Trophy Cupcakes made my day from the first bite. The cupcakes are soft, fresh, and beautifully decorated every bite tastes like happiness. The staff is super friendly, and the whole place just feels joyful. Perfect spot for a little treat or a celebration

This spot was the last one that we went to in University Village before leaving and I'm so glad that we went in. They had gluten-free cupcakes and I had one of each. They were sooooo good. The best part? The box they came in. Even when dropped, clumsy spouse, they didn't fall, there was no frosting slide, and did I mention the nice soft cupcakes and the great frosting? We were welcomed upon entry which felt food and they had some interesting flavors. The grandbabe had candy from another spot, so he didn't get a cupcake. I loved the look of the shop and thought that it was quaint and cute. And the attitude of the employees matched the warmth of the shop. The only reason I'm not coming back is because I don't live in the area and I'm not sure I'd have a reason to go to University Village, however, if I'm ever in the area, I'm definitely dropping by.

Little cupcake shop in u village offering boxes and a variety of interesting cupcake flavors. The people working were helpful and nice, taking the time to explain the different flavors of the cupcakes to me. I ended up getting a lucky charms cupcake which had vanilla frosting, vanilla base, and a cereal milk favored filling. The cupcake overall was pretty good. I'd prefer less frosting as it got a little too much. I liked the filling and the cake base itself. Overall, not bad! Definitely a place to go when craving a single cupcake.

I ordered my gender reveal cupcakes from here. The process was so simple on their website; choose which one you want and the date/ time for pick up. They have a bunch of different cupcake occasion sets. Each set decorated in such a cute way. There are a range of flavors and the ability to walk in and get 1 to how ever many you want. I love looking at the pre-made ones and deciding through the glass which one I would like to try. The decor in the shop is cute and sometimes you can also find cute knick knacks to purchase.

The cupcakes were pretty good. They were also packaged well. The person who helped me was friendly and helpful. It was pretty empty when I arrived and they were changing out some of the options. Cute spot to grab a nifty cupcake!

Absolutely delightful, as always. Their cupcakes are the perfect size, perfectly moist, and perfectly crafted with respect to the cake to frosting ratio. I literally sprinted in one minute before closing and received such warm service, despite my rushed arrival. The cupcakes are reasonably priced and always fresh, even at the end of the day. I love all the flavors they offer! These cupcakes are the perfect treat for any lake day sunset, especially on a warm day when you can't transport ice cream all the way to a viewpoint.

If you want a quick treat I recommend the salted caramel and the carrot walnut cupcake. Both were moist and tasty. My only complaint is it seemed like the cupcake was more frosting than cake. Wasn't a huge fan of the vanilla. The cake was a little dry but I appreciate how dense it was.

Cute location in uvillage. We only tried macarons this time. The inside is small without seating. But there are some outdoor seats in the uvillage. Im a macaron snob so I didn't find these particularly impressive. They were made well but not very flavorful. I've definitely had worse and have had better. Not really worth $2.50 to be honest.

If you wanted to be wow'd by really pretty cupcakes, this is the place to come. The cupcakes are pretty much works of art almost and they are tasty as well. You can even build your own cupcakes! Your treats come boxed so you don't have to worry ruining the cupcakes before you devour them yourselves. They're not cheap, around $6 but they are really good. We stopped at the U Village one, super nice staff.

I went to U Village for the first time in a while when I stumbled upon a sign talking about cupcakes. So, I walked into this cute little shop and ordered a soft serve on a cone and a gluten free salted caramel cupcake. The staff working were okay not the friendliest or most helpful until I asked questions. The soft serve reminded me of the one from McDonalds, just in a waffle cone. I didn't try customizing it or anything to just try the ice cream. Anyway, the cupcake was so delicious I haven't had a gluten free cupcake that tasty in so long! It was moist and soft and maybe had a little much frosting but overall really good.

Cute & Quaint little cupcake shop in University Village. Loved the bright decor and how warm and inviting it was even though it was a small space. Fresh baked cupcakes with gorgeous, yet simple, decorations. I loved that this store carried everything you need for a quick party setup like cards and party decor. The packaging for my order just added the cherry on top! I ordered the "Hummingbird" cupcake which was a banana cake with coconut and pineapple and a cream cheese frosting. It was AMAZING!!! The cupcake was moist and flavorful and the frosting was light, airy, and tasty. I loved it all!

    Red Velvet Cupcake
    Kathy X.

I love the classic Red Velvet cupcake from here. I also love the s'mores but they only carry it 1-2 days a week (I believe), so make sure to check their cupcake schedule if that's what you're looking for. The cupcakes are always perfectly baked. A slight crisp around the edges and super soft and moist cake with the perfect amount of frosting. Trophy has some of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten and they never disappoint when I have a sweet tooth!

Triple Chocolate Cupcake, blueberry and Strawberry Sundae
    Jay S.

My friends from Bay Area requested getting his triple chocolate cupcakes. My order was blueberry pie, it was good, cream on top is not too sweet, cake was little flaky, I like them to be more dense. It is pricey $5 for small cupcake.

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Kind of sketchy. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

I will note that I haven't tried the breads, but as a non-morning individual, I do appreciate that they do tend to still have many items available even later in the afternoon (~1-3PM time frame). You will have to find street parking, but I've never had too much trouble in this neighborhood even on the weekend. Butter Croissant (3.75/5): I'll admit I'm insanely picky with my croissants and I think Sea Wolf's is just okay. I want a stronger crisp on the outside, something that almost shatters and makes a mess when you bite in, but the inside has a nice chew. Kouign Amann (3.75/5): I had a really fantastic time with this my first time picking it up, they have almost a crunchy sugar caramel crust on the outside with super buttery pastry inside. Unfortunately, my second time picking this up ended up being a miss, just stale and much to dry. Cinnamon Roll (1/5): The raisins are a nice touch, but this was awfully dry. Even the caramelized crus on the outside couldn't save this and charging extra for cream cheese frosting on top of a dry dough is criminal.

Finally made it out to Saint Bread and I loved it! Arrived around 9am on a Friday morning and…read morewaited ~30 min in line. All the pastries except for the regular butter croissant were available, and we were able to place an order for the kimchi focaccia and sakura swiss roll, which were slated to come out around 10am. Service was super friendly! I got the hojicha latte, the okonomiyaki frittata, black sesame cookie, kimchi focaccia, and sakura swiss roll. The hojicha latte was rich and earthy in the best way, and it went really well with the black sesame cookie, which had a great strong sesame flavor, and the texture was perfectly chewy! The focaccia was pillowy and chewy at the same - I could've eaten five of these on their own. The frittata was my least favorite item, but by no means am I saying that it's bad! I thought the sauces overpowered it a bit, and the frittata itself was a bit bland - I couldn't even tell it had sweet potato in it, but it was cooked really well. There was ample seating in the heated patio, but parking was a little confusing, though we got lucky with the small lot right next to the store. That might have been because there was no AC inside the cafe/kitchen and it was over 80 degrees outside. Everyone had to form a line in the beating sun, which took over 40 minutes. No shade in sight until you are 3rd person from the front. Ordered 2 iced matcha lattes, which weren't whisked fresh. They clearly used a matcha concentrate in the drink unfortunately. The cinnamon bread felt stale, and less fluffy than expected. The same went for the sesame cookie, not super fresh. The cardamom bread was probably the freshest of the three items I got. I wouldn't return for any of the items I purchased.
