They even initially wanted to argue with me that we had asked for PNB (no, I don't want pnb with spinach, and at 62 I know what was ordered). The last time this happened, I reminded the owner about how dangerous adding a widely known allergen such as pnb could be, and that maybe they should repeat orders back or put some system in place to ensure this does not happen. I was visiting from out of town and I was craving a smoothie, so I settled for a chain business. I ordered ahead so I wouldn't have to interact with anyone. And when I got there the man with curly hair ignored me. He walked right by me, and then asked if I needed help. I didn't get my salsa and I didn't feel comfortable enough walking up to the counter and asking for it. I've never felt more ignored in my life. This is my first time in a Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I ordered the Detox Island Green Smoothie. It has spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana, and fresh ginger. Although Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a chain, not all are alike. This specific TSC is located in sort of an out of the way spot (it's not super apparent that it's there when traveling by), but it's pretty and has a few outdoor seats. I have been there multiple times, and I almost always get the "Peanut Paradise Smoothie" and the "Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap." Food/Beverage Quality: 9/10- when considering what you're paying for- this isn't a steakhouse, but it's fantastic for what it is) Food/Beverage Quantity: 8/10- pretty perfect size, the smoothies are large for sure, but the wraps can be on the smaller side depending on how hungry you are Value for dollar- 9/10- you won't break the bank, and you'll enjoy your meal Service- 10/10- very nice group of young adults and teenagers working here, have never had an issue with them Decor- 7/10- I think this is probably the only place where this TSC falls a bit short, just cause you can tell it isn't the newest location, but it seems like they've been working to slowly swap out of fix any old/worn items- better decor would be the one place I could see them improving, but certainly this won't effect your experience too much. Stopped at Tropical Smoothie this morning in search of an easy breakfast. The girl behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart and knew the menu like the back of her hand. I've had a wicked summer cold the past few days and she recommended a great superfood smoothie ("island green" I think). I had the immune complex added as well. Very tasty smoothie, could barely taste the kale and spinach :) great balance. Got a second one to go for the boyfriend. Manager was also very friendly and helpful. I love the smoothies here but not a big fan of the food. My favorite smoothie that get all the time is the Detox island green. Smooth and taste great and not too sweet. The staff is friendly but straight to the point and the store here is always cool and clean. I have eaten here only twice but I have enjoyed both times. I got the choptle chicken club and it was yummy. I also got a peanut butter smoothie, very good. The staff were mostly teenagers; however were always friendly and courteous and would always make conversation while I waited for my order. I walked in and went to the counter and waited five minutes and then I realized maybe I should open the other door so that it would ring and alert the peoplein the back that I was there. Then the man who works the counter comes walking up from the booth sitting right behind me that's was there the whole time. After I order he tells me that the the chips come with it. Omg horrible business practices and not customer-focused AT ALL. More concerned with saving a few cents than making sure the customer is 100% happy, as is the MO at reputable places! I ordered a smoothie going out a limb kind of, straying from my usual, and at first sip, I HATED it, wasn't what I wanted at all. I just did not think it tasted good at all and expecting to get an understanding and accommodating response as I sincerely apologized and plead my case to the owner/boss, I was turned down and forced to BUY a whole new one. Almost everywhere I have gone would have heard me out and asked what they can get me instead and say sorry I didn't like it!!! Would you rather KEEP your customers or save a dollar or two!! It's just bad practice and not American at all. I hate stingy feeling companies it makes me feel unwelcome and uncared about and now I feel like I don't want to help their business at all by giving them any more of my money. UGH. Also they NEED to get more than one giant size cup to offer smoothies in like really you only have ONE size and it's literally huge!! They may have the best movies in town but they have the worst service for some reason they can never be open on time and online it says they're open at 7 AM on their door it says they're open at 8 AM I can't understand why they can't be open by at least 8 AM. read more

My family and I come down to Florida quite often and we always stop by Tropical Smoothie Cafe. At first it was just for the smoothies- which are very good, but more recently we've been ordering food. I got the king ceaser wrap and it was very fresh, and prepared fast. The chicken was grilled nicely and the cheese was good, too. The smoothies are very refreshing and yummy.
