Great variety of firearms new/used. My go to dealer at this location is Jed. He matches my temperament. Service first and then friendly after everything is squared away. I did have a disappointing delay to one of my recent purchases do to another rep not executing correctly. Other than that, I have confidence buying from this location. Parking may be a -1 star. The overall inventory and customer service is where they have their identity. Prices are about what you would expect at the present economy for your firearm. Competitive....an advantage for both parties imo. But do your self a favor and find Jed and the old gray white dude. This shop offers great communication and awesome Customer service. Triple A's was used to facilitate a transfer between another gentleman and myself. All throughout this process they communicated reliably and effectively over several days via email with myself, providing me with timely updates regarding my transfer. When I asked them to communicate with another business on my behalf, they did not hesitate to contact the the other shop for licensing documents. This establishment has the best selection and inventory I have seen anywhere in the East Bay. Where the staff may lack in amicability they make up in professionalism and thoroughness. My purchase was clean, oiled and ready for use. They do things a bit differently at this business and it's important you understand why. You cannot just waltz in. You need valid/current ID plus a secondary item that validates your residency such as car registration to even start the process of buying a firearm. Once inside, Frank the salesman I had was very patient and helpful as I chose what to buy. After purchase your info gets sent for DOJ back ground check. If you clear 10-11 days later they will call you and set an appt. time to pick up your purchase. If you don't answer they will leave detailed message. Once confirmed you go pick up your purchase. This is still my favorite gun store with ( pre covid) the best consignment in the Bay Area. I've seen CZ TS's, P320's and P365's drift in. I've bought a few pistols from them over the years and done some PPT's . They order CZ's 2 years in advance and are one of the few in the Bay Area who always have them. If you are looking for something , leave them your number and they will call when it comes in. I've used them to have pistols sent and delivered for warrantee items ( SigP365 ) and scored a Glock 19 Blue label with my coupon for crazy cheap this year. If you are new or a seasoned shooter , they are welcoming . If you have the resilience of a wet napkin, you probably will find something to complain about anywhere you go. They have always been helpful. Covid has changed a lot of gun stores and CA is trying to put them all out of business. If you're a female don't bother with this place. All it took was one employee to be the most unhelpful person he could possibly be, made me feel stupid and embarrassed to even step foot into the shop. Yes I am a beginner but how about instead of berating someone and making them feel less than, educate and try and work with them to help them feel more confident when walking into an intimidating shop. And the comment about "they don't just let anyone have guns you know" was very unwarranted, just because I am female does not mean I am clueless or dangerous with a weapon. Two different employees were condescending to my female friend, plus I believe they didn't go through the correct safety procedure either! I won't be back. I purchased a handgun here, and while I was checking out an employee said about my female friend to "get her started on something easy before letting her shoot this" because it had a light trigger. This is frankly pathetic. My friend was right there, and yet he talked right past her to me. He didn't ask if she was a shooter, just assumed (she's a good shot and would be perfectly safe with the 2lb trigger). At a different counter later, another employee was also condescending about my friend right in front of her. This is a great way to reinforce gun-culture stereotypes and put women off trying shooting! I also realized with hindsight that I don't think he completed the safety test properly with me. The employee demonstrated loading and clearing the pistol, but didn't get me to repeat this in front of him. I believe that is part of the legal requirements they should go through before releasing the handgun to me. This casual attitude to gun safety is pretty disturbing. read more

So my fiance and I have both shopped here for some time, but didn't think to leave a review until we saw all the recent negative reviews. For those asking about COVID and how the store operates... They r only doing one employee to one customer. So just like other gun stores or any other stores PERIOD rn, they will more than likely have a wait time to go into the store. They'll let you put ur name on a list and they'll call you when they can help u. Also keep in mind this is a SMALL business with only about 10 employees or less... (so if they have a line of 30 ppl outside and only 10 can come in at a time to look, and they each take an hr. YALL do the math.) Also. They are not letting people in WITHOUT ALL THE PROPER DOCUMENTS. Even if you're "just looking" you will still need the docs!.. why? Because the fact social distancing is being enforced in ALL business at the moment, they are limiting those in the store, to those customers who actually HAVE everything, which I APPRECIATE. (And, piggybacking off another review I saw saying you "have to purchase to look"... This does NOT mean you have to purchase! It means, you must have your docs, so IF you happened to find something while you were just looking, you CAN purchase and you wasted no ones time including other customers waiting to come in.) At other stores, they dont do this. And what happens is, the people who want to shop and HAVE the documents, end up waiting behind unprepared/not serious shoppers. So in my opinion this is a very smart and efficient way to operate. And yes.. THEY ARE NOTTTT SELLING AMMO, unless you're PURCHASING A GUN. (again responding to other reviews I saw). This is one of the last places I know with ammo, and it is BECAUSE they're actually saving for those who are purchasing! Cus what good is a gun, without ammo to practice/shoot? So again, this, TO ME, is smart. Also.. I keep seeing comments about people being racist in this store. Not true, I've seen every race both men and women of all ages. It seems to me they assist whoever comes to that door, as long as the person has all the proper documents. If u dont have them, you will not be helped. If you give them a hard time about what you need to get in the store, you'll probably get turned away. So, if u never purchased before I would email (seems like they answer more emails vs phone calls) them and ask what you need to purchase. If you want a California Legal OLL/AR friendly shop in the Solano County area, you have found the right place. Triple A Sporting Goods is the place to be for your California Legal OLL/AR needs. Positives: -For the most part, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, as long as you do not try to "low-ball" them, "It's not a flea market". -The selection of AR/AK-style rifles and OLLs -The selection of handguns -Prices; they try to be fair and make their money at the same time. Prices are for the most part, below MSRP on some handguns and some long guns. -Low pressure sales. They do not try to sell you just anything; they want you to be happy with your purchase. Negatives: -Location, being in the neighborhood it is located, it is sometimes scary going there. The even funnier part is having to be "buzzed in" in order to enter the store. Seriously, I cannot blame them for it. -Prices; some prices on certain items are high; ammo, some handguns, AR Rifles/Parts, AK Rifles/Parts, and other accessories. Overall, having purchased a rifle from them and other accessories, these guys have one of the best stores in the area when it comes to price and selection. FYI, they also go to local gun shows around the area and have one of the best selection of firearms at the shows. Ghetto as F*** (But WAIT). I mean what did you expect youre on georgia street (They are moving but not to a crazy nicer area) in Vallejo. There location sucks and you have to park on the road, HOWEVER, they are the best, most courteous, friendliest, knowledgeable staff Vallejo, Fairfield, Vacaville area. As you park and walk inside you get a little nervous with the old sign and the door you must ring to unlock. Once unlocked you are in a cage that has a door. Its added security but for a well known reason why. Once inside this place is small but they have so much selection its crazy. Their selection of pistols and long guns is impressive. Their selection and stock of ammo makes you wonder why other places dont have any. I can go on and on about their selection but just know its crazy delish. Their staff....they walk around loaded and cocked but once again "Vallejo". They are crazy nice from the manager to the older white gentlemen to the young asian kids. All of them know their stuff and if they dont they ask their coworkers who will know. They will help you if you are asian, white, or black, or even purple. They dont discriminate and dont treat you like a idiot if youre a first time buyer. They make it real easy and break it down to you if you are new to shooting. They know the area you are in. They offer to walk you to your car if you recently bought a firearm as they insure your safety. Prices. Crazy delish once again best prices and even beats the sacramento area gun stores. These guys stay in business because they know youre gonna buy their guns and keep coming back. Their accessories and ammunition is only 1-2dollar markup that I have seen which is reasonable from most places 5-8. They have a lot of tactical, Home defense firearms. I wouldnt recommend this place for hunting accessories but they do have the firearms. What you see up front isnt all they have they have a stock room with a little more selection. They always have 5-7 guys working (other businesses could learn from this) that way you are always helped in a reasonable time frame. They work as a team which is great because they try and great you and see if they can help you find anything. My first time in here they asked if there was anything Id like to hold. Nearly shit myself. Been to all different gun stores and this was the first place in California that let me hold a gun without the intent to buy to just ease my curiosity. All other places seemed too afraid to let you hold any firearm unless you were a serious buyer. Overall the best gun shop in the area and maybe even the bay area. Great establishment! I went into the shop today to make a purchase and despite the small shop being extremely busy (there were probably 25 shoppers in the store), we were greeted and helped within about a minute. They have an excellent selection and had exactly what I was looking for. They were very respectful and not pedantic (I am a woman and encounter this often in gun shops), though when I came in asking for a specific firearm in .45, one guy asked me if I had ever shot a .45 before... I suppose its a valid question though and they were just trying to make sure I was purchasing a gun I was comfortable with. I was also offered hot pink grips more than once... Um, just because I am female doesn't mean I like hot pink! Lol! Those are my only complaints about the service and obviously they are very minor (and I am sure there are plenty of women who come to the store asking for the cute little hot pink and silver guns... I am probably the minority in this case!) As I mentioned they were very helpful (I dealt with 3 different guys) and polite, and although their price on the gun I purchased was a little on the high side, I didn't bargain with them at all and would gladly pay a few extra dollars if it means I am treated well. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will be returning soon to make my next purchase! read more

Well like other reviews have mentioned, they have a lot of equipment and firearms. The issue I have with this place is that their ordering process is very slow. Picked up my first 1911 here a while back.... Aris assisted with my pick-up. Brutha is super nice. A genuinely cool-cat. We chopped it up over my chosen piece and discussed 'single-shot' conversions. He showed me a couple of their custom deals.... Spent a good amount of time with the breakdown and reassembly of my purchase, which I really appreciated. Even threw in a tube of Flitz for me. NO. 4/26/14 New location is great and the parking lot seems to be full (good & bad). People are still knowledgeable and are able to get anything I need. I have had two good experiences with Triple A. Their recommendations for a newb owner like me are pretty on point. I didn't feel I needed to buy just any weapon they had to offer. My first purchase was a Remington 870 recommended by an older Asian gentleman. Best shotgun I have used and I am still extremely happy with it. On 8/11/13 I purchased my first AR15 Stag Model 3 recommend by a African American gentlemen. I received excellent education from a young Asian American male that listened to what I wanted. He also warned me about usage of particular weapons in particular places. (I'll get their names later when I pickup my new toy). I can agree with the attitude with some of the previous workers but I usually avoid the worker(s). And I didn't feel any attitude this last visit. Best customer service I have had at a gun anything at 5:30 (30min before close). I also took my gun safety test and walked out happy. As far as the area it's not in a bad neighborhood, it is located on a main street. Yes a lot of black people occupy this area but if black people scare you don't come to Vallejo. I went to AAA for the first time today and was blown away by the excellent customer service and massive inventory. I manage a boutique retail store that does a few million a year in sales, so I know how a retail store should run. Is this place a bit packed feeling? Yes. Are the shelves a little disorganized? Yes. Does any of that matter when the people are friendly, extremely knowledgable, the prices are good and the inventory is full? I'll answer that with a big loud no. I've been to all the shops in Petaluma, and both shops in Marin and neither can hold a candle to AAA. I didn't buy today but rest assured, when it's time to pick-up my next firearm or accessory, it won't be the internet that I turn to, it will be to these guys. I've been going to Triple A's for quite a while now, and I figure it's about time I do a review. Let's start with the new location. I won't mention the old spot since it's no longer relavent. Parking! Yes. There is parking. Lot will fit approximately 7 cars, I'm guessing. In addition to street parking, you won't have a problem. You will still need to get buzzed in and that's a good thing. Once you are inside, you'll see a well organized, we'll stocked shop with a professional appearance. The staff is a good mixture of people. A good representation of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Gun stores for a new comer can be intimidating. If you've ever been to some older shops with the one old crusty guy behind the counter, you know what I'm talking about. At Triple A's take your pick and you'll find everyone is super cool. Selection is awesome. Prices are competitive. So, come in, get your handgun safety card, buy a pistol, shotgun, or rifle, ammo, shooting supplies or do your Private Party Transfers. They do it and have it all. They have a pretty good selection. Prices are reasonable. The only negative is their hours are not really designed for the working class people. They close Way too early and are not even open on Sundays. I have had to make several ammunition purchases, transfers, and three weapon purchases at another facility just because they are always closed.
