and weekends. My boyfriend and I wanted to try their cold brew flight, however, they only had 2 sets for the flights which was already taken by another couple. Whaaat sad. Instead, I got their New Orleans Cold Foam, one of the cold brews, annnnd it was kind of sour. It was kind of confusing, giving sweetish taste but with the sourness kept overcoming the coffee bitterness that I was looking for. I personally don't like sour cold brews but that's my own preference. Some people might enjoy them sour, but I don't think they should be sour... However, my friend and boyfriend both liked it though. My boyfriend got their Mexican Mocha, not sweet at all surprisingly! It was quite good, and the aesthetics of the drink were beautiful! Definitely a lot better than the one I got. I was bummed that I couldn't try their cold brew flight but after trying the New Orleans Cold Foam, I was a bit glad that we didn't. I got the trident cold brew with oat milk and my bf got the turmeric latte with oat milk. Usually i am a fan of sweeter milky coffee drinks but i was pleasantly surprised with my cold brew drink! It was very smooth and didn't taste bitter at all. Normally I add sweetness to my drinks but the cold brew was super refreshing on its own without any sweetness. The turmeric latte was sweet and had a cinnamon taste and my bf loved it as well. Would love to come back the next time I am visiting Coronado!! read more

Pretty yummy coffee shop! It's very convenient to the beach and many options to choose from especially functional mushrooms. I went around lunch time and the staff wasn't all that attentive and wasn't super open to making recommendations possibly due to the time of day. Coffee itself was just the right around of sweet and not bitter. There wasn't much seating inside but outside there were a few tables available. A good grab and go spot! read more

One of a few coffee shops along busy Orange Ave but caught my eye when I was in the area. The space itself is small but there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Really dig the sea theme throughout. Staff were attentive and willing to offer suggestions based on dietary needs. Appreciate that they offer not only dairy free, caffeine free, and low acid options. Had a nice little chat with barista Cynthia about other local shops that offer similar options. Got the Cognitive Mushrooms functional latte with oat milk. Located right on orange ave, this small coffee shop is so good! The matcha is flavorful and earthy. I get it sweetened with agave which is so good. My husband gets the caramel macchiato and loves it! I love to see a coffee shop that has both the classics and an extensive specialty coffee menu. I visited on a cold and gloomy day so I went with a classic- The London fog. I really wanted to try ALL of the speciality cold brew drinks because they all sounded delicious. I'll certainly be back to try more of their offerings. I went with the 16 oz London fog which had 2 tea bags in it although I feel it could have used 3 because it tasted a little watered down. Fantastic coffee shop. We stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe is small and cozy. There's about two tables inside and one table outside if you want to enjoy the outside air. The menu is straightforward with their specialty cold brews and other drinks. We went for the cold brew flight. The staff gave us a few recommendations and we also picked our own. We got $1 off our flight from the Yelp Check-In. The flight came out in less than 5 minutes and it's actually a good amount of cold brew! We really enjoyed sampling each flavor. We stopped by Trident and it was packed! Now, the service was SO friendly and welcoming and while it was busy they were getting everyone's orders out quickly. They have a lot of options and it was hard to choose. With new spots I generally use a caramel latte as my baseline. The prices are on par and my caramel latte was full of flavor and great! Drinks taste good and portion is good even if its a little pricey. They offer different types of drinks that other places dont have. This location in particular has good service and is clean inside. Nice place to stop into and grab a drink while walking around. read more
