Dr. Willardsen is a very good dentist. My problem was billing. They always sent me a bill for a full price even though they have already gotten paid by my insurance. My insurance rep did not even understand why they were doing it. When I called their office, the assistant always said: " It's ok, you will just have a credit with us". This way they always got paid double until my next visit. Clearly I was lending them money interest free. Great. Then, they lost an insurance payment. I had a clear proof from my insurance company that the payment was sent to the True dentistry and it cleared. I asked them multiple times to call my insurance but the dental office refused to do it. My insurance rep, again, could not understand why they were doing it. I had to send them copies of all payments and an explanation letter to prove that they did get paid. I have not heard from them after that, no acknowledgement, nothing. That was the last straw. Also, the receptionist was talking to me as if I was a small child, which became increasingly irritating. The staff at True Dentistry are great and Dr. Willardsen is the best dentist I have ever had. I really like them because the office doesn't have a dentist office feel. It seems more like the lobby of a nice hotel. There is no medical smell and the rooms don't have equipment laying all over the place. I really like how the staff wears nice casual clothing rather than lab coats and scrubs. It makes it seem like a more relaxed environment and it helps with the anxiety of having dental work done. They also have a wonderful orthodontist that they work with named Dr. Thresher. I recommend them over any dental office that I have ever been to. read more

I went to True Dentistry with a painful, broken tooth in the back. I visited with another dentist that recommended a root canal or an extraction. I was anxious to save the tooth and believed the dentist when he said I would not need an extraction and that he could save the tooth with a "special" fill technique. $1300 and 4 months later, the tooth was in terrible pain again. I had an x-ray done at another dental office and they confirmed that the tooth is dead and abscessed. I contacted true dentistry about a refund policy on a $1300 tooth treatment that failed just a few months later. They offered a free crown with a new root canal. No way would I trust them with a root canal or to treat my teeth again. Sad sad service. No empathy for this patient. read more

5 Stars hands down! if I could give more, I would! Im so impressed with this place, I dont think ill ever want to leave. If i ever move out of Las Vegas, i might have to travel back here just to go to this office. I AM THE WORST DENTAL PATIENT, I have a hard time getting numb, my mouth doesn't open very wide, I have the worst gag reflex , and Im extremely anxious person. YEP, it's official worst patient ever (haha), but the Dr. Was amazing. I had an dental onlay done 5 years ago by a different dentist and it broke twice. first time it broke and had to fix it, I couldn't get numbed and suffered the pain. I guess it's true third times a charm because I recently had to have it fixed and Dr. WIllardson was able to get me numbed (hallelujah), get through the procedure quickly BUT also was able to fix my tooth and was extremely conservative about it. This doctor is a perfectionist and is not out to get your money. If he can do something that is more conservative he will. He seems to genuinely care about his patients and truly does the best work he can. Not only is the Doctor amazing, but the Staff! The staff is incredibly kind, happy and welcoming. I haven't met one person that didn't try to go above and beyond. I have to point out Karen though, she's been dealing with me for a few months now and is amazing. So sweet, so kind I get excited to see her when I go there. Plus she dresses fabulous, a true delight. Love this place for your regular dental needs, cosmetic work, check ups whatever. A MUST. They are true professionals and are unflappable in every aspect of what they do! Very accommodating, such a comfortable office, and everyone is so friendly! Warning to everybody: Dr. Willardsen does not have time for you! He will leave before you have a chance to ask a question or to address an issue that he created. My filling ended up with root canal, and veneer ended up with clenching over my opposite jaw teeth, and the worse is the contact between teeth, sharp edges were left. Contact between teeth are his weakest part. Food will get in there from now on and my gum will create pockets and get inflamed. Warning: "There is nothing I can do," is what he will say to you after returning to him over and over in hopes to fix the problem. You will only get more problems. The Lab makes beautiful crowns but they do not fit well and I developed TMJ and inflammation. I had to have the crown redone somewhere else at my own expense because the insurance aready paid him and he would not refund any money I had paid. Just avoid the place! There are dentists in Vegas who actually care and that is not Dr. Willardsen or his staff. Dr. Humbling will not even answer your phone call if anything happens to your implant. Also no proper equipment was used to place implants. Dr. Humbling had to substitute medications because they did not have the correct ones on site. You will end up loosing your health and money. His office will never reimburse you for his incompetent work. Two years of my life and trust and such disappointment! They messed up my mouth! read more

Expensive,maybe but to me getting my smile redone was worth every penny that I spent at True Dentistry and Dr. Joe Willardsen. I am sorry that you, KC from New York had a different experience but you saw the wrong dentist as there are two different practices within the same location, did you know that? So please do not say negative things about True Dentistry because it is a totally different dental practice than Willardsen Smiles. It is my understanding that Willardsen Smiles is no longer in practice and that there is only one practice now at that location, Dr. Joe and True Dentistry, not the other guy. They have outstanding hygienists who really care about fighting gum disease that is now all over the news causing other medical problems if not treated and they do a fantastic job ensuring me that my gum disease is in remission. As I stated early on, keeping my only set of real teeth is important to me and worth every penny I spend on them with an outstanding dental office like True Dentistry.
