Decided to try a new matcha place, but left wishing I stuck to the one cafe that has never let me down (Love you Airoma). The double matcha latte was so bitter I couldn't get past a few sips of it. The true matcha latte had a sweeter cream on top that we tried to mix in to make that drink taste better, but then it just ended up tasting like bitter milk. It was truly disgusting. I've seen so many reviews saying the lattes are too sweet, so I'm guessing maybe they forgot to put in a sweetener or something? I love the "true" taste of matcha, trust me, but this drink was almost sour. I thought about bringing it back up to them to ask for a remake even because that matcha foam on top tasted like sour milk, but I didn't want to bother them. They seemed annoyed that there were customers even in there. I think they should always make sure the customer knows the sweetness level (or bitterness level in this case..) like how Phin Smith (another amazing cafe) does. Came in on a Friday night and they were busy! It's a pretty small space so not much sitting area. We ordered and waited. It was taking a while and found our order accidentally got skipped. Drinks are perfect! Wow. The matcha is matcha'ing! when they say TRUE matcha, they aren't kidding. If you are purist matcha lover, you will get that here. Its not watered down nor does it taste artificial. Both the true matcha latte and hojicha latte had strong flavors and the sweetness was just the right blend. Not overly sweet. And no bitterness. Finally made it to True Matcha! It's a new spot next to the huge Tous Les Jours that's also connected to Bobae Noodle and Puradak. They were unfortunately sold out of the drink I wanted to get that day, so I got my second choice and it was so delish! The pistachio crème was so good - perfectly sweet and just the right thickness. The Ube latte was a little bit sweet, but still good. Milk soft serve was spot on. The workers were efficient and quick. Seems like they know why they're doing - always a plus. Space is small, but there is seating if you wanted to have your drink there. Will definitely be back to try their chestnut crème matcha next time! read more

What an adorable spot! Located next to the Tous Les Jours in China Town. Upon walking up, the menu was placed outside which was helping in deciding I wanted to go in or not! Upon entering the vibes were immaculate. Very bright and green decor which leaned into the Matcha experience. The young lady at the front was very helpful in me deciding on exactly what I wanted. I went with the True Matcha which she stated was their most popular. It was a regular Matcha with Vanilla Cream. I was given the option for an alternative milk along with determining the level of sweetness I wanted. I received my drink fairly quickly . Upon tasting it, I did request to add strawberry syrup. I thought I was a "True Matcha" drinker at other places but this establishment truly provided an authentic Matcha taste. For anyone who doesn't really like Matcha and wants all of the artificial additives, this is not the place for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my Matcha Latte and will be back to try something different. There was also an extensive menu with and ice cream like Matcha and different pastries that I will try next time as well. Great Matcha, great service, great decor. I had this spot bookmarked before my most recent return to Las Vegas. I am a creature of habit, but I also like to try new places just for comparison. I showed up on Tuesday, 11/25, around 5 PM, which probably wouldn't make sense on a work night; but since I was on vacation, it didn't matter what time it was ;) The young girl who took my order was very friendly! I ordered the coconut matcha crème, which had zero added sugar, my type of drink! The drink was perfectly balanced with real coconut water and matcha, my two favorite drinks in one! I can't speak for the other stuff, but I got exactly what I came for and they delivered! I enjoyed it so much that I came back and ordered it again the very next day! I even called to see if they were open on Thanksgiving Day, before heading out to the airport. I was so tempted to grab one, but didn't want to miss my flight! We were enticed to try this place by the photos of a strawberry matcha parfait outside. The place shares a dining area with the chicken place. It felt like a mini food court in there. The service was okay. The cashier didn't seem happy to be there. They also didn't have any of the ingredients and toppings for the parfait that was advertised outside. I had high expectations coming in, and while True Matcha didn't quite become a new favorite, it's still a solid stop if you're in the area. I tried the strawberry matcha and chestnut matcha. Both were decent and well-balanced, and importantly, not watery--which I appreciate. That said, the matcha flavor wasn't as strong as advertised. The menu photos show a much deeper, richer green than what I received, and the taste reflected that difference. Still enjoyable, just more subtle than expected. Service staff was helpful. Ordering is separate from Puradak even though the seating area is shared, so don't let the line confuse you. The cream puffs were a pleasant surprise. Both vanilla and ube were good and worth adding on if you're already there. Overall, it's a cute spot to hang out and a decent option in Chinatown. I might stop by again if I'm nearby, but with more spacious cafés next door and stronger matcha options (with negligible price difference) just a few minutes away, it's not a place I'd go out of my way for. I've been on a matcha kick so I decided to try this place because of the "Chestnut Matcha Latte". My kiddos wanted the vanilla soft serve so I got two orders of this. I tried hard to search for the chestnut taste but it was too light. The vanilla soft serve was definitely different than any other vanilla. My kids liked it. First of all, we like this store, and that's why we've come to here 3 times in the past week. However, last night's experience all went down hill. We came in around 7:30pm last night, the store was not packed, only two groups of customers in the store. We ordered two singles of mango shaved ice and brownie shaved ice for dine-in. It was a tall, large girl who took my order, and she went back behind the workstation to make them. After about 10 mins, she called us and handed the mango shaved ice only without the condensed milk on the side. The chunk mango was much smaller bits size this time, which we felt it was a bad sign of poor food quality because it's not the same as we got it in the first time we tried it and certainly not what it looked like on the menu picture. After patiently waiting for another 15 mins, I went and asked another boy cashier where's the brownie shaved ice? That boy cashier was so perplexed what I asked, and he thought I wanted to add another brownie shaved ice. I told him to ask the girl who took my order initially and found out she totally forgot about it. After another 5 mins or so, she gave the brownie shaved ice but again without the condensed milk. There was another couple already sat in the store before us, and they too got up to them asking where's their order assuming they would have gotten theirs first before our order. It's another bad sign of poor service quality. I suspect they were new hires and were still in training, but there was no store manager on site which I don't really think this is how to run a store without any supervision. Anyways, if they don't make any immediate improvements, I really don't think the store will survive by the end of this year... read more

We found this place randomly after pigging out at Shabuya. We were soo full but when we saw the sign with all the different cool flavors with matcha, we lost self control! We tried the Ube, Strawberry and Pistachio. They were all amazing. The matcha is high quality and cream foam is rich and smooth! The strawberry one is lighter and refreshing. The ube one had strong ube flavor for uber lovers, on the sweeter side. The pistachio one has the matcha at the bottom with rich pistachio cream foam! Been wanting to try True Matcha out since it opened and finally found it last night. It's hidden in the corner next to the Tous Les Jours in the main Chinatown. Went late at night and grabbed two matchas (don't judge me) plus some cream puffs to try. I got the strawberry cream matcha and the ube matcha. Both were delicious but I definitely prefer the the ube matcha better, although it is on the sweeter side. As for the cream puff, they are $6.50 for 3 but you have to get three of the same flavor. They have matcha, ube, vanilla, and chocolate. I got to try the matcha and the ube. The matcha tastes like their match a drink and the ube is just good ube flavor. I'd definitely return now that I know where this place is! Service was quick and the professional. The little place also serves chicken in the same area, as well as connecting to another restaurant so instead of being greeted with matcha scent, I was blast with KFC instead (Korean Fried Chicken).
