Food here is okay, it's you're typical point point joint. When I go here, either I get their kutsinta (steamed rice cake) and ukoy (shrimp fritter). I rarely get anything else from here. I've had their halo-halo, and it was okay. The line they have set up can get very confusing. You stand in line, then you've got people looking at the hot food tray, the people that work there, they end up helping them first, instead of the people that are in line. I think they need to set up a better systems for that. It's hit or miss with their customer service, sometimes you get a friendly one, there's times where you don't get any hello or a smile. I don't write much reviews and I definitely hate leaving bad reviews, but what the fuck people. I bought some Pan De Ube from 88 ranch market that was made by Trining's. I ate the first one and it was tasty. So I decided to eat one more and I soon realized my gluttony deceived me. As I was chewing the second Ube bread I felt some type of hard substance, somewhat cartilage-like in my mouth. I spat it out and had my first regret of the day. There laid in my hand either a pair of insect legs or some type of fish/chicken cartilage; I don't know what the fuck it was but it definitely didn't belong in my mouth. Weird thing was I kind of enjoyed it, just kidding that was the second most disgusting thing I ever put in my mouth. And yes I keep a memorized list of the horrid things that had the pleasure of being in my mouth. Trining's has a super nice staff in the front. Those who work in the back though are careless about food preparation and have a disregard for the public's well-being by allowing this item to be sold. Although the items here are sweet and tasty I cannot look over that fact that my food was contaminated. Fix this issue or else you may lose more customers. We came in today for Arroz Caldo and when we got our order the arroz caldo is like paste. Too thick and when I asked for hot water so that I can water it down so that I can eat it, the lady behind the counter told me they don't have hot water with an attitude. They also have boba drinks that are safer than other options out in the Temecula Valley. All-in-all I'd recommend this to those that have Filipino tastebuds. December 24th, 2018 As I sit in the restaurant waiting for an other that my family placed two days ago for pick up today. Long story short my family decided to place an order for the holidays on December 22nd for an 11AM pickup today and paid for. As we get to the restaurant we handed the receipt to the dude at the cashier expecting to receive it at 11AM and be on our way and fast forward to 12 noon we finally get our order. Today I pre-ordered vegetable lumpia/egg roll. When it was picked up, Trinings prepared shanghai style, not veggy. They tried to reason as to why it was shanghai but I told them i always order there n i specifically said veggies. Their response is that the shanghai has veggies in it. They offered to replace it n for me to return the shanghai. Seconds later they call back n told me i dont have to return the shanghai, they'll just replace it with veggies. I arrive to pick up the veggies, they tell me they made a mistake n that i have to pay for the veggies as well. Poor customer service, they made a mistake n trinings refuses to accept mistake n make customer happy. Pathetic service today. Thank you for responding Lawrence/Jojo. Not a case of misunderstanding, it was poor customer service. My family and I always go there and a few of your staff recognize us. We know what to order and we make sure we clearly state it over the phone. When my order was picked up by a co-worker, my co-worker emphasized "vegetable" and it was also written on a piece of paper at the time of pick up and shown to your staff. Bottom line is that if there was a misunderstanding, at that point, your staff should have called and clarified what the order was. Trining's has my number. It's very unacceptable how my family and I have to go there back and forth simply because your store refused to waste a few pieces of egg-roll/lumpia hoping we would settle for what we did not order. When 88 Ranch Closed and rumor was circulating because of uncleanliness, I was still supporting Trining's and telling people I know to do the same even though most preferred Island Pacific. Without a native Filipino guide you might be totally lost here. Crispy Dilis, Kare kare, tapsilog, lechon, tortang talong, kawali, pandesal, sisig, pancit, lumpia, bangus, halo halo, diniguan, bistek, puto ube.....how can food with such adorable and fun sounding names be so unattractive? Trining's must be doing something right tho, the place is very busy. When my girlfriend and I were there there was a constant line at the turo-turo glass fronted case with customers appreciative of the taste and quality awaiting their turn to make their selections. We even saw several obviously non-Filipinos dining there and also ordering dishes to take home. I had the pansit, adobo with garlic rice and some sort of fried vegetable/shrimp patty..(you break it apart and dip it in vinegar before eating) ...not bad at all. If you are a picky eater you may be too intimidated to dive into the great variety and exotically named assortment of entrees, but if you ask nicely of the serving ladies you may get them to tell you "whats what" in the trays behind the glass. Seating is open tables with 4-6 chairs, nothing fancy, but if this is all new to you as it was to me it's fun try new things and experiences and people watch. Prices were very reasonable and portions were abundant. Suggestion to Trining's management......on the food labels, under the name of each entree, how about listing in English what each item is and what is in it? I think you might get more business if you do. Will I return? Most likely as they have the Filipino goods, are reasonably priced and are close to where I visit when in the Temecula area. pick up your phone. been calling for 10 mins now?????????????????!?!?????? They finally picked up the phone and placed my order, I was told it'll be ready to pick up after 10 minutes. That was 11:18 AM. Came and lick up my order at 11:45, there was a long line. No big deal, but only two servers and did not really care the the line keeps getting long. Finally reached the counter at 11:58 just to be told my order is not ready. The woman that was helping me was apologetic, but the other tall , elderly woman who rudely said they are very busy. That is fine, then tell me to come back at a later time and not promise that my order is ready in 10 minutes and when I came to pick it up after 30 minutes the promised pick up time - and it still not ready. I did not appreciate that rude woman- why are you in customer service businesses?? I am so done with this store - People go to Island Pacific or to Auntie Coras. Hi , I've always come here for breads especially ensaymada and never had any problem except today . I bought various kinds of bread on Wednesday and I always refrigerate them and just heat it up as I want it for breakfast with coffee . So come Saturday morning I heated up 1 ensaymada, settled in the recliner and then .. I took the first bite , I was chewing on something not edible , I thought to myself maybe it's the cheese got hard on the paper when heating up , so I spit it out and it is a piece of plastic ! Now I used to buy siopao there too but had something in there as well that didn't belong there for ingredient so I stopped buying siopao too , and now I'll be afraid to get ensaymada from there again . I have 1 left and I'm just gonna throw it away . Where should I complain ? And if I do what are they gonna do about it ? I don't want to get the place sued coz it's my fellow Filipino people trying to make a living but what else can be done ? Maybe can they be more careful in preparing food? read more

Steam Table remains limited in choices, but love the surprise off-menu items like lechon, fried chicken. You need to show up regularly during lunch to catch these great items. Service is pretty much the same, albeit friendlier. I went through a few mis-haps, my order went to the other customer at one point, queue line more defined. A few customers including myself were "admonished" by other patrons for checking out the steam table --- no one knows we need to be "in-line" first before making the selection... would be nice to have a sign to tell us "where" to go first so we do not get "shamed-for-ignorance" by fellow customers? Regardless, food and service are 5-stars, minus the little irritations here and there beyond the restaurant's control. read more

We happened to be visiting family here and as the weather is unbearably hot, I wanted a filipino snack. Taho. We looked up the closest place and Trining's was it! The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. We ordered the following: Tosilog (tocino, eggs, and garlic fried rice) Sisig Fries (Huge hit with the family because the Sisig was cooked fresh and still crunchy) Chicken Adobo (from the point point area, my kid destroyed it before I got a taste) Halo Halo x2 (best dessert ever ... the gulaman was perfectly sweetened) Taho (if you don't know what it is, get some) This is a go to place for my family now that we tried it. Best Halo halo I have ever had! Lots of little bits in the bottom, and you get a choice of ice cream flavor (ube, jackfruit, mango, cheese). Sisig here is on point. I can't say the same for the sisig fries, however. The mayo & cheese sauce doesn't allow for the flavors of the meat to shine through. I've had plenty of authentic Filipino food being Filipino myself. I stumbled upon this place because I was shopping at the market. I figured it would save me some time to cook dinner and just buy some to go. The portions were ok. The food (I ordered adobo and Kare Kare) was ok but wasn't the best I ever had. I also ordered my favored dessert which was the Leche Flan, and after I was almost done eating it, I noticed it had a small piece of mold growing. I didn't get sick or anything, and it tasted normal, but it just goes to show how old it must of been sitting out that long. That was really upsetting. read more
