This restaurant has a very poor customer service, so disappointed. I ordered 2 crispy pata for our Christmas dish 3 days prior the pick-up.On the day of pick-up, they only gave us 1 instead of 2 because they "sold it to the other customer." The garlic rice with any of their dishes is simply amazing I always get my Lumpia there to bring to parties and everyone is so happy when They see it in my hands when I get to their door it goes fast everyone is super nice that works there and helpful and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food or breads or deserts I have purchased. read more

Do not get their empanadas, I'm used to Red Ribbon empanadas and this place sells very bland empanadas, doesn't taste like anything, no flavor at all. I wish they would open a Red Ribbon around here. read more

Yesterday I called and ordered #4 which consisted of pancit bihon, lumpiang shanghai, and shrimp tempura. The lumpia and shrimp were good. The pancit was cold, less than half of what it used to be, had a few cabbage, no meat or fish ball, and tasted awful. Second bad experience with the place. read more

I accidentally discovered this place on our way to Ranch market. I wasn't feeling well and I was craving for Arroz Caldo. I already know I can only eat that if I buy the cup version where u put hot water so imagine my surprise when I saw this place! My in laws thought it was a Chinese restaurant. I informed them that Trining is a Filipino name. Sure enough as soon as we walked in and I saw Pandesal I got so excited. It's a small place but they have all my favorites, from the halayang ube, to buko pie, egg pie and they also have a lot of the dishes that I grew up eating like lechon, dinuguan, pinakbet, palabok, adobo, lumpias, pansit, etc. The prices are so reasonable. Oh yeah they have halo-halo and different kinds of shakes. I tried their lechong kawali and arroz caldo and so yummy! I told my in laws I'll end up visiting u guys more often now. LOL! I met the owner Jazmine and introduced her to my in laws since they live close by. My father in law is already looking forward to trying their lumpias, beef steak, caldereta and adobo. read more

Dont eat here people! Theyre serving old foods. Supposed to be fresh everyday. Their left over foods get stuck on their fridge for 1 or 2 wks and still mix it to their new cook just to save themselves from buyin fresh veggies or meat. The veggies they use are rotten, gettin it from the grocery store for free or pay it for low price. So pls dont be too fool with this kind of restaurant. And oh last time i bought food for to go, i found a worm in my pork stew!!! Its disgusting!! Dont wait till you guys experience what i had. This supposed to be no star. Smh. read more

Price is fair and classic filipino dishes that are always available. If you want real deal filipino food come here! Lechon Kawali is made fresh and is always available. Its hard to find filipino food in the area but this place does it right. I prefer to take out... the interior could use some updating. But its all about the food. read more

I never write reviews, but because of the horrible customer service, a $37 order that was incorrect for food that was decent, I felt it necessary to leave a 1 star review. Honestly, I am half Filipino and can truly say that I felt like I was being talked to in a demeaning way because I didn't look full Filipino, not saying they are racist there, but anyone who comes from a Filipino family knows what I'm talking about. Secondly, to have a chicken BBQ plate special and give one measly stick of chicken, and overwhelming amount of pansit, which I ordered rice instead, but was given pansit, and 4 pieces of crappy lumpia, I find that pretty ridiculous. I also asked them for an additional order of pansit that would be good for TWO people, they recommended a medium pansit that was $9 and clearly big enough for at least 6-7 people. I get something to eat here whenever I go to 88 Ranch. I always get two item combo. The kare-kare is really good, the flavor is spot on and the meat is very tender. I also like their longganisa and torta. The prices are very reasonable and the food definitely hits the spot. My husband doesn't really like Filipino food with the exception of lumpia so I don't like cooking a lot of Filipino food so thanks Trining for bringing my native cuisine accessible and affordable! read more

I was always hesitant to try out this bakery only because it was a bit on the pricey side for filipino food but decided after 6mos after 88 ranch grand opening... I gave it a try. I ordered a two combo plate ($7.50) kare kare, sinigang, half rice and half pancit. Holy crap... I devoured the kare kare and rice! It was freaking amazing! Brought back great memories w/ my mom. Came in today for sinigang since I've been sick and craving for some good soup. The gentleman that helped me was very polite despite being busy. I asked for an extra large size sinigang soup. He went out of his way to fill it with mostly meat and veggies. Then he included an extra container with just soup. I really appreciated this because it shows that they care about their customers. Most places (especially Filipino joints) are very shady with their portions. This is now my go-to Filipino restaurant in Temecula Valley. Oh, their Crema de Fruita is the bomb too! read more

Just came by with Fam ordered some curry x2 , Arroz Caldo, Kaldereta , Tinapa bangos and Tapa salty as sh#%! Food can be awesome at times or really bad, especially this Tapa which they over soaked with SoySauce! Desserts are awesome but what surprised me the most was that my son needed some water and the orange cooler on the right side of the counter had run out of water. My son asked if they can refill the cooler back up with purified water. They filled it back up but to my surprise in front of us and all the other customers they took the cooler brought it to the kitchen sink and filled it back up with Tap Water. Yes I know tap water seems fine but if you knew that it contains chlorine (a carcinogen) which is a disinfectant and has a high Sodium/Chloride level that can affect high blood pressure. I would think that an establishment in a nice location can at least offer purified water or Filtered at the very most. I have seen other establishments that were not as presentable offer pure water. I went here after shopping at the 88 ranch market, on 8/11 around 12:30pm - although, the lumpia was great the customer service was shit. Jasmine the cashier she was the one in a grey shirt, she didn't smile one bit, very bitter while taking our order, and after we ordered we waiting about 20-30 minutes for 12pieces of lumpia, until we finally went up to the girl and asked about our order, my boyfriend asked, "how much longer for the lumpia?" And jasmine replied with "$7" - HOW MUCH LONGER, NOT HOW MUCH - then he replied with NO, HOW MUCH LONGER? And she said "there right here".. And they were in a bag and ready. This girl forgot to call our order and didn't even apologize for forgetting. We will not be back. So rude. I couldn't believe it. read more

I love this place because the workers are so nice, the place is clean and it's inside a grocery market so you can kill two birds with one stone and get your shopping done too. The bf got the tapsilog and like always he scarfs it down. Today I decided to get the pork siopao, they didn't have any fresh ones yet (she said around 11am is when it's usually ready) so I decided to get the premade ones. they were nice enough to heat it up for me. Well, as I bit into it I was a little disappointed. Being from San Diego and having either national city or Mira Mesa being so close I've had my fair share of amazing filipino food especially siopao. Ever had tamales but you had to eat a ton of Masa to get to the filling? Yea, that's how this was, so much bun..not enough filling, aside from that everything else so far has been good including the desserts, I've even ordered their mango cake for my son's birthday before! Came in at 7:20pm to dine with my dad. They took our oder and served it "To-Go", I refused to have it "To-Go". I told them to cancel it then, we have 30 more mins to dine so I would like to dine-in. As soon as they served our food the KARE-KARE was served cold. Their excuse is they have a new employee so I said "well, you guys better train him properly". Serving food below their temperature is a violation already. Even if I order my kare-kare "to-go" YOU DON'T SERVE COLD FOOD. So they offer to re-heat the item. If they don't want people to dine 30mins prior they close, they should just let people know that the kitchen is closed at 7:30pm for last call and then start closing the store from then on. Horrible service for my first time dining here. Never again. read more

One of the two thriving Filipino restaurants here in Temecula. Everyone here is so nice and friendly. My husband & I go here at least once a week to buy breakfast or lunch or just to buy turon. I think their food is closest to the "carinderia" style food. Their food is flavorful and cooked properly. Our favorite is their Ginataang Langka, any of their ----ilog breakfast, sisig, & calamari. If you are looking to get a quick bite to eat. This is the place to go. Absolutely great customer service is inherent in this place. We have been spoiled with the best buco pie (young coconut pie) from them. They make it fresh right there at the bakery/cafe. I've lived in the Philippines all my young life and moved here in the U.S. as an adult and boy, Trining's has the best coconut pie, ever! Just like the usual, we go in for our pie. For some reason, this time, it tasted spoiled and it was mushy inside. I called and they quickly apologized, said they would make me a fresh one whenever I can come in. I have been to all the Filipino point-point in the valley and this is far the best. No MSG and not salty unlike the others like Coras and Great Panda. This reminds me of what I use to eat back in PI. I even ask some of the Tita's the ordered food and I bet they can cook as well but they said the food is very good and they do not even go to the other place. I ordered Kare-kare, sinigang, string beans, upo and bopis...my goodness very tasty and just about right when it comes to saltiness. I have a high BP so trying to avoid salty stuff..Aling Trining really impress me. And they have awesome customer service. read more
