Restaurant connected to the Holiday inn resort. Dinner was shrimp and linguine in a cream sauce. For some reason unbeknownst to man they added ground chorizos that actually took away from the dish. I had the bone in veal that according to the description was supposed to be pounded very thin ( it was not) over a bed of Jasmine rice ( just plain short grain rice) and some tasty asparagus. So. We (my grandparents and my aunt) are here for the Warrensburg Town Wide Tag Sale. This is the third year staying here at the Holiday Inn and we've always gone to Mario's for dinner on Saturday night. My aunt and I came down to the bar to watch the Yankees smack around the Twins since the game cannot be shown in our room, my grandparents came down shortly after. Long story short after playing six rounds of trivia we decided to eat in. Three of us started with French Onion Soup. It wasn't terribly hot like it should be but it was nice to dig right in rather than spending five minutes trying to get your first bite in. Broth was tasty and was filling enough where I am happy I didn't order a dinner portion to my meal. Everyone had chicken sandwiches which they enjoyed very much. I had carrot cake which was a mouthwatering bite. Only thing that could make it better would be caramel drizzled on it. I wrote this same review on google but I think it's fair that people are aware of the experience I had here. My girlfriend and I felt like we were discriminated against at this establishment (we are interracial lesbians). I visited the Holiday Inn and decided to stop here for Happy Hour. Earlier in the day, we ran into one of the bartenders who told us about an event there so we were excited to come back. My girlfriend and I walked in and there were 2 other older couples sitting at the bar that both had their dishes. We sat at the bar and the same bartender we spoke to before met us with a cold demeanor, I worked in food service so I understand we are not perfect and chalked it up to nothing. We gave her our drink order and looked at the menu to order appetizers. We sat for 1 hour, the waitress didn't look our way again. About 3 more girls came to bartend/waitress so we were excited to finally order when none of them looked our way either. At the point we left, there was a table of 8, and 3 couples at the bar with 1 man by himself. That man had 3 drinks, the new couple that sat down got their food and drinks, and the other couples were finishing up. We can't help but believe that this was discrimination. Everyone else was being taken care of except for us. Even when we finally flagged down someone for the check, they sent someone else to close us out who just handed us the tab with no words exchanged. We left and ended up having a great vacation and a great meal elsewhere but that was the worst, most uncomfortable experience at a bar/restaurant I've ever had. I stayed at the Holiday Inn and was able to get Room Service for TR Restaurant. I was so happy and it was really easy to order. It wasn't contact less because you have to sign off of the check for the room, but the delivery person wore a mask and kept her distance. The fries were good and they gave great portions. My boyfriend had the Buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken is breaded like we like. I got to taste some of it , I feel like they would have really good chicken fingers. I got the wings , the Frank's Hot. I only got the wings because it was mentioned on the menu that they were award winning. They taste like regular okay wings. I was expecting something fantastic. They weren't nasty, I think I was just expecting very amazing wings. Besides that , we got a good amount of sauce on and for everything. I haven't had one bad meal here. The servers are fantastic. My family and I don't once a year retreat to the holiday inn, in. Lake George . Rooms immaculate pool, hot tub , sauna perfect. You don't have to leave. Breakfast buffet 12.95 they have it all even a chef on the line who makes you anything you'd like. His omelettes are astounding. He had a great attitude the first day. The second morning I was greeted with indirect jabs that caused a small scene and I became embarrassed (not offended) very loudly saying _ we need to raise the price of the buffet" " You gotta watch out some people will sit here for hours and think it's an all you can eat" Most of the breakfast crowd stared on. This restaurant is located in the hotel. Has nice outdoor indoor seating. Staff is very nice and friendly but food is not that great. I ordered avocado toast and was very disappointed. I am use to have smashed avocado with tomatoes and some other ingredients but it was just cutter avocado and tomato with really tiny two pice of bread. And when I took a bite of avocado it was bad. Home fries served with toast were good but we was party of 7 and non of us was amazed with breakfast food there. read more

For a hotel restaurant TR's is pretty darn good! First time in LG , went for the Adirondack Nationals. By the time we arrived, it was late and we were too tired to start searching for a restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. TR's was conveniently located in our hotel. Enjoyed a delicious margarita while we waited for our food to arrive. I had the fish and chips . DELICIOUS! Not greasy and piping hot .... perfect! Hubby had a loaded burger. He actually said it was one of the best burgers he's had at a restaurant. Cooked perfectly, big and juicy! Service was great, considering it was late and very busy due to the event going on. Very attentive and friendly . We also had their buffet breakfast . Good selection and an omelette station . Best part - they leave a coffee pot at your table! Definitely one of the better places to eat in Lake George Village. Open year round. TR's is located inside the Holiday Inn, which is up the hill from the Village. I mention that it is uphill, because if you walk there from the Village it's a fairly steep climb. If you drive there, there's plenty of parking. Our bridge group plays cards at the Holiday Inn on Wednesday afternoons. Just about everybody gets there before the game and get something to eat. So you're talking maybe 20 to 30 senior citizens eating breakfast or lunch there every week as a group. I have never heard anyone complain about the food. This would include hundreds and hundreds of meals served over the past few year without a fuss. And this group include some picky eaters. So this review includes feedback from literally hundreds of meals. Service is usually good, although sometimes they get a little backed up. They definitely try to do a good job. The lounge area is quite nice. Usually there appear to be a fair number of locals at the bar. You can look out the window and see the lake. They have complementary ribs on Wednesday after 4 PM Definitely give TR's Restaurant & Lounge a try. It is definitely one of the top dining locations in Lake George Village read more

visiting from out of town. came here because it was one of the few places listed as open late (til 10). shares its location with a Holiday Inn. decor is dated, fireplace was nice, though. service was very very slow. waitress was pleasant, but the service lacked. we order a dozen chicken wings- they were fabulous. the waitress didnt bring any sauce at all with them - had to ask for bleu cheese, also had to ask for plates and napkins. she brought our entrees out as we were in middle of eating our appetizers. everything felt clunky and awkward. i ordered the bleu burger- wagyu beef with bleu cheese crumbles $25 burger - came with no bleu cheese. a veteran server passed by asking how things were and i explained my burger was missing its main component. she handled it really well, and offered to replace it. i declined and she took it off the bill. she also gave me a slice of cheesecake for the trouble. okay place, wings were awesome! but probably wont be back. read more

While the food wasn't bad and the kids eat free deal adds value to the experience if you're a guest at the Holiday Inn the TR's is attached to, the service was very inconsistent and uniformly slow. The server we had for dinner was extremely pleasant and engaging with our kids, but the meal was exceedingly slow. On Sunday morning, when we called down for room service, we were informed that they couldn't provide room service for breakfast that day, only take-out. When I went down to pick it up at the appointed time, the food was still not ready for another 15 minutes, and the woman who greeted me told me that the one chef they had on duty had to take care of the buffet first, then the take out orders. Worse still, when another guest informed her that the self-serve coffee carafe was empty, she stated that it, "wasn't her problem," and walked away. Stressed or not, that is an unacceptable response. All in all, overpriced average food with slow service. Even for a hotel restaurant, a rather disappointing experience. read more

These folks were voted best wings in the area and I can attest to the quality of the wing, the flavor, the crispy exterior and the perfectly cooked interior. Stopped in Lake George for a last minute trip and nothing is really open during the off season but they were and the food was very good for the area, definitely a hidden gemm. Some of the worst service and self awareness I've ever experienced here in Lake George. Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for about 2 years now and this will spend any money in this place. Every single time we have come we literally had to beg for service and the food was below expectation on par with the putrid customer service. It's seems they literally hire anybody who direly needs a job that week to come in and ruin the ambiance with their lack of effort a normal business would entertain. If the location wasn't so great (connected to the holiday inn) we wouldn't even set foot in this low level restaurant but here we are lol. Service - 2 Stars - Slow, and if you are sitting at the bar, be prepared to be ignored by the bartender unless you are a local, which is pretty funny considering this is a hotel bar/restaurant. Location - 4 Stars- the Holiday Inn at Lake George is a great hotel - it is such a shame that the restaurant in it is such a disappointment. I've had breakfast, drinks, and dinner here over a number of visits to the hotel. I wish I had anything good to say about the place. Really the only good thing I can say about this restaurant was it's ambience. The tables and the designs of the restaurant were actually pretty amazing. Outside of that the visit left little to be desired. We came here solely to try the Italian buffet. It was advertised at a 13.99 price point. First was our trip to the salad bar they had square black plates that looked very dirty from watermarks being on them. The salad bar was okay but it was very limited and very small. Next we grabbed some garlic bread. It's a general practice that garlic bread be served warm but in this case it was ice cold. I will say that the Gouda cheese on the salad bar was amazing and you could help yourself to a slice. I then went up to the buffet to try the stuff shells meatballs sausage and chicken parm. The chicken parm was dry and tasteless. The meatballs and the sausage were both very bland. The stuff shells were the best of the buffet though they were overcooked and the fillings spilled out of most of them. All in all not a great experience with their food I don't think I would come back again. Though our server Dakota, who was new, did a very good job. read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. My family and I went for both breakfast and dinner, and both were phenomenal for several reasons. First, the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety and for dinner I had the prime rib special which was fantastic. My husband had chicken park which he also loved s if you're staying at the resort, kids eat free which is a huge bonus. Second, both waitresses we had along with the hostesses were so kind. They talked with us, and our kids, and made our little ones feel so comfortable (they're normally so shy but we're actually conversing with them!) Finally, j had the privilege of meeting the owners who impressed me with their kindness beyond belief. I know there are so many restaurants to choose from, but when we come again this will be one we certainly visit multiple times. read more

For a hotel restaurant, this place totally exceeded my expectations. The food, from lunch to dinner, was actually quite pleasing and the cocktails were fun and enjoyable. We ate here for the first time when we arrived, just to get something in our bellies and the food was surprisingly good. While the buffet breakfast left A LOT to be desired for especially for its cost (expired milk and awful eggs), the made to order omelets were decent. What was great about this place was their service to the pool area - felt like we were at a resort just ordering drinks and food. I especially liked the wings, crab cakes and fish tacos. The kids meals were good too from chicken nuggets to pasta. And the french fires were off the hook - none of us could stop eating them. The cocktails were really great - especially this gin, basil and lemonade drink they had on the menu. I came here for breakfast after hearing about it from family members who constantly stay at Holiday Inn (the restaurant is attached to the hotel and one kid eats free with a paying adult- only if you stay in the hotel). Our waitress was Wendy and she was really amazing. One member in my party ordered eggs Benedict while me and someone else got the buffet. The eggs took a long time so Wendy came over and informed us the eggs were hard so she made them make another order at no charge. Wendy did very well as it seemed that she was the only waitress at the time. Food was really good at the buffet and there was a wide variety. I came here another time at night after struggling to find a dinner place. It was the perfect place to watch the fireworks over the lake (see photo). Food was not as good as breakfast and our waitress seemed to have no idea what was on the menu- I asked what kind of Mac N' Cheese was it on the kids menu and she had no idea (this happened several times). She managed to always come back to the table with an answer though. Overall I recommend you come here for breakfast and if you want to dinner! read more

Haddock was okay but we've had better. Another night we went for a drink and Bob the bartender was one of the best bartenders/tour guides of the area - giving us great suggestions on places to visit and eat. Everyone is very friendly. They have messed up my order every single time but most if not all of the servers are foreign exchange students so you have to forgive! The interior is nice. The breakfast we had here while guests at the hotel was decent,however i feel like i have to mention the way that my husband and i were treated when we chose not to order drinks with our breakfast..the waitress wendy seemed appalled when we declined to order coffee or juices...there is free coffee in the lobby of this hotel for guests...later when bringing our check this waitress remarked to us that she would have to explain to her manager why there were no drinks on this check..seriously!!! If that is what the managers do there i think something is really wrong there..i assume she was lying to guilt us into leaving a bigger tip.. Despite this treatment we returned for breakfast on our departure date because we didnt want to stop on the drive home. again same waitress this time she successfully bullied us into ordering juices at 3.50 apiece after we told her we'd already had coffee in the lobby. I regretted not standing my ground by not ordering a drink but honestly she made us feel humiliated by refusing beverages.... Prices for breakfast at this hotel restaurant are on the high side..there is a free kid breakfast with each paying adult,i believe this is what inflates the bill for customers without children. They have to make up for it somewhere....Breakfast bill easily over 25.00 for two if you get beverages...if not about 20.00 since most breakfast entrees are between eight and nine dollars..again food was decent but prices very high... read more
