We came on a Sunday night for a quick dinner. When we walked in, we were initially a little confused because there is a section for the bar (right side of entrance) and another room to dine in (go left). The Adirondack crab & Asiago bake was good. The bake itself was perfect for eating with the bread, but a little too salty. The bread that comes with it would have been perfect if it was crispier The Famous Adirondacker came with a choice of fries, coleslaw or salad and a pickle. This specialty sandwich is unique because it is on a long roll and not between the bread. It could have been delicious if it wasn't so salty. The fries however were delicious and crunchy, and not overwhelmingly salty. The Canadian Mounty also came with a pickle the same choices of fries, coleslaw, or salad. This sandwich was very bland, the chicken was not seasoned at all. The only added flavor to this sandwich was the Dijon mustard that came on the side. Our waitress was very kind and helpful throughout our whole stay Overall, this place is nice for people who just want to hang out at the bar or want a quick dinner. Again, some three and a half years after my initial review, I can only give the Adirondack two stars. The food is below par, and gives the appearance that they might be in financial difficulties due to the way the food is served. The onion soup was tasty enough, but only had the thinnest layer of cheese on top. Same for their cheeseburger. One slice of bacon broken in two, atop a very meager piece of cheese. No lettuce, tomato, or onion. Maybe you have to ask for that which is standard in every other establishment. The ketchup even seemed to be watered down. The fries were soggy. Seems like a lot of corners are being cut to save on expenses. There's something amiss here. I cant quite pinpoint what it is, but having eaten here several times, I think that I might be done. I will no longer be bringing friends here for a meal, unless everywhere else is shut down. read more

Stopped there to try today the food was good but the service was awful! After being served waitress never checked back and we were out of drinks but decided we were done couldn't find the waitress and then saw her and tried to get her attention but never looked over and disappeared again. My husband decided to go to the car because he was frustrated being it was already 25 minutes waiting for the check and a to go box. So I personally got up and looked around a couple times but no luck finally she came out I walked over and asked for a to go box she told me to walk around the counter they were on bottom shelf then I asked for the check and she said she'd be right out with it so 10 min later she came out with it I ask who do I pay she said me I gave her the card right away she said that was quick I had it in my hand now for 45 minutes! We had a 50th party for my husband here. great service and food was good! we are very happy with our experience!

First off , this would be better if they were fully staffed. No one acknowledged us when we walked in until there were 4 groups behind us and then the woman shouted across the room to seat ourselves. We sit down and order pretzel stick appetizers with the beer cheese and she tells us that all 3 cooks quit and no one here knows how to make it. Panic ensued... Should we leave? Will this be terrible? We stayed and are glad we did. The salad was iceberg, okay. But the Buffalo chicken fettuccini Alfredo was classically spicy and hit the spot. My roast beef sandwich was okay, with homemade tasting macaroni salad with tuna in it. Great little spot for sandwiches after a long day on the water that wasn't crowded at all. Here, the short staffing came into play again though as I basically stopped eating because I needed more water and no one came for awhile and by then my stomach settled into full. read more

I enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the bar from my window seat. The food arrived quickly and was flavorful and very tasty. The shrimp was fresh and deliciously seasoned. Was hungry and ready to try this place out for lunch. Walked in (with our masks) and no one said if we should seat ourselves or if we were to wait to be seated. No signs anywhere to direct. Waited a bit until someone that worked there saw us as she was taking orders from another table. She waved us acting annoyed saying "your gonna have to sit outside cuz you can't stay in here." I would have totally understood if that would have been explained in a professional and kind manner but that wasn't the case. The food that we ordered was all kinda gross. The nachos were lacking cheese and dried out , the boneless chicken wings were over cooked and dried out and the pretzel sticks were over cooked and dry . Over all not a good food experience, but the server was really nice . read more

Wife and I stopped for lunch.we were able to park our RV close to the restrauant. Inside looks like a lodge with plenty of seating. Dining is on the left as you enter and bar on the right. If you like hot banana peppers, you will totally enjoy! They actually marinate the meat in the pepper juice and peppers for over a day! The burgers were good and so was everything we ordered. The service was with a smile and spot on. Sometimes they have live music. The music is in the main bar area, a small place in total, but makes for an interesting venue. This bar and grill was a really nice place to relax after going skydiving. They gave some of the best chicken tenders and when I asked for three sauces which includes Ranch, Barbecue sauce, and honey mustard, they provided all of them. My cousin got a tuna melt and really enjoyed it. As a group we did not think that their fries were special but that they could have potentially been made better. Overall, they gave a good quantity of food in all of their meals. Along with that, there was really nice music playing in the background and our waitress was really sweet. My wife, my grandson and I stopped today to eat. Long wait, yet hardly anyone in the place. The waitress/owner made a pit viper seem friendly. Acted like she didn't want to be there. The food we ordered sounded delicious, but I say it was low grade, highly priced dog food. Anyone can take frozen steakums and two slices of american white cheese and microwave it. The coleslaw tasted frozen, then thawed. All that for $13.99 and call it a Philly cheese steak. The guy they call a cook must not have a sense of smell nor taste. Horrible. The waitress slammed the meals down and never put them in front of us.We basically served ourselves. No tip. My tip is, she should close the place and do all a favor. The place SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!! The venue is very large, spacious, and GREAT FOR GROUPS, with a bar in a space that is somewhat separated from the rest of the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and accommodated our needs. The food was also delicious and very solid bar/restaurant food. We ordered a mixture of entrees at the table including scallops, salads, both crab [cake] appetizers, and osso buco (which is literally a tower of pork and is FANTASTIC on a bed a mashed potatoes with mushrooms). The Osso Buco was highlighted to us by the locals as their favorite dish, which is MASSIVE and a particular favorite during the winter months. If you live nearby and/or want to take your family out to dinner, this is a solid spot that I would come back to! read more

Nothing more annoys me I going to a place in the waiter or waitress asked like it's killing them to do their job. This particular place the waitress did not speak much and when She was taking my order she took the menu out of my hand as I was ordering I did immediately asked for it back and she seemed a bit annoyed. Visited on 8/11/2014 Stopped in for a quick bite on our way up to Lake George. It was shortly after 130pm and there was only one other table occupied. Seemed there may have been another table or two occupied on the patio. One waitress assigned to everyone, and service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a huge rush. Prices were reasonable, sandwiches were phenomenal, as were the sweet potato fries, but the regular fries were only slightly warm and very soggy. They were obviously re-heated and not cooked to order. A shame too, because the spicy/shaved steak sandwich that they accompanied was absolutely delicious. My wife's cheeseburger was equally delicious. Cell service (Verizon) was non-existent, and although the establishment provided WiFi, it was tricky to log in/obtain a signal. Casual, laid back atmosphere with a few TVs as well. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. All in all a decent visit. The only other item I would speak to were the couple of flies/bugs flying about, buzzing our food. I attributed this to being in 'the woods' and it was only slightly annoying. My dad ordered from here tonight, I called it in, we ordered a rack of ribs and an order of wings for pick up. They WAITED until my dad got there to tell him they were out of ribs and "tried to call me" but I NEVER received a call. Obviously once he got there he ordered something different and had to wait so he ordered a beer while he waited. You would think they would pay for his beer since he drove a half hour and his food wasn't available/ready..but did they? No. It's fine when a restaurant runs out of something but they waited until he got there to ask him what he would want instead and they didn't give him a discount on anything..AND even charged him full price for his new meal and for his beer while he was waiting for the food. I've worked in the food industry and I find this to be appalling. I'm really upset about this because I always liked this place, I won't be going back. read more

Waiting for take-out in a place where the bartender had the mask around her neck, lack of social distancing and no set procedures for pick-up showed it's all about money not safety.
