True Dentistry was great years ago. I couldn't say enough good things about Dr Willardsen. It's ashame after being a patient for years my family and many friends are no longer using this practice. My mother saw Dr Waltrip for a procedure and was highly medicated and fell. She had to have multiple surgeries on her vertebrae and never recovered. All because she was overly medicated and sent home. Why she was released I'll never know. I lost my mom because of carelessness and never even at the least was given an apology. Been going here for almost 5 years maybe longer. I don't usually have any issues with the staff but my last appointment will be my last. Unprofessional new dental hygienist who was nervous during my entire procedure (fumbling around for instruments and not knowing where things were in the office). I don't come to the dentist for a test-run of a new employee and nervous talking. I come for efficiency. About halfway thru the 1.5 hr procedure, she spent 5+ minutes on my mouth without the doctor's help, nervously talking to herself about how she couldn't get something loose. I pulled it out and demanded to see the doctor. Of course I was angry and frustrated and told her off. I don't want someone poking around my mouth and talking to themselves about how they are having problems. After the incident and the procedure was finished, an office manager came in to try and place blame on me for becoming frustrated, claiming that I should have calmly asked for the doctor. Unbelievable. Of course in hindsight we should all be calm, but when a person is clearly having issues with their job it shouldn't be on me to get the doctor. Go get the doctor and get help instead of making the customer upset and frustrated. read more

I got a lot of knowledge from this doctor which was great but they charge way to much for consultations and do not inform people ahead of time that it is a possibility they could be referred out. This doctor charges 250.00 for consults with TMD/TMJ patients whereas most places have free consultations or insurance covers it. I feel this office is taking advantage of patients who have a medical condition and are suffering from chronic pain. I was told that the 250.00 consult fee would go towards my treatment at this facility and then the doctor referred me out to receive treatment elsewhere. The office only took off 50.00 dollars, stating that I was paying for the doctors time. While I appreciate his knowledge and time. I did not pay 250.00 for knowledge and time, I expected to receive a treatment in office. I am in a lot of pain and didn't even get as much as a pain reliever or any other treatment I could have used in office prior to the referral appointment. I really like this doctor but I don't agree with the way this matter was handled and I will avoid going back to this office at all cost. read more

Absolutely wonderful! My wife has gotten her crowns done here as well as al her cleanings. When she got her wisdom teeth done the staff called me ahead of time so I could come pick my wife up so she wouldn't have to wait I thought that was really thoughtful on their part. This was the absolute patient's worst nightmare. Dr. Hamblin is a butcher. I went to him because he was close and rated well. I had a dentist for 18 yrs. And had a balance due of about 600 due to some insurance issues so. I had a bad infected tooth and could not afford to pay my own dentist so I went to see my nearest dentist taking my insurance. Since I was in a financial bind and in a lot of pain my options felt very limited. Dr Hamblin suggested removing bad teeth (mine had some neglect again due to financial concerns) and putting in a partial. I was at his mercy. That was where this went wrong. He then proceeded to inform me that 7 teeth needed removed if we were going to do this. I was going on a family trip the next week and needed relief so I decided to allow him to do the first half (one side of my mouth) and finish when I returned. He removed 4 teeth. 2 of which I'm pretty sure needed it but definitely sure 2 didnt need it. He had difficulty removing them and was brutal in his efforts. The assistant saw tears running down my face and tried to comfort me, I knew at this point I was in a lot of trouble and in the wrong hands. He got angry trying to remove them because 1 gave him such difficulty. He was agitated and upset, I was losing my teeth and his concern about any of that was not there. Not only was I in pain beforehand I now had to go out of town with stitches in my mouth and for 2 days/nights cried due to inability to sleep and one of the most severe pains I have ever felt. After he butchered me he proceeded to tell me..."oh and I don't prescribe narcotics" I'm not gonna lie I was worried but had a parent addicted to opioids and am very careful about these so I understood his reasoning. I called the office back to schedule the 2nd half of the procedure when I got back but asked if Dr. Willardson could finish because to be honest I didnt want to go through the same pain as before. I told them that Dr. Hamblin was a rough. They never returned my calls. #1 he judged me and thought I was there for drugs (which is my belief because of his I'll treatment of me and disregard for his professional license) #2 he wanted the money from my insurance to create partial. Period. It's sad that someone that is in s position to do the right thing chose not to and I have suffered due to his hands. I got extremely lucky and found a great dentist who only had to remove 1 of the supposed 3 that still needed removed. Though I'm pretty convinced and will have my insurance look into fraud as I know 2 teeth were healthy and didn't need removed. My worst nightmare and I am only 50 yrs old. He is horrible I will make it my mission to let him know this was not okay. All these posts talking about Gaylene blah blah blah...the office girls are not the ones screwing around with people's mouths and insurance. They are all fake and it's about the money from cosmetics they get. However there are many options for that if you have the money. Dont waste it on these guys. Karma. read more

I recently moved from Southern California where I had a fantastic dentist. Before then, my uncle was my dentist since I was a child therefore, I am extremely picky when it comes to new dental/medical services, etc.. Going into the appointment extremely apprehensive, I was greeted by every employee (not just the ones helping me) in a very friendly way with a smile. All equipment was state of the art and very functional due to the large room sizes. The entire facility was very modern and quite clean as well. Yeah, everything was visually great, but did that back up their services? Definately! My hygienest was very thorough and attentive. All of this was, of course, until I found Dr. Willardsen and True Dentistry. This practice will have you second guessing everything you thought you knew. If you're like me, one of those facts was that dentistry hurts! Not so! Dr. Willardsen and his staff have never hurt me, not even once. I thought pain was part of all dental treatment. I have been mistaken. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. I have had oral surgery done in this office, all with no anesthesia. I wasn't scared at all. I was very nervous going into it, but during the procedure I started to relax and afterwards, I was not only relieved- but pain free for the first time in years. I love this place. The staff is beyond friendly and really goes the extra mile for their patients. I was nervous going to the dentist since it has been years but the staff and doctor really did well to put my mind at ease and lessen my anxiety. I've always believed things happen for a reason. Not always a good reason, mind you, but a reason none the less. This may shock you, but I don't love the dentist. For this reason, my standard is very high. In this case, however I'm not sure that even someone with low standards would have approved. I don't have a dentist here in Las Vegas yet. I did some research and ended up choosing True Dentistry based on location and reviews. I arrived at the dentist on time and waited for about 15 minutes. When I was called in, I sat down in a very clean white room where the dental assistant looked at my tooth. I've admittedly neglected one of my incisors and it needs a filling urgently. She took a digital Xray and I waited for the Dentist. When the Dentist arrived, I was greeted warmly and he viewed both my tooth and Xray. He explained that it could probably be fixed with a filling, but there's a chance it might need a root canal. Feeling confident he could get away with just a filling, he left the room and I waited for the Dental Assistant to provide me with my "treatment plan". As she plucked away at the computer for another 10 minutes I was provided with an estimate of $390 for my filling. The price seemed high, but knowing myself and my lack of will power to visit the dentist, I signed the document and told them to proceed. The Dental Assistant asked if I would like to pay "now" so I didn't have to wait later in a way that kinda inferred "we'd really like you to pay now since we don't know you". I gave her my credit card and she left the room. She returned to explain that the receptionist had informed her that I did not have insurance and that there would be an additional $120 charge for the exam and Xray. My blood began to boil, I mean after all, Would I have been given an estimate for $390 and asked to pay in advance if I had insurance??? Seriously??? Does anyone believe that line of crap? On top of that, they want me to pay $120 extra for the 5 minutes the dentist spent poking at my tooth and the single digital Xray they took??? Reluctantly, my cooler head took over and I agreed to the $471 ( I forgot to mention the generous 10% discount they decided to give me, applied to the original $390 only.) $471 for a single incisor filling. Now we come to the "everything happens for a reason part. My credit card was declined. It was this moment that I knew it was time to go. As it turns out, it wasn't a very good day for me at all as when I returned home and checked I learned that my credit card had been hit with fraud. Honestly I'm not sure whether to be thankful for that, or not. I'm not out $471, but I do need to find another dentist before my tooth rots away. read more
