    Trio dip and Cheese Borek

Wonderful place tucked away in pac heights! The interior is super cute with a white Mediterranean feel like something you would find in Greece. The food was great! All the dips were delicious and well seasoned and the portion sizes were reasonable for a somewhat higher end restaurant. The service was super nice. Our table was small so they brought a stool over to put the extra food and kept checking in to make sure we were comfortable.

Really cute spot for a dinner! The vibe inside was very warm and mediterranean feeling. The service was very prompt as well. It was decently busy inside on a Tuesday night! We ordered the dip appetizer which comes with 3 dips and pita bread, and the veggie moussaka to share. I enjoyed all the dips & the bread tasted very healthy if that makes sense. I also didn't know what to expect with the moussaka but was pleasantly surprised! It was super flavorful and I loved the cheese on top. It's packed with beans, veggies, and potato chunks and goes perfectly with the rice. Prices were reasonable and we had some leftovers!

Really yummy Turkish restaurant! I came here with a friend for their Turkish breakfast for 2 and we were blown away by the variety of flavors and the large portion! There's a variety of warm bread, a spread of olives, cheese, yogurt dip, tahini, and shashuka with beef sausage. My favorite bites were the shashuka with pita bread and the simit (a Turkish sesame pretzel) topped with kaymak + honey. I loved the kaymak which reminded me of a British clotted cream and the labnah parfait which had such a great thick greek yogurt consistency with a nice tang. It's a great way to try bunch of little bites - the perfect girl brunch! The atmosphere during brunch is casual but fun and there was a DJ as well! It's lively without being too busy or loud which is appreciated on Fillmore! Definitely come by if you're looking for Turkish cuisine.

Came here with a friend for dinner on a Monday. There was no wait and the staff was attentive and friendly. The interior was warm and chic and great for a date spot or friends catchup. We ordered hummus with lamb, cauliflower, and the chicken skewer to share. The hummus with lamb is amazing and a must try. I've never had such combo and it's so flavorful. The cauliflower and the chicken skewers are good as well but the chicken was a bit dry. Maybe lamb skewers would be better. Overall a nice place with reasonable portions and nice vibes.

Service was good. We sat in their outdoor covered seating and it was nice and clean. We tried the Turkish beef dumpling with the yogurt sauce and the lamb chops with warm hummus and roasted potatoes. The dumplings were small but plentiful - mostly dough and the beef flavor was not notable because the ratio of filling to dough highly favored the dough. This tasted nice but the beef was not the highlight. The lamb chops we ordered medium and they were very good. Overall enjoyed the meal.

This is a delicious Mediterranean spot ! All the dishes were so good and the portion sizes are big enough to share ! This is a great date night spot as well and the service was great ! The dumplings were so unique, defs worth a try !

Ordered a Greek chicken salad to go and unfortunately noticed a live bug moving around on the lettuce through the container lid. I returned to the restaurant and showed it to the staff, and they replaced it with chicken and rice. While I appreciate their quick response, this was not what I ordered (no avocado, cheese, veggies, etc) and I did not receive any discount.

This place needs no introduction. With its amazing service and flavorful food Troya never disappoints. The first time I came here was a year ago and when we went yesterday, the flavors were even better than I remember. Seating is wooden chairs and benches (booths), and it is such a cozy atmosphere. Service was 10/10, as our server was extremely attentive to consistently filling up our waters and clearing plates (or providing plates) promptly.

Very cute place. I didn't think it would be as spacious inside based on the outside. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 130p. There were people in there and we got seated right away. There was a DJ there. I thought that was a cool addition to the ambiance. I had the Shashuka. It was very saucy. I wish they provided more pita bread because I had a lot of tomato sauce left. The sauce didn't quite taste homemade but more out of a can. I could be wrong but to me it didn't taste "fresh". It was still good though. The egg was cooked just right. My friend had the Turkish scramble. He said it was good. I could've scooped some of his scrambled eggs to mix with my tomato sauce. I would come back again. The table next to us had a huge salad. It looked so good. I'll have to try that next time I come back....with that said, I'd definitely come back.

We found Troya to be ok, 3.5 stars (which I'll round up as usual). We got there for a late lunch, around 3pm, and ordered the Vegetarian feast for two. There were several dishes, with a range of quality. First out was a salad, which wasn't very good. It's not a Greek salad, for one thing. The feta was completely tasteless, and watermelon radishes look nice, but added no flavor. We mostly tasted the dressing and green (?) olives. There was a platter with tzatziki, hummus, and muhammara, with some pita. It wasn't bad, not special. The falafel balls and dolmades were quite good. We liked the cauliflower and crispy brussel sprouts with aioli very much. Finally there was moussaka, made with eggplant with lentils inside. More seasoning was needed in the tomato sauce, and the rice pilaf was pretty bland as well. But it was a lot of food, and we left with several boxes. The setting was bright and clean, but just generally needs a flavor injection. They gave us two small pieces of baklava as well, which were tasty.

Love this spot! It's super cute & cozy and the food is so underrated. I like how simple the menu is. We ordered the trio dip platter, red lentil soup and braised lamb shoulder. All the dips are so delicious! I love the muhammara here, it's soo good. Also, the lentil soup really surprised me. It's creamy and is perfect for a chilly day. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Also the rice with the yogurt was creamy and perfectly spiced. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here!

The music and interior décor create such a great vibe here. We made a reservation just to be safe, and the moment we walked in, the incredible aroma had us excited. The portions were just right, allowing us to try a variety of dishes, all packed with bold and delicious flavors. Highly recommend the lamb shoulder and Manti, both were outstanding!

We went to Troya to celebrate our anniversary. I noted that on the open table reservation. It was pretty easy to get a Monday night 6:30 reservation. There were plenty of tables to choose from, too. He had an IPA and I had a glass of Turkish red wine. They came pretty fast. My wine was served chilled which was interesting, but fine. We shared the Brussels sprouts. They were loaded with paprika. So much in fact that my plate was red after trying a bite. Too spicy and no Brussels sprout flavor. Not my favorite. Then, I had the quinoa salad and he had the lamb shoulder. My salad didn't really have quinoa. It mostly had lettuce and radishes and strawberries and olives. It was listed on the menu as having pomegranate and apples. When it came with strawberries, I asked our server why it had something else. Apparently they were out. I wish I knew that because I don't like strawberries and was hopeful to have a quinoa salad. The server comped me a salmon skewer which was super cool. I liked the skewer and our server who was kind. He enjoyed the lamb. Overall it was fine, but we have many other options in the neighborhood that are so good.

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.
