Yelp removed my review TODAY that I posted back in February for supposed objectionable terms. They love doing that. I would give this place no stars if I could. DO NOT GO HERE. You will be highly disappointed with this place. All the reviews are similar. These master stylists do not seem to have the expertise and mastered skills that they claim! After growing my hair back and getting it healthy for (4) years, I now have to start all over thanks to a stylist here named Patric Bradley. I initially went to Patric back on December 5, 2020. I had done some hair modeling for his brand back in Atlanta via another hairstylist trained by him, so I had trust in him to do my hair. He is supposedly a hair expert after all. I got a relaxer, color, and all the works. I had been natural for (4) years prior to this. My hair turned out nice but I discovered the color was blotchy throughout my head. It was poorly blended and looked like I had done the color myself. I was disappointed and informed Patric of this. I was scheduled to go to out of town shortly after so I couldn't immediately go to get it fixed . I unfortunately had to go out of town that way but Patric assured he would make it right and fix it. I made another appointment and when I returned he fixed the color on December 11, 2020. My hair was in excellent condition with the exception of some shorter pieces growing out in the front that he shaped. I returned to Patric yesterday to get a touch up and more color on my hair. At no point, did Patric mention my hair may not be healthy enough for the color. He simply asked me what I put on my hair and noted that the front was regrowing. I had washed and deep conditioned my hair (3) times prior to yesterday. My hair was in good condition and the minimal trouble areas were growing back. Not once during the appointment did he mention he ruined my hair. He just kept mentioning I should take hair vitamins and that I should consider "starting over". I've been taking hair vitamins for years, so I couldn't understand why he kept mentioning that. I couldn't fathom why he kept saying I should consider starting over when I had literally just spent (4) years growing out my hair. It finally made since when I got home to throughly look at hair. After returning home within an hour of leaving the salon, to inspect my hair, I noticed my edges and nape were super crunchy, dry, and also very hard to the touch. I could also barely grab it because it was so short. It literally looked like I had a buzz cut 'fro in the front of my hair and around my hairline. I was furious. There was even broken pieces on the middle. My hair was not like that prior to yesterday morning! Patric had fried my hair in the front, back, and even spots in the middle and had sent me out the door saying absolutely nothing about his error. Most likely because had he showed me, that wouldn't have sat well with his other clients who were waiting and he would have been out behind schedule. $400 spent for him to fry my freaking hair with no remorse! I texted him immediately and asked him what he had put on my hair and showed him pictures. He called me on my cell and didn't even care to take responsibility for what he had done which made me even more furious. He kept blaming it on "edge control" and what I put on my hair and then had the audacity to try to convince me to keep coming to him to get my hair done every two weeks. I don't even use edge control everyday so I was baffled that he kept trying to blame it on that. He claimed he would give me discounted services and that he would "fix it by summer" which enraged me. No way would I ever go back to him again. (I want to notate that he didn't even wash my hair first before starting the color services. He immediately sat me down and began to lighten my hair when I arrived) I washed my hair after speaking with him on the phone and I had even more hair coming out in the shower. I conditioned and tried to comb it out and it was just more hair coming out in the detangling brush. My edges are still hard and dry today, so he definitely fried my hair. I had to go ahead and cut it all off because I knew there was no way that I would be able to salvage it. Unfortunately I now have to start regrowing my hair out all over again! I have to wear a wig because the front is now so short and damaged that it's not long or strong enough to grip to braid. After several text messages he finally agreed to refund me for the service and gave a measly apology. He also sent me an extra $150 for a wig since I will now have to wear one. However, a refund doesn't bring back my hair and ease the setback of having to once again regrow my hair all over again and the inconvenience this has caused me. Please steer clear of this place if you want to keep your hair! read more

I really enjoyed my experience at True Perfection salon. The space itself is huge and there is plenty of room for clients and stylists. I came on Martin Luther King Day, so the salon was completely empty. This was perfect for me because I was in and out very quickly. Omg! Where do I start? From the moment we walked in, this place was an experience! The Salon offers contactless check-ins and encourages social distance. The atmosphere was fresh and friendly. My appointment with Larry was at 9 am. I booked a quick weave bob. However, after he shampooed, deep conditioned, and applied a protein treatment, I was convinced to wear my hair and get a silk press. Before this, I hadn't worn my hair in 4 years. Honest Review: Only rating a 4 because of the wait time. This place does beautiful quality work, however, please make sure you have 3-4 hours to spare (Depending on your stylist, obviously my stylist is in demand) because that's how long you'll be in there. At my old salon, I was usually in and out within 2-2.5 hours, but again the quality of work did not compare. This is a trendy place. They can style your hair ANY WAY your like. What I've learned: Beware of scheduling appointments near holidays. I was there for SIX HOURS when my appointment was around Christmas. That almost made me find another salon, but then I thought about it. ?????? Why do that, when my stylist is the . I just make sure I have time to be there....4 to 6 hours!!!!!!! If you do have something planned, it's best to let your stylist know ahead of time. That way you will not be angry when your in there past 3 hours. Honestly, the long wait and time you're there is really why I'm not a regular customer. I go a few times a year. BOTTOM LINE: I continue to come because I haven't found anyone that does work even close to the stylist here. Plus my stylist Brandy, has blessed, magical hands!!! For the first time, I'm able to get my hair styled and not even adjust it, once I get home. I have been to Kay (the owner and she also calls herself a master teacher) twice now to get my hair colored. While she is expensive I've always liked my colors. I drive an hour to get my hair done. This last visit I asked for a purple and magenta color with no style. This color combination costs my $200. I have short natural hair so I could only imagine if your hair is long. After one wash my hair started to turn this ugly goldish brown on the sides. I live far so I didn't worry about it....well after another wash it got even worse!! The top started to turn this weird ugly orangeish red. After a month (2 washes) my hair was now these ugly weird colors and not anything that I paid for. So I contact Kay and she says I can come in to take a look! She explains that the colors are just rinses and that I would need to come in every 2 weeks to 4 weeks to keep the color?!?! She is the expert who claims to teach other people how to color and yet she NEVER explained this to me!! She said that if I wanted her to fix it to a permanent color it would be an additional $160?! So in 2 months time in order to get my hair fixed she expected me to pay almost $400?!? Additionally I always tip her well!! This is for COLOR ONLY!! A RINSE?!? SO I AM PAYING FOR A RINSE?!?! This is so crazy! I guess customer service doesn't really matter when you think you are the best! My hair looks awful in a little over a month. $200 down the drain...I just want to cry right now!! When I tell you my shampoo experience was amazing!! That's how you KNOW you're about to get some good service, lol! My scalp felt so clean and light weight. It's a huge salon. They had a barber in there and a lot of women that do hair and some rooms in the back looks like. I don't know what goes on back there but I'll ask next time cuz if they do eyebrows or something, it can be my one stop shop. Nice LiL vibe with the music. Seems real clean. Everybody wears mask cuz they have a sign as soon as u walk in that says so and you had to sign a waiver too. Not Happy. I came to this salon for my starter locs with Damian. I came to my appointment a little early, but an employee ushered me to the shampoo bowl to get me started. I noticed that this person was literally raking his hands through my wet hair and breaking my hair. Once I was done with that, I sat in Damian's chair to get started. As soon as he sat down, he raked his hands through my hair saying that I had horrible breakage. He went on to say that I need to reschedule in 4 weeks for another consultation. After that, he went on to do something else. I was so pissed because I know how to take care of my hair and I've never had breakage before. Especially to the point where hand fulls of hair was in my hands. That's the condition that my hair was in by the time his assistant got done with it. Damian basically left me with a wet, tangled afro and told me good day! NO apology, NO style. He gave me a tube of the "conditioner" and told me to use it for the next 3 weeks and come back. I was also upset because I had an appointment downtown the next morning at 8am. I basically went home and had to detangle my hair and twist it up before I went to bed. The next day, I tried to look at the ingredients of the conditioner he wanted me to use. It had horrible chemicals, like cones and mineral oil in it. After I saw the ingredients I realized why my hair was so dried out and breaking. I try to use products with more natural ingredients!! I threw that crap in the trash. Needless to say, I will not go back. I'll go to a better salon this weekend thank goodness!!! I'm just thankful that he didn't charge me for this horrible experience. read more

This place made my life a living hell! I went in for cut color and style 205.00 the very same day my hair was flat I didn't do anything but went to a dinner party but that's not the half of it. I looked in the mirror and omg my hair was cut up in 4 different ways the stylist burned the middle of my hair out I don't know if it was the color or curling iron that burned my hair out. I called the stylist immediately Kay Simpson she responded that morning then that night she had a very bad attitude about my hair I sent pictures explaining my depression and also asked did she feel my hair looked ok she said no I didn't say that I said well what are we going to do about it she didn't have any suggestions. If you love your hair if you took time to grow it out please stay away from the shop I paid 205.00 for nothing I've contacted the BBB and my lawyer to get my money back and hopefully to get this salon shut down read more

Just when i thought I found a stylist that fit my personality and hair needs, she referred me to Eboney. Eboney is professional, she listens to exactly what you want, she gives her expertise advice that makes it easy to maintain your natural hair at home, and she doesn't over book. The times I've seen her, she's available and attentive to me only.. she doesn't sit you under the dryer for hours to finish other people. Shes with me from start to finish.. she's super sweet, down to earth, great energy, and good at what she do.
