Wow. Came here for a few good beers and a meal. I decided on the fish and chips and bumped it up to a "large." What a complete disappointment. A 'normal' order of fish and chips elsewhere - for a few dollars above the small here, would be maybe 4X the amount of fish (same quality). What arrived was a small piece of fish and a smaller piece of fish. Questionable if it was actually breaded and, it was overcooked to the point where it was tough to chew. I couldn't finish it. Excellent food, beer, and service. My girlfriend and I came in for a lunch date and enjoyed the bacon caprese and some grilled cheeses. We had the Baby Falcon, Paranoid Pale Ale, and the Czech pale lager. All were delicious but the Czech pale lager was on another level. The patio was perfect for the weather and we even saw some ducks waddle by near the end of our visit. Will be back soon! read more

Triple Crossing Beer Midlothian was so much fun tonight. We got there and were able to get the very last table inside on a busy Friday night. The beer was good. The Poor Icarus IPA was the winner tonight. We've been to all their locations and have enjoyed the different food items you find at each. Their beers are good, the staff are very friendly and it's fun to check out the different vibes and offerings at their different locations. We don't visit any Triple Crossing very frequently but any of their locations will be somewhere we recommend meeting up with friends again in the future. We've had a lot of fun at Triple Crossing Midlo and might claim it as our favorite location. read more

Honestly I don't even know where to begin. Triple Cross's Falcon Smash has been my go to and favorite IPA since its release. Fast forward years later they open a location in Midlothian and not only have my favorite been beer but the best view and delicious food! This place is awesome! While they are not advertised as a "kid friendly" place, they absolutely are. We have always gotten great service and all the servers have always been kind and accomdating to our kids. On our last visit Nick was great getting hot honey for our boys with their fries and even making sure extra requests by the kids were ok before bringing them. The manager Jay is always friendly and has been wonderful every time we come in; which is frequent. He always recognizes us and makes a point to say hello. One of our favorite spots! read more

Tried this place for happy hour didn't enjoy it I'm sorry. The main bar tender was kind of rude to people. He was decent enough to us but just snippy. They didn't have Ice it was in a camping cooler which was weird (I'm not sure how long this place has been open), So our drinks and water was just so hot. We ordered the dry rub wings they had feathers on half of them smh. They were kind to bring us more but they were just Ook nothing special taste wise but fried well.The Pretzel was the star really good flavor. Overall 3/10. read more

Triple Crossing produces my favorite beers of course - but honestly it's the incredible people they hire and the consistently professional and courteous service we get that differentiates them from other breweries and restaurants in RVA. Whether hanging out on the heated (or fan cooledeck, sitting at a fire pit (my favorite) or enjoying the gorgeous high ceiling interior.....there are no bad seats at the Midlothian location that I frequent. The manager, Sophie and her team foster a really terrific and relaxing environment. Every one in the building takes ownership of the patrons....so you are never waiting for a server to come back or provide a refill. Whether I am alone (it's so relaxing I come up to sit, eat/drink and relax on my own some days!) or with a large group of my friends, family or clients.....I always feel welcome and honestly feel like "Norm" from Cheers...the team always makes an effort to make you feel valued. This comes from someone who has come in near closing time for "one drink" ....and who often stays for a few hours (and often right up until closing). I never get tired of the food.....or their incredible Double IPAs! The owners and management team really need to be commended for such a welcoming and comfortable environment! If you are looking for a great Midlothain hangout....try them out and tip well so their servers are rewarded for going above and beyond! This was a one time visit for us. The menu is extremely limited, the noise level is uncomfortably loud, they bring out food one at a time. We stopped in here for a beer and a bite to eat. It had a very cool atmosphere and the outside deck area looks like it's going to be really nice. It wasn't completely finished yet but it has a lot of potential. The beer was good. I got the Pilsner and it was a little hoppy, which I liked. The food was just mediocre. We ordered the pretzel, poutine, and the pepperoni and honey pizza. It was average. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. As a sometimes beer snob I typically find it hard to be impressed with the majority of the beers at a location but triple crossing hit it out of the park (if you are an IPA fan). I tried four of their brews, three ipa and the festbier and loved them all. Also grabbed the big q burger and fries and how delicious plus I had enough leftover for a second meal. BIG burger is def the perfect description. The place was booming with the perfect fall weather and all the outdoor seating available overlooking a nice pond. The food looks good with fresh made CHICHARRONS. Beer is priced like all craft breweries about $7 a glass, but you can get a 4oz pour too. Lots of parking spaces available. read more

Got more of a restaurant vibe than a brewery. Still Falcon Smash proves to be the staple IPA in RVA. I liked the new spot and I think this place will do well on this side of town. This had to be the craziest dining experience I've had in awhile. First we ordered our drinks and food, and while waiting wanted to check out the patio as we've never dined here before. I let staff know that we were just going out and would be back. When we returned our table had been sat with another family. No big deal but the this waitress said "your boyfriend found you another table we assumed you were moving outside" I was trying to politely tell her that we had let someone know but we would be happy to move when I was cut off "he has a table for you." Then my dinner arrived 10 minutes before his. Nobody checked on us. I was luckily able to locate some silverware on my own and so I was able to find boxes when we needed them. I bussed my own table. We had wings and really needed water so went myself to the bar to get some water. The two stars is because the food was alright for the most part. Pizza was not good. The outside is great. Food and drinks were pretty good but our waitress was blatantly rude several times. They apparently don't separate checks and she let us but held it against us all night and didn't even say thank you when we tipped her well (on their little device where you have to sign right in front of their face.) She was obviously annoyed and complained in front of our faces even though we were just eating and taking care of our table like any others with children would. This place is good for grabbing a snack and some delicious beer, but I was pretty bummed when I went back recently to find their food menu considerably smaller than the first two times I'd been. We had previously enjoyed going there for dinner and drinks with friends, but with such a small menu it makes dinner challenging. Had lunch at the bar. Not busy for a Saturday at noon. Burger was juicy and cooked correctly - needed 3 napkins! Attentive staff but not overbearing. Falcon Smash is always good. I was really looking forward to my visit here as I love their beers and honestly the beers were as great as ever. Now about the food: I ordered their Radicio starter and smash burger. The radacio was good- just as advertised. The burger, on the other hand, was way over cooked and the accompanying fries were cold. In fairness, I asked and they did replace the fries. I just ate the burger as I was worried that if I said anything they would have given me something that wasn't safe. I guess I'm just disappointed because I really wanted this first experience to be great so I could bring others. Again the beer is the best! The service was great. I just wish the food lived up to my expectations. I will try again but something different from the menu. read more
