Jambalaya
Mark C.

True Food is a very spacious place. They've got kitchen tables so you can sometimes see the workers actively preparing your food. I tried out their jambalaya, iced lavender matcha latte, and cheesy mashed potatoes. I didn't like the shrimp in the jambalaya but everything else in it was relatively good. The lavendar matcha latte contained less liquid that I would like. The cheesy mashed potatoes was good. The service was satisfactory. All this cost $40 but really it was around $27 because I bought discounted InKind gift cards from Costco.

Nice ambience and decent menu but as to the experience a total disappointment and will never come back. I don't have too many poor reviews. Margherita pizza could have come out of a frozen section and was warm if not cool like it had been sitting for 10' or so in the back. Steaks was bland and tough and also like it had been sitting post cook 10' We must have waited 20' for our tiramisu. Waiter had to be flagged down for order, and where our meal, drinks and dessert was coming . Can't wonder why he'd want to face us if it takes 2 and half hours for a two course meal. We gave up on desert Avoid this place!

I forgot how much I love this place. I was starving and hoping for some plant based grub. I managed to order direct from TrueFood for delivery, of course it came from a 3rd party driver BUT I didn't have to sign up there to order. SCORE! Plant Based burger - delicious, even luke warm because I am further and it's chilly today. Carrot cake - also delicious, saved half, helped me realize how hooked on the sug I am these days. Very excited for some mashed potatoes (that was my side for my burger) later and their Korean Noods. Oh man, it's been too long. They packaged it all so well that even after arrival it looks beautiful (carrot cake picture before devouring occurred)

Ancient Grains Bowl, Chicken
Bryan N.

Had lunch at True Food Kitchen Biltmore and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Ancient Grains Bowl with chicken and it was spot on. The balance of flavors felt clean and intentional without being boring. The chicken was tender with a nice char, the veggies were fresh, and everything worked together instead of competing on the plate. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and thoughtful prep. The space is bright, comfortable, and easy to have a conversation in, whether you're meeting friends or sitting down for a quick business lunch. Service was friendly, food came out fast, and the overall vibe made it easy to slow down and actually enjoy the meal. If you're in the Biltmore area and want something that tastes great but still leaves you feeling good after, this is a solid choice. I'll definitely be back.

I got to eat here with two baby boys, a 5 year old boy, and two grown men. My shaken iced coffee was tasty, but far too tiny for the price. Our server was very responsive and on top of her stuff. The outdoor seating was perfect for us with all the shade. Our food was satisfactory

Our server Sam was so nice and fun! I came with my family on a Sunday morning around 11am, we were seated right away since they weren't too busy. We ordered the hummus which was sooo delicious, I think I hogged it from the rest of my family lol. Price-wise, the menu wasn't TOO crazy. What I really love about this place is that it really helps for someone who is trying to be more health conscious / trying to track protein & calories (all visible on the menu). As someone who's been trying to be more mindful of diet and health, this place was a relief. One critique would be that the first dish in these series of photos (I can't remember the name, sorry!) was too salty. Other than that, the food was delish and the vibe was chill and clean!

Jambalaya pasta
Elsie M.

A few friends and I chose this spot for an early dinner before attending a concert recently, based on convenience of location and that they were one of the options in the area that were listed on the inKind app. On this visit, instead of sticking to my usual order, I decided to try something different, an item off the seasonal menu. I ordered the apple lemonade and the jambalaya pasta. The apple lemonade was a bit more sour than I had anticipated but it wasn't bad. The jambalaya pasta had a nice kick of spice to it, the pasta was not over or under cooked and there was surprisingly a good amount of protein in this dish. Overall, service was fast and efficient. Like other locations, this one is similarly decorated in furnishing and color scheme. Since we were headed to a concert afterwards, we had decided to make reservations for an earlier time, but they were already quite busy when we arrived, so I highly recommend making reservations if you're thinking about dining here.

Fresh, healthy menu and always made exactly how you like it!! They are so cognizant of food allergies and preference. Best waitstaff that are sooo friendly and patient. Lots of options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian as well if any dietary restrictions. Perfect menu choices, and they are always updating with seasonal offerings. Dine in with indoor and outdoor seating or takeout.

Tried True Food Kitchen and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and super healthy. Biggest highlight was our server, Stormy. She is super friendly, attentive, and really on top of everything. Definitely coming back

What we got.

The absolute worst takeout dinner we have ever had. Here is a list of what they said we would get - grilled chicken, bok choy, cabbage, mixed greens, avocado, watermelon radish, snap peas, cilantro, pickled ginger, toasted quinoa almond sesame blend. What we actually got - mixed greens, with cold, overcooked chicken. This dish was a complete disappointment, in no way did it resemble what they charged us for. A COMPLETE RIPOFF!!!

Chicken Parmesan

We were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed the food here. Everything tasted so good 10/10!! It was super busy and for good reason! The open kitchen was the best part of this restaurant. I love that you can see your food being prepared.

Iced oat shakerato
Hallie S.

I went to True Food Kitchen with my friend over the weekend to grab lunch and we had a great time. Our server was really nice and helped us choose what to order off the menu. She even let me in on a hack since I wanted to order the spaghetti squash and add chicken - order the chicken parm, which would be the same thing, to save some $. We had to wait a while for waters as they were backed up on washing the cups. My iced shakerato was really good. I liked that it wasn't too sweet but wasn't bitter at all, despite the dark color. I ended up liking my entree a lot. I have always been a huge fan of spaghetti squash and this one was really good. I was full after, but not weighed down, so you could tell that this place is healthy and uses good ingredients. Truthfully, I think it's a little on the pricey side for what you get but I loved the decor and overall had a great time. I would go back to try the appetizers and cocktails.

Great location for a lunch.

Is it too hot to sit on the patio in the summer months or are they able to keep it cool?

We actually have lunch there quite often- we arrive before Noon, and if you sit in the middle under the fans, misters on, it's just fine. We've been there in ~110 degree temps. By the team we leave tho, it's getting hot, so if you're going to go…

My husband is hypertensive and is on a very low sodium diet. I'm looking for somewhere new to take him for his bday. Does TFK have low sodium options? Thanks!

When I looked at their nutritional information, everything was relatively high in sodium. I had taken my mom there and she needs lower sodium food. Even though we asked them to go light on the sodium in what we ordered, things seemed pretty salty.…

Is True Food open for Thanksgiving?

Negative. Christmas and Thanksgiving are the two days they are closed in the year.

If you don't drink, you can also make the cocktails to mocktails too. This place is also advertised as dog-friendly online, which I assume was meant for the outdoor patio seating (the patio looked cute, it had misters and was covered). Overall, great place!! She recommended a fantastic vegan spot called Tacos Veganos; and it blow us away. Yes, everything is VEGAN, including the meats! We ordered three different meat tacos: pork, chicken, and beef. I opted for the taco de papo, which was an incredibly delicious combination of potatoes, cabbage, and a sauce made from cashews. It was deep-fried, which added a unique texture to the dish. The chicken taco was my favorite. It was fantastic once I dipped it into the red magic compote. The beef taco had an aftertaste, but that's just a personal preference. Ana, who's a native of Mexico, said the same thing about the tacos. I was skeptical at first, but she was right. These tacos are so good that sometimes the substitute is better than the real thing. It is counter service so you kind of need to know what you are getting and everything looks so yummy it was super hard to decide. I got the AZ burrito with birria, which is made with jackfruit. It's meant to be like pulled pork. It was huge and very messy. They tortilla was very rubbery but the filling was good and I think there were French fries in there? Maybe that is what makes it an AZ burrito? Overall the flavor was good but it needed something else like beans or guac. It just tasted very one note. Also I got the horchata. It was delicious. My mom got the surf and turf taco. Again the tortilla was tough to eat so she got a fork and a plate and tore into it. This one had the "asada" soy steak and then breaded and fried pieces of cauliflower. The fake meat was not that good. It was too salty and so was the rice. The cauliflower although tasty was so big it was hard to eat. Overall it was good but not as amazing as I had wanted it to be. I likely won't go out of my way to come back.
