This place is in Bedford. That should already give you a full scope on what to expect. Think Mexican for soccer moms with their hedge fund husbands and private school brats. It's decor is farmhouse style yet makes the guests feel like they are in a gritty enough spot without thinking like they're slumming it with us common folk. But don't judge the restaurant by its clientele. It's good Mexican. Not traditional but not completely off the tracks. Request the hot sauce that they give on the side because it has lots of kick but plenty of flavor. Chips are made in house and that's always a worthy mention. Good drinks and decent beers on tap. Desserts are definitely the highlight and unique so save room. Service is direct and thorough. No fake hello's or slogans that chain places make the staff say. The place is usually busy so I don't need big fake smiles, I need my order correct and served within a reasonable time. They definitely get that right and I appreciate it. Tip the staff well. Overall the biggest issue is price. It's just not worth it for true lovers of authentic Mexican cuisine or a casual meal out. But again it's Bedford and they aren't trying to be authentic and affordable. Here we go! This was my first time ordering-take out. Truck has so much potential. Being the only restaurant in the area. The outside looks like a home that was turned into a business, it is simple with plenty of parking. The inside could be any kind of restaurant as the decor and feel of it could be a bar or a burger joint. My food was ready on time, and the nice friendly gentleman placed it on my back seat. Food: Guac was very good, the chips I had better. They were "hard"? and a bit too oily. My fish taco was good but the tortilla was not, the beef taco's were ok. Burgers should be served on a bun this Mexican twist of a wrap was not our thing. The burger it self was small and nothing special. Salads were great! But pricey at $17 for the Farm Salad. Over all it was ok not great. Considering we are locates between Truck and LaTaqueria, next time I will take a right out of my driveway instead of the left I took today. Truck's reputation proceeds itself. I was staying in Bedford for a few days and visiting a lot of the surrounding towns. Everywhere I went people told me to try it. I ended up going there three days in a row. The food is excellent. It's locally sourced and top quality. The servers were terrific. I went for lunch and Liz C. waited on me. She gave me a suggestion for a day trip which I took the next day. She was super friendly and a great server. I tried the stacked enchilada, fish and chicken tacos, Farm Guac and the margarita pie. The Farm Guac was unique in that it was served with rainbow and golden beets, carrots, cucumbers, radishes and cherry tomatoes. Everything was out of this world. You can't go wrong no matter what you pick. I have to eat gluten free and there were plenty of choices. And make a reservation! It was packed on a random Tuesday night in March. They do have valet parking to make it easier. I'll be back when I'm up in the area. read more

First, it is EXCEEDINGLY loud at all times. No matter what time you go, you will struggle to hear the others at your table. Bad acoustics, many children, and packed room make it impossible to hear. We went at 5:10 pm yesterday to try to avoid the noise, but we all stopped talking by 5:25 when we could not hear any more. Food is inconsistent--some good and some airport quality. But ALL food is airport prices: $27 for a burrito last night, as just one example. Small, greasy cheese quesadilla in three small triangles for $9; mushy chicken quesadilla for $19. Scoop of guac and chips--$15. "Cilantro-scallion rice" comes cold on your plate--$5 for a small scoop. I would much rather eat Chipotle food regardless of price. A portion of the tables (left side as you enter) are on wood flooring that vibrates-- a lot. 3 of 4 tables also vibrate when the floor vibrates. must be some kind of equipment below. There is a table for 4 within inches of the swinging kitchen doors. Restaurant provides a small very rough brown napkin along the lines of the brown paper that one sees in a public restroom with a pulldown crank. When asked for more napkins, 2 were provided for our table. Waitstaff is also very uneven--some pretty good and one has to wonder why others have kept their jobs. They stand around at the bar waiting for the bartender to make their drink orders and barely check in to see if things are right or if something else is needed. We also had to ask to have our appetizer plates cleared when the entrees were dropped on the table. The restaurant, like many others, seems to want to sell cocktails more than food. overall, this restaurant is not one I would never return to. Ever. But, it is the only Mexican restaurant within many miles so they fill the seats consistently and can charge what they want and care little about the in-house or takeout customer experience in my opinion. read more

Truck is always a fantastic place to go, and last night was no exception. The seasonal rhubarb margarita was delicious. Sweet but not too much, with a great flavor. 5pm is the kids hour (in a good way). All the families with young children come. The noise level is just right so you don't have to worry about whether your kid is having an off night. They're always super accommodating. And the food is yummy. Friday night at truck is our weekly family night out. Upon entering this elitist establishment, my family first noticed that there were no people of color at all. We were met with a snobbish hostess who upon looking us over was hellbent on driving us out of the restaurant. We asked for a table, and she said no. She did offer us a seat at the bar but said we would have to wait over an hour just to sit at the bar. The food smelled nice but we unfortunately were not served. First, We called on a Tuesday for Saturday night reservations and they were already booked so we couldn't get a table until 8pm, so definitely call way in advance! They have valet parking which I'm not sure if that's only for the busy weekends or all the time, but be sure to bring some singles for a tip! The outside looks like a random house but the inside decor is trendy, modern, and cool. To eat we had the tortilla soup, which was tasty but the portion was a tad small. They also had a Mexican street corn appetizer special which was AMAZING! I like how you can get it on or off the cob, which is something I've never been offered at a restaurant. For our entrees we got a burrito, the burger, and machos tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meals. For mine I thought the pork was the best (and I'm not a pork girl), the beef was second best and sadly the chicken came in last. I thought the chicken was very wet in a bad way and bland. this specific dish comes with rice and beans. The beans were just drained and rinsed with no seasoning on them. Next time I will get the tacos a la cart and order a side of rice. Another reason I did not give 5 stars was because the service was SO slow. Our server was half bartender so he wasn't able to be as attentive as he should have been. It was also disappointing to see multiple other servers as hostesses walk by us multiple times and see our table empty and not ask if they could get us the check at least. Another side note- the bathroom was decently clean but had toilet paper on the floor. I would also like to see way more cocktails added to the menu. Overall I'd probably come back. read more
