Came here on a Sunday a little after 10:30am for a fill and pedicure and was seated right away. I originally had oval nails and wanted them to be stiletto, so more pointy. Yen did my nails and I love them so much! The work seems very gentle but efficient, gets the work done without hurting you. When I told her I wanted gel polish, she came back with a basketful of colors! I had to ask if all the colors were gel, lol. A+ on the gel color selection. I moved to the spa chair to start my pedicure with Hannah while Yen applied the gel to my nails. Hannah offered the upgraded pedicures (they have multiple kinds), but I opted for the classic. The massage chairs have a small hook on the side to hang your purse, and they also have mini water bottles at each chair! Very pleased with that. I also got my eyebrows done (didn't catch the lady's name but she was older than the other women). I told her one of my brows was higher, so she cleaned them up and told me to let it grow out more on the bottom. She didn't take off as much off the top as I wanted her to, but they probably would've looked too thin if she did. They still looked full after, so I guess it's best she didnt take off that much. I love the shape they came out to. I used the Yelp coupon $10 for $20, so for eyebrows, a fill for stiletto long nails, and a classic pedicure, it came out to $57 minus the $20 so $37 total (plus the $10 I paid for the coupon). Not bad for an overall clean place and nice staff. Will definitely return. read more

I was around the area and was in desperate need for a pedicure, honestly one of the most relaxing experiences I have experienced at a nail salon ! I got the $32 pedicure with gel nail polish. Sam is so gentle and pays attention to detail, he took out my ingrown and I didn't feel a thing !! Amazing massage with hot stones! He was also very patient when I asked to see more than one color! Make sure to get your pedis with Sam (I went on a Wednesday around 2pm, I was seen immediately ;) ) Just wished they had drinks to offer good thing I brought my coffee lol read more

This place has horrible customer service. I tried to get a pedicure here yesterday and got pruned up feet instead. I was seated and promptly ignored for 15 minutes while I soaked my feet. A lady walks in later and the guy working there immediately seats her and they start working on her pedicure. Really?! The guy then tells me I have to wait another 10 minutes before someone can do my pedicure because clearly, I haven't waited long enough for them. I asked for a towel to dry off my feet and walked out of there. Come here if you want to waste time and be treated like a second-rate customer. You can soak your feet until it prunes up and watch other customers get service instead of you. read more

I don't recommend getting GelX here. They do not have pre shaped nails so they took extremely long filing down the square shape to stiletto, and even looked a bit crooked. Their process is also very strange l, they did not fully remove my old gel X. I've been to 5 other salons in the area and have been getting my nails done in Hollywood area for years prior. These GelX started popping off after 1.5 weeks, and my thumb nail tip broke off after 1 week. Very weak tip extensions. It was pretty crowded, however they did a pretty good pedi. I got white which is difficult, it came out clean and still fresh looking over 3 weeks. Prices are pretty reasonable, but I prefer a faster job and longer lasting extensions. In my opinion lowercpeice is NOT worth it. read more

I called in and requested a technician that was referred by a friend. I was told she was not working. It was my birthday so I still made an appointment. After arriving I waited 20 minutes before I was seated for service. While getting my nails done another customer comes in and says she has an appointment for the technician I'd requested. I wish I had a better first time experience. Still looking for a good fit in a nail salon. read more

My go to spot always! Ask for Yen especially if you're into designs. You can even bring in a nail design you want her to do for you and she'll get it done spot on! Customer service has been a great experience for me so far. It does get busy so call first if you can. I wouldn't go to another nail salon because I'm just that picky with who does my mani-pedi for me :) read more

I don't not recommend getting gel x done at this salon. The nail techs don't know how to do them properly and they break off. The tech took 2.5 hours to apply my nails. When I went back after my nail broke the same night i had it done the tech 10 to apply a new one. I don't see why it had to take 2.5 hours in first place. And they only have one size and have to cut down and shape. Also the tables are dirty they don't seem to at least wipe them down. read more

I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good place to go for a regular gel mani and pedi. I booked an appointment for 2 and didn't get seen until 3 . I couldn't leave Because they sat me right away and I did not want to be rude and get up and walk away. The lady who did my nails did a horrible job cutting my cuticles , filed my nails un-even, and the paint looked terrible. Also , every color I chose , they did not have anymore and I had to settle for a color I did not like. The customer service was also bad and everyone was very stand-off ish and spoke in a rude manor. Will not be coming back again !!! read more

It is so bad I'd give you a 0, but thats not possible so I give you.. a 1. It took about 45 minutes to start after sitting us down. They left the acetone for 45 minutes on my fingers and once they finally knew I was about to leave, they started to work on my nails 10 minutes later. They did not file or cut my daughters nails, and the receptionist had to do them because NO ONE was willing to do her nails. Their customer service is awful as I saw two people wait to get their nails done after booking the appointment for A HOUR BEFORE! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Pedicures start at $18. It's a clean salon, hubby and I made an appointment for Friday around 2, we got seated right away but my husband got a head start and his pedi was like 1/4 of the time of mine. The ladies are owner are nice here and they do a decent job. For the fast/basic pedi I would've expected it to be worth no more than $14/15. The color options are nice and the seating is comfortable. Today was my second visit to Tru Nails and I will never go back now. I was charged different on each visit having the same services done. In addition they didn't even bother to tell me until it was time to pay that it would $30 for gel polish on my nails. Not only was this happening to me but there was another woman getting her nails done and she was also u happy with the services she was receiving. They obviously do not care about customer service and just care about the money they are taking in. Beware you will never be charged the same amount twice their since they make up the prices as you go. read more

I'm a hairstylist, so I am very picky with where I go... for several reasons! I always have a hard time finding a place who does good acrylic. My hands are constantly in water & dealing with chemicals etc, so they normally come off or lift very quick! Tru nail spa did an amazing job & my acrylics are still going after 3 weeks! Yen has been doing my lashes for about 9 months now and I love her. She quick & efficient. Most places take forever & they fall off within a week. I can go 2-3 weeks & I'm in & out of there when she does my fills, which as a fellow business owner, it means so much to me. She is also flexible with my schedule. My go to nail spa! They did an amazing job for my holographic nails for Coachella and glow-in-the-dark nails for my trip to Hawaii! However, those sets were around $80-$90 each! Which I think is a little too expensive that's why this place lost a star. I also saw them do other intricate designs for each nail when I was there, and it was perfection. Now that kind of design should be priced around $80. Although, this nail salon was well worth it for me because it was easy for me to make a reservation. And on top of getting so many compliments, my nails also lasted at least 3 weeks--with no breaks or chips even after working and doing a bunch of hiking and cliff jumping with them! The only time I had to remove my nails was because my nail beds started growing very fast. It took me a while to find a nail salon that had so many design options like this place, so if you have unique ideas for your nails, I suggest checking this place out because they will make it happen! read more

I went in today 1/20/2024 for a full set of "dippers". My regular nail technician{Kelly) had a client and suggested Tracy. The entire experience was a DISAPAPPOINTMENT! I was telling Tracy and showing her things that were not okay with the nails. she kept saying it will be fine. It was NOT fine. That UNPROFESSIONAL chick threw a tantrum like a two-year-old and told Kelly to take the nails off because I wasted her(Tracy) time. I told Tracy if she had taken her time we would not have this problem. Then Kelly comes over with attitude an offer to correct the nails. Kelly reshapes a nail or two and says there fine. I told her to take them off. My former technician (kelly) comes back and said I owe $15.00 for the take off. I gave her 15 seconds of the "what the hell" face. Now there are three technicians that I will NOT use. The man that has been there for several years, Tracy and now Kelly. Kelly does good work, however, after todays interaction she has once less client. read more

Yes they are packed but they do really nice job. I live and work in Irvine, however, i still go there to get my nails done. I couldnt find anywhere else which will able to do my nails as they way Yen does or how i want it my nails done. They might not look nicely or their face might be grouchy coz they focus on their jobs. I got my simple dip gel with unique color which they let me mix the colors they have together to make my color that i want. Ive been getting my nails done in here from last 2 years and still going. And these are the stuff i got recently with Yen. Every 2 weeks. read more

Went to this Nail spa around lunch time. They were not busy so they took me in even without appointment. The girl that did my pedicure was rough. I was sweating and tearing up in pain. I told her nicely if she can be gentle because it hurts. She said "okay its fine". And she hurt me again and this time the side of my toes are red and my big toe was burning. She was about to pour alcohol on my toes too. I asked her if I can have someone else do my pedicure. She still went ahead and continue. That is when I realize she did not understand me. I said stop and that is when she called someone to translate. Jessie to the rescue she took over and did wonderful job.It was supposed to be a relaxing time for me but it was initially painful. I also didn't like how the lady that first helped me was looking and talking about me with her coworkers. They were probably talking shit. Very unprofessional. The 2 stars are for Jessie. It would have been a better review if I started with her. That girl really cut me. I just hope their equipment is clean and sanitized. read more

I just moved here from Wisconsin. Me and my best friend decided to get our nails done and boy am I glad I went here. We walked in without an appointment and we were seated right away. I got a full set of acrylics and my friend got a gel manicure. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I got exactly what I asked for. Both of ours together costed $74. That seems a lot for gel and acrylics, but for what we got, it think it was worth it. read more

I was just in the salon an hour ago and witnessed the owner be inappropriate to some girl she came in to use the atm which I assume is there for people to take out money regardless of the fact that she wasn't a customer the owner should expect to have people come in and use it due to its function. Ultimately she shouldn't lay a hand on anyone because she did touch the girl and she lost a potential client the girl looked young and pretty and was polite throughout the whole thing. I normally have a really good experience here, but the past few times I've had some issues with my gel manicures starting to peel relatively quickly. This time was by far the quickest. Five days after my gel manicure, it started peeling. I come here and pay more than other places because he staff is friendly, but a manicure isn't quite worth it if it's going to last less than a week. read more

*TIP: You get seated faster when you are getting a pedicure. I was waiting longer than someone but got seated before me because of it. Also they tend to overbook, so even when you make an appointment they still make you wait. NOT WORTH IT! *TIP #2: +$1 extra for using a credit/debit card so bring cash. YOooOo0o...I kid you not, I got here around 5:30p and was not seated until 6:45pm. They finished my nails around 7:30pm.... I understand that it was busy and I expected a wait but not for OVER an hour. I also met this lady that made an appointment for 5:30p and did not get seated until 6:30p...double yikes! (aka she was pissed lol) I must admit, they have really good nail technicians that do a great job (seeing by the pictures) but they really got to improve on their scheduling. It is also not the most efficient that this place has a group that only do pedicures and selected few that only do manicures. I've been to places that have nail technicians that can do both, so the waiting line turns out to be fair. I would like to give this place another chance, but if that amount of my time will be wasted just waiting...I'd rather go someplace else. Although, I was satisfied with my gel nails ($22+)...Nancy did a really great job - super friendly too. read more

Oooff where to start... well we walked in, everyone was super friendly, we asked if they had time for two pedis. I expected to wait since we walked in, but they had two chairs "ready" so we sat down. The chairs did not look clean. There was a pillow on my chair with nail dust all over. We asked it to be wiped down and all was good. Then about 20 min of sitting with cold water my friend got started on her pedicure. About the time she started her foot massage, I finally was helped. We got there at 12 we left about 2:30. Just for a basic pedi. I don't know why I didn't just walk out. The staff was nice and I know they were trying their best to get to us, but just warn a girl ya know? read more

Loving the location and the fact they had the hair she needed was a delight and excitement as she was preparing for a lovely Valentine's/Presidents Day weekend! She just knew everything was falling into alignment. She entered the store, easily found everything she she needed, and due to her research, knew exactly how much her items would cost; taxes and everything included. The clerk rang her up and as my dear friend was just about to go on about her lovely Friday evening, she stopped and look at her receipt in hopes to celebrate how spot on her math would be. But unfortunately, she was stopped in her tracks as she noticed an exuberant additional amount charged over her own calculations. $60 worth of odd charges. She had a "things that make you go hmmm..." moment. My dear friend inquired about the additional charges and was met with what seemed to be "I'mma make some bs up so this lady will get out of my face" energy. My dear friend did not like this and asked for the manager and the clerk responded the manager was busy. Friend asked for the manager's name and the clerk gave it and it was the name of the clerk. Friend asked "Is that you??" The clerk responded "Yes." Friends' mind was blown and her annoyance grew. Friend asked for an explanation of the charges and like most businesses that attempt to take advantage of customers, when it got down to the core of it, the manager couldn't explain the charges and offered a refund to her debit card which would take 7-10 business days. My friend wasn't buying it, demanded an immediate cash refund of the over charges and wasn't leaving until she received it. I don't blame her at all. If you knew my dear friend, you would agree she is a lovely person and definitely not the person to play, scam, lie, cheat, or steal from. It would not be wise. Eventually the "clerk/manager/I accidentally over charged you $60 for some hair" came to her senses and refunded Friend in cash and all was calm. In a time when everyones money has an assignment and very few of us can enjoy luxury let alone have spare time and change to beautify ourselves, the last thing we need in a place as sacred as the beauty supply store, is the mindset and ill-political strategies of "wanna-be" oligarchs. This really ain't the time to be messing with anyone, especially women when it's time to get our hair done. This business needs to do better and realize many of us ain't too busy or distracted to read our receipts. This is a warning to them to stop pressing your luck. We're entering a time when buyers are not afraid to report you for fraud. Thank you for coming to my TEDTALK.

They are ridiculously priced!! I got gel hardener for $45 which is a little pricy compared to other places but at the point that the job was done and I couldn't complain. I called 3 weeks later to get a fill and they wanted to charge me 45 again!!! So I told her that is what they charged to put it on and if I was going to pay that I wanted a new set instead of a fill, she said it was impossible for them to charge me that because they usually charge $60!! That's ridiculous and it's simply I'm appropriate for them to tell a client that they are wrong. This place is a joke! I don't mind them talking smack about their customers but the moment they change prices and tell you that you are wrong I am completely done going here. If I were you I would find a decent place with employees who like what they do, not just there for the money. read more

The staff was friendly and professional, making sure I was comfortable throughout my appointment. I got a manicure and pedicure, and both turned out beautifully. Worst nail job ive had in a longgggg time! I was easily there about two hrs for a fill including a cut down. The shaping was horrible, when cutting down he was so inconsistent with size, on one finger he cut wayyy too much and had to build a new tip. It was just bad not even polishing was done right.
