I've been a long time customer of this business and recently there was a new face helping. Here's the deal...you charge $5.50 for large mudsuckers and $4.00 for small. I measured the (3) large mudsuckers you sold me and the longest of the (3) a whopping 2 1/2" and the other (2) slightly shorter. I cant imagine the size of your small mudsuckers but for $16.50 that is the last time I will buy anything from that shop. I remember paying $2.75 at the most for mudsuckers from the lady which makes me wonder...why did you double the price and the bait is less? I will spend my money somewhere else but best of luck. I hope your prices dont drive your business to the ground. read more

Hello everyone! I'm just here to let you know to watch out for this bait shop because they cheat out of your bait mainly grass shrimp I asked for a pound of shrimp and they didn't only give me 3 quarters of a pound but 70 percent were Bay shrimp that dies In Hours even in water. they give the real grass shrimp t{ there own kind, they have been cheating people out of there money for a long time because you don't see what they weigh, and you wouldn't think so but I weighed it myself, and that's how I found out. There is a bit of racism going on at norms I'm done they will never get my money or my friend's . read more

I brought Norm a deer to process. I will say the animal was small and I shot the hind quarters out of it. However, when I went to pick up the processed meat I was informed that both the tenderloins were no good and that I "must have hit them with my knife". I am not disappointed about the volume of meat that I receive back given the size and damage to the animal, I am very dissatisfied with the walk around when I questioned the loss of the loins and his inability to appropriately describe the damage. This is the best cut of meat, as well as the easiest to retrieve, and was not compromised by the hit or the field dressing process, which bring to mind many questions. I am not sure I would bring him another animal given this experience. I hope others have had better. read more

I've been to this place quite a few times and they usually have what I need. I came here early this past weekend and grabbed some live bait and they gave me extra. The folks working the counter were pretty informative on current local action as well as entertaining AF. They had me and my cousin busting seams early in the morning. I've been a patron of norms since millies bait and tackle on sonoma blvd closed and was pretty much satisfied with the customer service and the merchandise [ bait and tackle ] I purchased since that time up until this past year when I began to notice the quality of their was not as good as it used to be the worms were either smaller or like half dead [barely alive] and their grass shrimps and mud suckers, bull heads were almost always too small.Normally I would call before going there and ask about the availability and size of the bait. And then get there realize pretty good meant pretty small especially the grass shrimp but being that this is the only bait shop in Vallejo I had no other choice if I was fishing locally. during the memorial day weekend my friend and I decided to go fishing as normal I called and was told they had worms and mud suckers. So we there I asked for 3 mud suckers and a dozen and a half of worms. when get there and started baiting up I look into the bait bucket and see1 mudsucker knowing I specifically said three and payed for 3 it is now 6;45 pm on a sunday so its too late to go back norms and their closed on mondays so let it go until the next time go there when I finally back to norms not expecting to receive anything for what happened I just wanted to let norm know what happened I told him he got up took my as tho he had n't heard a word and never even said sorry any other bait shop would have given me a couple of extra worms or something and say sorry or something. Now I know for a fact he heard me but just did not care. when I was leaving thought maybe I better get another 1/2 dozen knowing I might not have enough I ask the price of which I was 36 cents short so I said that's alright. then as I was leaving out the door I heard his wife say what did he say he started to say something to her but by then I was out of hearing range so I guess I'll just have to go to fairfield or el cerrito because my patronage was not appreciated all they wanted was money. michael. read more
