Both were fantastic and came in large cups. My chipotle chicken club flatbread sandwich came in a soft grilled pita and had a nice strong chipotle flavor. . My wife loved her Buffalo chicken wrap. This was our first time trying this place, and the menu is pretty basic...wraps, quesadillas, flatbreads, etc., most of which I can't have due to being gluten free, so my only option for food here is one of their bowls or a smoothie, or both, in this case. I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Bowl and the Detox Island Green Smoothie. Their smoothies are HUGE - not that I didn't drink it all, but it did take some time to accomplish! The bowl was pretty good, although I did find the spice to be a bit much for me (I'm a little wimpy when it comes to spice, so not sure what I was thinking). Kind of left my lips burning a bit. Healthy breakfast, healthy bowls, wraps sandwiches quesadillas etc., and also the best selection of smoothies anywhere! Today it was really hot and my hubby and I wanted a lite refreshing smoothie for dinner. So we got a couple of their super food smoothies. Only went for a smoothie and was pleasantly surprised that many of the dranks in this chain are flavored naturally and without a ton of added sugar. My Orange Ginger Glow featured carrot pulp, orange juice, chunks of ginger, pineapple, green apple and mango. A rather substantial serving and it didn't separate within moments of service, which I usually attribute to a serious influx of corn syrup, but according to the staff, many of these products are not flavored with sweeteners. All this for $6 and the best part: no monster brain freeze post-bev break. Loads of bright colors inside, and they take LevelUp (bonus!). I love this place and chain of restaurants. I came here almost daily while dealing with a hospital issue, which is across the street, mainly for lunch. I've also tried other locations and the consistency is fantastic. Their layout and aesthetics are really up my alley. I tend to order the Rustic Turkey and Apple sandwich which is like my favorite sandwich of all time. I really can't think of another that I like more.. I arrived at the location at 8:50pm and they had turned off all their cooking equipment and couldn't/wouldn't make anything except smoothies or salads. As I and another woman walked in I saw the expressions of the staff and that they didn't want us to be their. I eat at Tropical Smoothie all the time and can say that tonight completely turned me off. Finally, a Tropical Smoothie in my part of town! I love this place for a quick lunch on the go. Why eat fries on the go when you can have a fresh fruit smoothie? I've started trying their app which allows you to order and pay before arrival! It's so quick. I order a smoothie from the gym, and the staff is waiting to hand me it when I walk in. I'd highly recommend the app! Plus you get $5 off for every $55 you spend. I've never had their food but only smoothies! Also, if you are looking to cut carb/calories - I'd recommend substituting Splenda for Turbinado. I have been going the this tropical smoothie for about 8 years now due to the fact that i live very close. years ago this location was one one the best in the area and i was even considered a regular at one point. but i have noticed recently (this past year) that the service and quality of this location has gone down immensely. not only have they made my items incorrectly, and forgotten items on very many occasions (more times than not), but the service i feel is always very lackluster. the employees don't really seem they care nor do they look like they know what they are doing. i by no means blame the employees for this, but the management for they look very poorly trained. i have called to complain multiple times about forgotten items in my delivery orders or even my to go orders and i was told by the manager herself that it was my fault that i didn't get my items (which is ENTIRELY unprofessional and wrong in the restaurant business). i have even stopped ordering delivery from this location due to the fact that i genuinely do not trust them to get all of my items correct or even receive all of them. it's a real shame to see one of the best locations in the area to go to complete shit due to management and the ONLY reason i still give them my money is because they are so close to wear i live and the other ones are 25-30 minutes away from me. i'm just dissatisfied and disappointed. do better. read more
