There are two things you should know before walking up to this little donut stand. First: You will smell it before you see it. Second: You will lose the argument with yourself. I walked by thinking, "I'm just going to look." That's adorable. About 90 seconds later I was standing there holding a bag of hot mini donuts wondering why I'd ever believed I had self-control. Watching them make the donuts is half the fun. Tiny rings of dough disappear into the fryer and come out warm, golden, and immediately get tossed around in cinnamon sugar like they're auditioning for a dessert commercial. The smell should honestly be classified as psychological warfare. The donuts are served fresh and piping hot, which means your first bite is either pure bliss... or a reminder that patience is a virtue you apparently don't possess. The only reason this isn't five stars is because, well... they're mini donuts. Delicious? Absolutely. Life-changing? Maybe not. But they are exactly what you want while wandering Fisherman's Wharf. Just don't make the same mistake I did and think, "I'll share these." You won't. Ahhh the best sweet treat when walking the pier! This has been a family tradition such as long as I can remember. We buy a bucket and share while walking the pier at night. Heard good things about Trish's so we decided to give it a try while walking around Fisherman's Wharf. We waited about 15 minutes on a Sunday evening around 7:30pm and ordered 12 mini donuts for $9 at the window and it was ready immediately Donuts came out piping hot so definitely recommend eating them asap. They were crispy on the outside and melt in your month soft on the inside! This is a SF staple for tourist to actually come try. Its located at pier 39, and its pretty basic but its soo fluffy and made fresh upon order. Pretty expensive but I mean it is in a touristy spot. I'm glad that this location is still open after all these years. If I'm ever at the pier to visit its a must have to complete my day. The workers are always super nice and its super fast. If you're a tourist, come try it out! read more

Sooo good!! I don't know what I was expecting, but I couldn't get enough of these mini donuts. They were fresh, warm, soft on the inside and had some crispness on the outer part. Pretty good amount for the price too. I'm not in California anymore, but if I get the chance to come back to the area I would love more of these. read more

My friend and I were walking around Pier 39 on Sunday, and he mentioned wanting to try this place. We ordered the 7 mini donuts in a bag and it came with two little skewers. The donuts were so good! It was lightly sweet and soft with a slight crisp. The dusting of sugar gave the donuts a bit of a crunch. The amount of donuts was perfect for the two of us. It was a small stand in Pier 39. The staff were friendly when taking our order and handing us the baggie. There weren't that many people waiting, so we were able to get our donuts within a couple minutes. A must-have if you go to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf! Trish is a SF treasure. These warm, cute, light, airy, and fresh sweet gooey goodness. One of my absolute favorite donut shops in the Bay Area! I enjoy the bite size donut, cinnamon sugar coated yummy soft, warm and chewy donut that is offered at our very own Pier 39. Whenever I get the chance to come with my boyfriend, we stand in line and get my favorite donuts here and grab a delicious yummy coffee from Biscoff near the entrance. The service is amazing, fast and efficient. You'll get your donuts less than 30 seconds after ordering and paying! The line might look scary, but they move quick. The ambiance is great, you get a nice view of all the stores deep in the pier as well as a view of the water to your right. I love coming around sunset when the lights start to turn on and liven up the area in a very pleasant way. I love coming here, even if the crowds are huge. Food: 7 Mini Donuts Price: $6 Overall: The most famous place for mini donuts in a bucket! They also sell drinks here such as hot chocolate, coffee, and other beverages but the main stair is the donuts. You can smell them on pier 39. We decided just to get the 7 donuts for $6. I thought it would be heavy but honestly, I can see why people get the buckets. It is light and not too airy, coated with cinnamon sugar, with a small crisp to it. I have not been to Trish's Mini Donuts in forever! It's been such a long time that my past review definitely shows my younger self and how I used to type. So silly looking back! It is just how I remembered it to be and I still find it to be a good 5 star rating! Hot mini fluffy donuts with a perfect crunch on the outside served hot fresh. You cannot go wrong! $18 for a souvenir bucket full of hot fresh 36ct mini donuts. I am not a sugary donut person whatsoever but I just love how FLUFFY and HOT these donuts are and have the perfect fried crunch on the outside. I normally just tap off the sugar and get the perfect amount of sugar per bite. We also ordered hot chocolate and the hot chocolate was SO GOOD. Wish there were more spots like this in the city! The donuts are as fresh as they can be. They are slightly crispy on the outside and soft, gooey and chewy on the inside. You can get 7, 12 or 24 or if you want more the 36 and 120 (?!) donut options come with a souvenir bucket and tub respectively . If you have ever had SPARKYS at Universal City in Hollywood then you know how good these taste. They make them fresh to order and they are nice and hot when you get them! They are fluffy and coated with sugar cinnamon. Trust me when I say just get the bucket because the little bag will vanish especially if you're sharing ;) If you're at pier 39 then I highly recommend trying these little golden donuts. Trish Conklin is a San Francisco based food retail entrepreneur who specializes in mini donuts and novel chocolates in high volume tourist areas like Pier 39 in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf and Universal Studios in Hollywood. Operating for over 23 years, Trish now owns and manages six different food retail businesses under her parent company "Trish's Dishes" which include Trish's Mini Donuts, San Francisco Chocolate Store, Sparky's Hollywood Chocolate and Sparky's Mini Donuts, THE HOOK Restaurant at Pier 39, and several Hot Dog-Chowder kiosks in the Bay Area known as "The Dog House". What upset me the most was that after speaking with multiple people, no one apologized or acknowledged the mistake. I understand that things happen, but a simple apology and better communication would have made a big difference. Hot and fresh mini donuts... does it get any better?? It does actually if the place reps your name! Trish's Donuts has been on my bucket list for obvious reasons and it was worth fighting the crowds at pier 39 on a Saturday to get some. A piping hot and cinnamon covered treat - served quickly in a bag on a busy pier on a summer sunny day? I just dived into the moment AND the sweet goodness. People rushed passed me - and I only had eyes for Trish's (I mean, who doesn't? AmIright?). The sign said 6 for 5 dollars and I got 8 in my bag. Special Trish treatment? Perhaps. I call it good karma. These donuts are airy, not dense like a cake donut and if you're 3 or more people, I say get the bucket. 'Merica. I recently visited this donut shop while I was at the wharf, but upon trying their donuts, I couldn't help feeling underwhelmed. While the shop itself was a popular tourist attraction and had been around for quite some time, the donuts themselves were just alright. They tasted more like oil than an actual donut, which was a bit disappointing. However, one thing that was cool to see was the small donuts being made by a machine. Watching the process was definitely a highlight of my visit, and it's not something you see every day. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this shop to others solely for the donuts. But if you're in the area and interested in seeing a tourist attraction, then it might be worth stopping by. read more

Every time I'm at Pier 39, I have to get these!! In fact, I put in more change at the parking meter just to get buy myself extra time to get them. Although the bucket is pretty pricy at $15 a bucket, they're so worth it! I came on a windy and rainy day, so they were amazing. They melt in your mouth and have the perfect amount of sweetness. These donuts are the ideal thing to be eating while walking down the pier, or just at home watching TV. However, don't savor them till the next day because they do get bad! I had to reluctantly throw them out the day later because they did get stale and dry. All in all, the perfect delicious treat! read more

If you are near Pier 39 with some visitors, and if you are sick of seafood, and if the visitors with your are either allergic to seafood or vegetarians, try Trish's Mini Donuts. A sparkling alternative to the usual Dunkin' experience. Fresh, tasty, sometimes even warm, these mini-babies have all the three major food groups: sugar, carbs, and taste. They are warm and moist when you bite into them and they also have a crispy taste whenever you experience the first bite. I have come here numerous times, and every doughnut I have had is just delicious. Each one is crafted so beautifully, and it makes it so hard to pick between donuts! Because of that, I pay close attention to how people are treated. Today, an unhoused woman asked if I would buy her a maple doughnut. I happily agreed, and we walked into your shop together. She politely asked the employee twice whether the maple doughnut contained cream. He looked directly at her but didn't answer. After the second time, I asked, "Excuse me, is there a problem? Did you hear her?" Only then did he respond. When we went to pay, the cashier held the doughnut back instead of simply handing it to her while I completed the transaction. I understand businesses have payment policies, but the overall interaction felt cold, dismissive, and unnecessarily demeaning from beginning to end. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It costs nothing to acknowledge someone, answer a simple question, or extend basic kindness. I chose to take my business elsewhere because I refuse to support a business where compassion appears to depend on who is standing in front of the counter. I sincerely hope the owners reflect on how customers--especially those who are unhoused or otherwise vulnerable--are treated. A little humanity goes a long way.
