1 Star - Disappointing experience and poor service I had a really frustrating experience at this Tropical Smoothie location around 1:30 AM. Earlier that night, I tried going to a closer location that was unexpectedly closed, so I drove about 15 minutes out of my way to this one. When I arrived, the front door was unlocked, so I walked in--only to be immediately told in a rude tone, "you're not supposed to be in here." There was no sign or indication that the store was drive-thru only, which made the situation confusing and unnecessary. I then went through the drive-thru to order. I got a Sunrise Sunset with mango and a Paradise Point. When I asked for a Blimey Limey, the employee responded in a dismissive and unprofessional tone that it wasn't on the menu. I ended up changing it to a Jetty Punch with orange juice and lime. After paying, I waited about 15 minutes for the order. When I finally got home (another 20 minutes later), I realized the drinks were wrong. None of the requested add-ins were included, and the Paradise Point had banana added--something we specifically did not want. In total, I spent about 45 minutes and $28 for incorrect drinks and rude service. Between the lack of clear communication, the attitude from staff, and the inaccurate order, this was a very disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this location based on this visit. 8/21/26 I ordered a Bahama mama and added passion fruit to the order. The worker @ 1:45 am not only got the order wrong but added dragon fruit instead which I am allergic to and my throat instantly started closing up. She has a language barrier is should not be allowed to take orders. It is a risk to customers and could kill someone if she adds the wrong ingredients to the smoothies. If she doesn't understand she should clarify with the customers. Luckily I had an epi pen in the medicine cabinet and instantly noticed from the flavor otherwise it would've been a trip to the ER and could cause someone with a more severe allergy to die. read more

It's not a good sign when 20 (YES, TWENTY) most recent reviews (over the last 10 months) are ONE star..... what is happening at this location??? And why is it not being corrected? Drive thru yesterday (service was extremely slow) with my mom and we got 2 smoothies and a wrap. The wrap was ok taste wise but was very light on chicken and was a mess. It was barely even "wrapped" and pretty much fell apart after a couple bites. Also my smoothie had virtually no taste, it was very icy and lacked sweetness and flavor. Sadly, the taste of their smoothies has gone downhill. We always visit this location when we come to Vegas and shop the outlets. We were here last year and it was delicious as previous visits. This time, we purchased 2 different smoothies and both were awful. We the kid smoothie tastes worse.. it was straight up ice with minimal flavor. I'm not sure if there's some sort of language barrier at this location but I've found it a little difficult to get my order done correctly more than once but maybe that's my fault for coming back. The smoothies just never seem come out right. For example when I've asked for substitutions of the protein that's added to the drink it's not taken into consideration. God forbid someone actually had an allergy to one or the other If I'm being completely honest some of the workers just don't look like they want to be there and seem bothered that you came in to begin with. I think one of the workers names was Maria but I might have gotten her name wrong ... but some people do understand Spanish so maybe talking bad on customers isn't the right move even if you think they can't hear you. A bit hard to find the location if going for the first time, I believe the street side is much easier to find. We just came from Target near by so locating them was a little difficult from the parking lot. The star off was because we ordered and I did mention the kid items have an edible straw. She didn't seem to understand us from the drive thru and after getting our order we only got one straw. I don't know if you can only order one but you are paying an extra fee for the edible straw. I definitely would have paid it but because the employee wasn't trying to understand she just gave us the missing straw I did ask for. Later on in the day, I noticed after leaving that she only charged us one yet I did ask for 2. Maybe ask separately after the drink orders the amount of straws you would like to buy. I am very disappointed with my recent visits. Unfortunately, my orders have been incorrect multiple times, and it's become frustrating to keep having to come back or request fixes. On my last visit, the staff member who helped me seemed impatient and dismissive when I tried to clarify my order. Instead of resolving the issue smoothly, the interaction felt tense and unwelcoming. She seemed aggressive and it was difficult to communicate because she only spoke Spanish. I also over heard her yelling at the other worker in a very rude manner. Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Blue Diamond is a polarizing location, so I will cover the good and the areas where they need substantial improvement. I have only used the drive-thru, so my experience consists of drive-thru orders. The first smoothie I ordered was Mango Magic. Mangos are my favorite fruit, so I figured I would like it. However, I didn't, so on my second visit, I asked the delightful Black lady who answered the intercom for any recommendations, and she suggested the Island Green and Pomegranate Plunge, both of which I loved. The lady's customer service was excellent, and the other employee's customer service skills were solid. This is a 24-hour location, yet, on various occasions, I have arrived at the restaurant to find that the open sign was on, the front door locked, and nobody was there. On one occasion, I ordered a smoothie online at 12:45 am, and when I arrived, no one was there. Since I chose the ASAP option, I could not cancel my order either, so I got charged for a smoothie I did not receive. Fortunately, I returned mid-morning, and the lady honored my purchase. Nevertheless, it is a terrible look to place an order and drive up to an essentially closed business that's supposed to be open 24 hours. I have tried going to this location numerous times after midnight, and it has been hit or miss. Often, more were missing because no one was there. Recently, it appears they hired new employees overnight. However, the two smoothies I ordered did not taste the same. The Island Green Smoothie tasted like it didn't have all the ingredients or mixed improperly. Maybe the new employees are experiencing a learning curve. I tried the grilled chicken breakfast wrap, and it was decent but not tasty enough that I would order it again. I tried a chicken Quesadilla at a different location, and it was okay, but also not an item I would purchase regularly. The smoothies that I recommend, if made correctly, are the Island Green, Avocolada, Pomegranate Plunge, Acai Berry Boost, and Bahama Mama. The protein-packed Chi Banana Boost and Peanut Paradise smoothies are not bad. Unless you're a health buff, I would avoid the Detox Island Green because it had no sweetness. I drank it. However, I would never order it again. If this location can consistently maintain overnight staff and the new employees get brought up to speed on how to make proper smoothies, they could be a 5-star business. Been here 3-5 times a week for couple years. Since a couple weeks ago the lines have been super long and every smoothie has been grainy or incorrectly made. Today came inside and the entire staff had no urgency working. It's understandable but when it takes 16min to make one smoothie and 18min total for my second smoothie, it's ridiculous. Not only that, the avocolada that was made was grainy thick and tasted awful. The big lady tried to ignore us and was visibly upset when we asked for it to be remade.
