I came in a little after lunch shift the other day and was a bit indecisive about my order but the very patient and nice girl at the counter helped me decide. I ended up ordering the Meatball with Provolone. The sandwich was well made with large meatballs and both the bread and the meat tasted fresh. Previously I had issues with the line situation, but in this case there was only one other person in the restaurant, so that was less of an inconvenience. The other, more serious issue centered around gnats and flies. I can confidently say that was not an issue when I revisted the other day. I was pleased with my second visit and the friendly, helpful girl who served me, I believe her name was Leah. I plan to return and perhaps I can convince my work to cater from here in the near future.

Italian sandwich was fine. Nothing special. Chose the white bread (maybe a poor choice on my part)…read morebut very 'meh.' Pickles were good. "Giant" sandwich is somewhat true in that the bread is over-sized compared to sliced bread -- but meat was lacking for sure. Friendly greeting upon entering. Clean and tidy...and naturally lit store inside. Nice patio seating. Kind of expensive for a simple sandwich. Not worth another visit.

The food looked as good as it tasted. The pastry was fresh, warm, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the wine. The wine list was wonderful. There were plenty of options, and it felt well chosen, not overwhelming. The rosé we had was crisp and light, which worked great for lunch. Service stayed attentive without rushing anything. Overall, this spot works well for a laid back but elevated girls lunch.

Save your time and money…read more I will start by saying the host & waitress were both very sweet girls and it was nice of them to warn us how "backed up" the kitchen was from the start. We came for lunch on a Tuesday at noon, expecting to miss any crowds or waits. There were about 5ish tables seated, so we were confused why the kitchen was so backed up. We both ordered a salad....and waited over an hour and 15 minutes. At this point I could have went to the store to make it myself. Unfortunately the quality was bad on top of the wait times and that's why I am writing this review. I'm disappointed that I brought my family here from out of town, we wanted to enjoy lunch and eat together, but it resorted in her eating cold chicken 20 minutes before me, and me eating lettuce drenched in dressing out of the plastic to-go container, which I didn't ask for They made it right by comping my salad and offering a free cookie, but due to the experience I don't want to give them a second shot. Very disappointed

First of all, this is not a vastly open space. There is no indoor seating and on a busy day, the…read moreline may go outside the door. And parking is not the easiest, you will likely find yourself in the Harris Teeter garage. But the wait is worth it. As a NJ native and something of a sandwich aficionado, I have a rather discerning taste for a good sub sandwich. So upon a friend's recommendation, I went with the classic Italian. It came with prosciutto, hot capicola, genoa salami, and sharp provolone cheese. Note to everyone: Go for the sharp provolone, not mild! The first thing I want to say about this sub/hoagie is major props for the bread. It was crusty with sesame seeds on the outside, pillow soft inside. About the only thing I would wish is that it was semolina bread. Outside of that, kudos for the bread. Plenty of meat on the sandwich, which is key. I HATE HATE HATE when I order a sub and they give me something like three or four slices of meat. Not gonna name names...but that's not an issue at PH. I really like the grab and go options for various food items like long hot peppers, broccoli rabe, pickle chips, and dirt pudding. Excellent addition. I'm taking a star off since they only offer bottled drinks, you can't get free refills. No brewed iced tea, that's only available in bottles too. I'll at least forgive them for having Pepsi products since that's a Philly tradition. I'll definitely return to try their Italian tuna, chicken cutlet, and roast pork options.

Customer service, website use all seamless. I had the Italian Diablo, you need to be ready for that heat. Every bite is like fire but you'll keep going back for more. I can't say enough how happy I was to find something like this out here! I might go again tomorrow! Its that real.
