Hand down the rudest people! Slamming drinks down in front of my three year old, not polite at all, constantly have to go to the counter if you need something then they expect a 18% tip. The point of going out to eat is to eat, not having to get up every time you need something. That behavior in front of a child was the icing on the cake! I'm a fan of their original location on Dorothy Lane, I was surprised to find out they have a second location nearby on Wilmington Pike, my Mom found out about the second location while at the salon a few weeks ago. We stopped by on Mother's day and for it being a Sunday afternoon thought they would have been busy, but we had the restaurant to ourselves. Friendly service, I ordered the veggie lasagna, while my Mom and Dad both ordered meat lasagna. I love how they serve it in its own little crock, which is served piping hot & tons of melted cheese. The house salad is okay, the best part is the homemade garlic knots which come with it right out of the oven! We also tried zucchini fries as an appetizer, as we were reminiscing about a former Dayton restaurant which had great fried zucchini, the fries were okay, could have had bigger pieces, the fries were very small. Then the lasagna came very hot out of the oven, you had to wait a few minutes before you could enjoy and enjoy we did, my Dad commented that was one of the best dishes he's had in some time. We were stuffed, but my Dad also got dessert cannoli which he also said was very good. The restaurant seemed to receive carry out & delivery orders rather than people sitting down to eat, it is smaller than the location on Dorothy Lane, but good to know there's a location even closer to my parents & they also have authentic New York style pizza. I am a fairly regular customer. The store knows me well. Ordered $42 worth of delivery food on Sunday. It never came I called on Monday. They were closed. I stopped by the store on Tuesday, when they were supposed to be open, and no one was home at 230 in the afternoon. I called Wednesday the delivery driver told the boss she gave me the food. Stopped in on a Sunday and was quickly greeted and told to sit where we wanted. The front dining area was half full of people. As we waited for our food. I enjoyed listening to the older Italian man greeting and interacting with customers. It felt like he was happy serving guests in his living room at home. We ordered the garlic knots and a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The knots were good but the pizza was outstanding. It came out piping hot from the oven. The crust was a delicious hand-tossed NY style, the sauce was tangy and the cheese was very tasty. We can't wait to come back and try something else in the menu. They deliver within a 3 mile radius. What a pleasant surprise this was! It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's clean and welcoming inside. The service was attentive, and the menu was large with lots of choices in different price points and types of Italian favorites. Our four-person family all got different dishes and every one of them was hot, fresh and delicious. They have specials, (always order the special,) and the night we went it was a combo which gave us the opportunity to try even more variety. First time at this new pizza/ Italian place. We ordered a pizza and some parmesan garlic bread knots. The garlic bread came first and it was very tasty. Everyone at our table loved them. The pizza came in a reasonable amount of time and it was very good. Fresh dough, fresh pepperoni, fresh, sauce. The crust was cooked perfect. Great taste. The waitress was very nice and was very considerable to everyone. The only thing I didn't like was that the only soda they offered was can soda. So no free refills like most restaurants. My husband and I tried tronis a couple weeks ago. We both were disappointed. I tried to eat my dinner, but every time I took a bite it made me think of a wet dog. I was so disappointed. I got some eggplant dish, and I typically love eggplant. My husband said it's ok. He had a calzone. Honestly I can cook better, and for the price of our dinner I was hoping for more. We've heard nothing but great things about Troni Brothers and decided to try it based on the description of the smell. We've not gone to another pizza place since. After the ahhhmazing Philly sub added to order on a whim I had to review. The best bread I've ever had from a restaurant was loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and let's not forget the cheese. Perfect after adding a little salt. Pizza is a huge 16" of NY style heaven cut into big slices. The bottom of the crust is so crisp and perfect. It's greasy in a good way, but never felt it was too much so. Lalalove it! I've yet to hear anything even remotely negative from anyone who has been here. Owner and other staff are really nice and helpful. Order is always perfect. OK...I've read some positive reviews of this place where it is said that the reviewer 'must be confusing this place for the Troni's on Dorothy Lane'. So let me state, I am not confusing the two. I think both are TERRIFIC! Don't know the history, politics, family feud (if any) involving these two Troni's, BUT we had dinner at the Wilmington Pike Troni's a few days age and we were EXTREMELY impressed and pleased. Shrimp Scampi was delightful, with large, tasty perfect shrimp. The Eggplant Parmigiana was PERFECT! Perfectly prepared, tasty and wonderful! (I wish they served beer in addition to their wine, but that's a small issue). GO TO TRONI' OK..have visited TRONI Bros on Wilmington Pike a few times now. Here is the truth: The eggplant parmigiana is the best I have ever had. AND....the pizza is NY perfect!!!!!! This place rocks! The food is amazing. If you like southern type Italian food you will be pleasantly surprised. I grew up in Italy as a young girl. The sauce here is very authentic. The staff is so friendly and very accommodating. And, if you like deserts, try their homemade tiramisu cake. It's awesome. They have a wide assortment of other cakes as well.
