i will have to be right down the middle on my review. These guys have a good selection of weapons. Most of the staff are pretty cool and are very helpful. Some are willing to educate you, but yeah. i have to agree on some of the other reviews about customer service. I do like the store, but sometimes the guys behind the counter seem disinterested in your questions and seem bothered. I just don't talk to those guys, i like the real tall guy and i think the other guy is the owner he is a younger asian guy , i usually talk to them. they are helpful and take their time with me. I have bought several guns from them and i am was happy with their service on those purchases, even though had an issue with the receipt on one purchase it was filled out wrong and i thought i was buying one gun, when i was actually buying another. " a technicality" but it almost cost me more and additional "restocking fees" for their error. . i always ask for a better deal. sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. these guys will work with you, sometimes. I learned a very valuable lesson recently and am grateful for the opportunity. But I'm right down the middle. I've had nothing but good service and good experiences . I bumped my review and will only shop here . These guys come through as expected . read more

I'm rating this place 5-stars because they have the most important aspects of firearms covered. And those aspects, in my opinion, include friendly customer service, excellent variety, and fair prices. So many gun stores have failed in one or more of these categories, but Triple A's did not fail me. As far as customer service, I was greeted by a younger guy when I came in and he said to let him know if I need help with anything. He didn't go out of his way to see what I needed but whatever. After browsing handguns for a few minutes, an older gentleman offered to show me a few handguns and answer questions I had (I forgot his name, sorry!). He took his time to show me each model I wanted to check out and told me what he knew about them without going overboard and offering unnecessary information or a forceful opinion about "stopping power" or "tactical situations". And I'm glad. He was friendly and helpful, and that is all I want in a gun store. As for variety, I only explored the handguns in the shop but I did notice a large selection of AR's and shotguns. Their handgun selection was extensive. Not the hugest selection I've ever seen, but they have most major brands and models covered. They have a particularly large 1911 section so if that's your model you should definitely check out what they have. And lastly, their prices were fair. I have seen the same guns for $20-$50 cheaper at other shops but I would rather spend a few extra dollars here for the reasons stated above. If you are looking for things to criticize here, there are some things. They don't have a parking lot and finding a spot close to their shop can be a pain. I also read some other Yelp reviews about it being in a bad neighborhood. I was there on a Friday at noon and it didn't look that bad. When I was on my way out there were some thug looking guys outside yelling "Yo f*** that n****!" at each other which isn't exactly pleasant. However, I can't take any stars away from the rating for those two complaints. All-in-all, I would recommend this place to friends. read more

In a time when guns and ammo are a rare commodity, Triple A's Sporting Goods is the place to be. I went in there for the first time about 1 month ago and I liked everything about it. It is in a very small shopping strip which is easy to miss and parking there is not that great. But once your parked and ready to walk in to Triple A's, please advised that the door is not open to everybody. You have to stand there and wait to be buzzed in which I totally like because there's a bunch of werido's, especially in Vallejo. Once you are in, this place carries just about everything. And they have a great selection of firearms from handguns, to rifles, shotguns, single shot Uzi's and not to mention gear, ammo, accessories. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Anyhow, I went in there looking for a compact handgun that LC Action in San Jose told me they won't be receiving until oh I don't know the end of 2013 or later. And guess what, Triple A's had it and I was glad. Vallejo is so much closer for me and they just have tons of guns to offer. I will definitely be back for another handgun and shotgun. I know on my way out the owner gave me a business card and told me they will be moving to a new location, one of which will offer better parking for its customers. In the meantime on Georgia St remember to watch your step on the way out!!! read more

What can I say, I love this shop. I asked if they had a certain type of case lube used for reloading. They didn't but the owner of the shop asked if it was what I liked. I told him it was the brand I used and he began carrying that specific brand just because I asked for it. Most places would just order the one bottle as a special order. I felt he went above and beyond. The owner and his employees have always been extremely helpful and have been honest and fair in their pricing of various items including guns and ammo. When hubby decided it's time to get home protection, he did some careful searching and found ourselves here. We went to their old location in 2013 to purchase our first gun then we recently came back to this new location for our second one. The guys here know their stuff, straight forward and extremely helpful. Of course, he also did his own research to know which one is the best choice for us. I've always been comfortable around guns and confident enough to handle them so I'm glad we have a go-to place to get what we need. I'm not from the area but came in here a week ago for the first time to do a PPT (private party transfer) and everything went as smooth as could be. Probably one the of the quickest PPT I have ever done! The staff seems very knowledgable and are very helpful. Great guys. They have a huge selection of rifles, pistols, ammo, and much more. These guys actually hit me up on Reddit last time I posted a pic of my CZ. I've been wanting to check them out but they were a bit too far for me. I recently found out they were having a 10 years anniversary sale so I decided to check them out. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was big and had lots of guns on display. They also had 3 glass display cases full of used guns. I ended up picking up a Sig Sauer SP2022 for a good price. Right now I am debating if I should trade it in for a Sig P229 with them cause they are selling them at a great price. I brought my brother with me and he wanted to pick up a used 1911. But unfortunately they sold their used guns fast. So he ended up buying a brand new Springfield 1911. Which was even better than the used gun he was looking at. Hands down one of the best Gun Stores in the Bay Area. You have to be buzzed in the new location by employees (very safe) I came for my first handgun purchase and was in and out with receipt in hand in 30 mins. They had 6-7 guys behind counter at all times. I picked up a Springfield Armory XD-9 SC. I love the XD line! Up there with glocks! After i passed the HST i has the XD in hand! Hands down friendliest gun store in the Bay Area, and also well stocked. The appearance outside of the store may be deceiving , but inside the employees there were very helpful. They helped me with finding the attatchments to my AR I needed, and showed me all the EOTECH optics that I was interested in but wasn't gonna buy that day. Nick was also very helpful with showing us all the shotguns we asked about, letting us handle them, giving info about specs, and even providing his input on which ones were better for defense/hunting/ 3 gun competition etc. Definitely going here for all my future purchases, and you should too. read more

I like to support my LGS's when I can, they have it EXTREMELY tuff. I went there way back when they were at their old location, and recently had an opportunity to go back. I wound up buying a long gun, scope, and more. They installed all my goodies for free, and even gave me a break off their marked prices. I'll definitely go back. Their new location is very nice, and service and product selection very good. The guys know their stuff, too. And I've always been treated with respect. I had a question, and used their online contact page, and the owner called me in like 5 minutes! Wow...I have used those before, and never had decent results Recently, I used one to make contact with a local biz to have $5-7k worth of work done. NO reply. Since they were the only game in the area, I had to call them. Then, after the dude came out to my home to get info for an estimate, it's been 2-weeks plus, and still no word. Even after I told that company I WANTED to spend the money and have that work done). Triple A Sporting Goods blew me away when I got that phone call, from the owner, 5-minutes after sending the website message thingy... I had a chance to check out Triple A's at their new location on Springs Road. It's very easy to get to and in a nicer area. Otherwise, everything else is still the same - you still need to get buzzed in (LOL), the customer service is second to none, and they've got outstanding an selection of firearms and accessories for all your Second Amendment needs. I went in to do a transfer last weekend and it was quick and free of hassles. They really know what they're doing at Triple A's. I also ended up putting a deposit on a Smith & Wesson snubbie for a really good price. I couldn't resist. I cant be mad at this store. Just make sure you know what you want before you go in. Plus DO not look at prices online because your going to poop your pants when you come in. But a wide selection firearms. I would hit them up if I desperately need something. Other than that I'll grab stuff online. But I would have to factor in shipping cost (if any) and wait time. regardless of the negativity this is a fantastically successful gun/sporting goods store and I hope its still here many years from now. Long overdue review.... This is my only to-go gun shop. Owner and staff are great and knowledgeable. Most gun shop would make you look stupid. This shop is very friendly to their customers. I went to this business to have a firearm transferred from a friend. Today when I went to pick it up the gentleman who handled it was extremely rude to me for no apparent reason. After the action was done and I paid out he placed the final paperwork on the case of my firearm and just looked away. Cleaned it today and when I went to reassemble the gun the magazine would not engage properly. Decided to call and they told me to bring it on in.
