In my 78 years, i have never experienced a more obnoxious server than my server today, 11/20/18, at Tao Asian ... the server ridiculed my granddaughter because she didn't identify a dish correctly, she brought literally an ice cream scoop full of wasabi when we requested 2 small orders since we were only served one minutia serving for our 3 orders, and asking for chopsticks, with an over-the-top dramatic flourish, she waved her hands and pointed to them under one of the plates . We have been looking for a good Chinese food place in Central Florida since we moved here 4 years ago and this is by far the best we've found! Their General Tso is amazing and their lo mein is spot on. Super friendly staff...very attentive and polite. Will definitely come back and highly recommend! Our favorite place for sushi in the area. They also have great hot dishes. The portions are huge. Their happy hour special is very affordable. I've had almost every roll and love them all. The food is nothing to complain about because it's delicious. I keep coming back only because of the food, but end up regretting it later every single time due to the poor customer service. One time My brother ordered $40 worth of sushi and picked it up, but I forgot to order eel sauce with it. I don't mind paying for sauce at all, but they wouldn't let me pay for it with card unless I paid a $5 minimum, meanwhile I just ordered a bunch of sushi from them two minutes prior. I also have noticed that when I order a small amount , they barley come to check up on table. The last 4 times I've come here , not a single time did they come and ask if we wanted a refill for drinks or to order more. We literally have to hunt them down for attention everytime. My friends and I tried to give this place a chance, But the experience is too awful for us to want to come back . Such a shame because this spot is so close to me, but now I rather driver farther for a sushi spot with better atmosphere. read more

I especially like their spicy dishes - Hot and Sour Soup, General Tao's Chicken, Spicy Ginger Chicken, Mongolian Barbecue and so on. This is by far the best sushi in Winter garden, and possibly the best Sushi in Orlando. It comes as a surprise being such a small restaurant in a strip mall, and situated right in the middle of a residential area, it gets passed by and shouldn't! Both my husband and I are avid sushi eaters and have tasted nearly every orlando sushi offering. Tao Asian is the freshest there is and your mouth will water when you try try the COCO ROLL, we also love the thunder roll, and dynamite, and of course the classic Philadelphia has a nice twist. Prices are shockingly low, especially for the quality. We love the service too, very laid back and personal, we always have the same woman serve us who is hilarious and always remembers our 3 girls. Happy hour has the great deal and good amount of food that is fulfilling. Just the female waitress highlights the tip amount at the bottom of the check is wrong to do. We give you tips based on how you provide the service. She never once talked to us well and check on us after we got the food. She seemed New at the restaurant but she needs some learning to do. I asked for a straw and she goes to another table to help, ignored me. DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THE TIP AMOUNT, demanding on how much you want us to tip you. Work on better service please! read more

I ordered delivery service including some sushi, house fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. The sushi was pretty good, but the house fried rice had pork pieces that were nothing but gristle, and much of it was dry and tasteless. The sweet and sour chicken was sitting in grease, and the breading was soggy, and the chicken meat and taste were horrible! Chewy, nastiness. Sat down for my meal with my friend and was greeted by the waitresses sitting at a table eating their own food. Ordered my food and when my drink was empty it took them 10 minutes plus me raising my hand for them to notice we needed a refill. They then gave us the wrong drink which they corrected but not without attitude. As the bill was given I chose not to tip due to the poor service. Walked OUT to my car and was chased by the waitress asking me why I didn't tip her and proceed to stand by my car until I gave her something. The food at taio Asian is 5 stars, but the service is close to zero. Being a Windermere local I frequently visit Taio Asia during happy hour sushi. The rolls are only $3.50 but they barely put any meat in. Their chicken dishes are delicious but have a little too much sauce for my taste. I ordered the orange chicken and it was jus orange chicken sauce, minus the chicken. The wait staff is very rude. They never smile, they take forever, and act like the table they are helping is an inconvenience. Their waitress's attitude is absolutely shit, it is unbelievable to ask for tips. My tab is 15 dollars, I added additional 3dollar for my tips. Every single time I eat at this place I get sick. My wife loves the sushi and would beg me to go there, but for a while now, she also started getting sick after eating. This place has an excellent location (for me) and the food is good. I want to rate them higher but the customer service continues to be a big miss. They are very strict on their menu and do not allow flexibility when it comes to simple modifications other restaurants will gladly tweak for you. My latest order was for lunch, where I wanted lemon chicken. They told me they do not offer lemon chicken for lunch...only dinner (portion). I asked, since they apparently do make lemon chicken at lunch even though it's not on the menu, if I could get a lunch portion. The answer was "no". I went ahead and ordered the dinner lemon chicken to only find out they do not offer the accompanying sides like they do at dinner (no egg roll, soup, etc). I received only chicken and rice. They also continue to not be kid-friendly. I guess I'll need to join the rest of my neighbors and go elsewhere for Asian food. read more

Awful service. Food is okay but way too overpriced! If you order a sauce for your sushi like spicy mayo or eel sauce its a dollar extra per sauce. Terrible service I went one time and ordered some sushi rolls, had to wait for my water and sauces for way too long and the same waiter just sat and gave my table to another lady. When that lady brought the check the first waitress said remind them that there is a tip suggestion on the bottom. Even though I had already heard her, the second waitress repeated it to me. I ordered a sushi roll and asked for a small side of the spicy mayo. They said that would cost me $1.00 extra. That's like making you pay extra for soy sauce or ketchup. I tried Tao Asian for the first time today. And may I say it was GREAT. I got the choice of 3 rolls for11.55 during lunch. Not only is it 3 rolls but it also comes with ginger salad and a miso soup :) Spicy tuna was perfect. It had the perfect amount of spices. Not to mention the dynamite. It was so good. Has to be my favorite. The philadelphia was just as good. I def will be back for sushi happy hour. read more

The Beef Teriyaki was more like a sliced up football than food. It smelled burnt despite it's pink center. It looked more like a liver of some mystery animal than beef. The Yaki Udon was alright but I've had better. The Lo mein was okay. The dumplings worried me. They smelled like feet and had a weird crumble on the outside that was either cheese or dare I say, mold. Plus the ginger in them was overpowering. I doubt we'll be ordering from here again.
