What an experience! I had never done a float spa before and was curious yet nervous. I worried I would be claustrophobic. It was amazing. I feel so relaxed! Deanna, the manager, was so informative and helpful. The added touches of the self care items after the float so you can be ready for the day without having to bring all your items from home was nice. My husband bought us a Valentine's Day deal for us to try this out. We couldn't schedule online and had to call several times to book. We left 2 messages and never got a call back but finally spoke to someone on our 3rd call. The float itself was fine. The temperature was nice, and it is relaxing. But you have to wear earplugs and I found that very uncomfortable, and kept getting air bubbles popping out. I finally took them out and that was better, but the salt gets in your ears. Ultimately this wasn't for me. I tend to have some sensory issues, and the feeling of the salt drying on my exposed skin by the end of the float was driving me insane. I couldn't wait to take a shower to clean it off. Also as I got out, the water ran over my face from my wet hair and I got some of the salt water in my mouth. That was unpleasant. It you don't have the sensory issues, I am sure this is a lovely experience and I am glad I tried it, but I will stick to my massages for future pampering days. read more

5 stars! I've been here lots of times with the previous ownership & again just last week with the current owners. First off, I really appreciate that although I had a handful of unused floats from the past ownership, and although the current owner didn't have to, I was able to redeem 2 of them. So that was really generous of her. What stands out from the past is, the current owner goes above & beyond to be hospitable. As many times as I've been here, it's the 1st time someone has ever gave me a full tour & explained everything the way she did . After showing me how the new music system works, she showed me the relaxation room that has the oxygen, essential oils, hot tea (yum!) & coloring books. Then, she showed me the after care room which has a blow dryer, qtips, cotton balls, hair ties, lotion, hair care sprays & the bathroom. I really appreciated she allowed me to have room 4, which is significantly bigger than the other rooms. Then, she explained the items there for me, like the extra towels, instructions for 1st time floaters, towels, jelly for cuts, the earplugs (which you should put in before going in the pod), the eyespray which I used a few times in the past or else saltwater can burn your eyeballs, so don't do that! You've been forewarned. There's a sign for the shower which states you are supposed to do that both before & after getting in & out of the pod. There's shampoo, conditioner, & body wash provided. It was a great float but it was an exceptional experience because of the new owner. Even at the end, we conversed about balancing kids, owning a business & I also rescheduled before I left. I highly suggest to give it a try especially if you're a former customer, a new one or if you're just thinking about trying it. I really like the current vibe, fresh modern decor and the friendliness of the owner & I'd definitely go back. Neither of us had ever tried a float session, so we walked in excited but unsure what to expect. The staff immediately put us at ease: they were warm, patient, and walked us through the entire process so clearly. The spa itself is spotless, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. From the moment you step in, you feel like you're already unwinding. Once inside the float pod, everything else seemed to fade away. I'm out 4 gift certificates because I guess the business went bankrupt and new owners who are operating at the same location, under the same business name and same logo have decided that they are not going to do right by the customers that had built loyalty to the brand under the previous ownership. I went in to buy more gift certificates as gifts. When I asked about how many credits I had, I was told I still had 4 but could not use them. I asked to get the owners contact information and she responded with a smug smile, "I am the owner." I will never go back. Dawn J. Morrison gives small business a bad name. She franchised this location, got Lucky and hired a dedicated office manager to keep things afloat which made it enjoyable. But instead of Dawn managing the business she decided to screw over her customers, live beyond her means and not care about the hard working people she was taking advantage of. This location is closed and per corporate (since Dawn didn't have the human decency to email me herself) this location and Vacaville have been closed due to Bankruptcy. If you ever see this woman's name on anything business related stay far away and do business elsewhere. The float experience was great but definitely undid by this experience so I'll be avoiding any franchise businesses from here on out. Good job Dawn on being a terrible human being. read more

I paid for hundreds of dollars' worth of float services but had to move out of the area due to stressful personal circumstances. When I returned, I discovered that my paid floats had become inaccessible. Naturally, I was frustrated and sought either a refund or the opportunity to use the services I had already paid for. Instead of a professional and solutions-focused approach, I was met with emotionally reactive responses, defensiveness, and a complete lack of accountability. As a massage therapist and someone deeply involved in trauma integration work, conflict resolution, and restorative justice, I understand that people make mistakes in communication - specially in moments of frustration. We're all human, and I have the capacity to hold space for that. But what truly matters is whether people have the self-awareness and accountability to recognize when they've misstepped. If a business can't even acknowledge its mistakes - especially when speaking to a paying customer with a valid frustration - and instead resorts to denial, deflection, and outright disrespect, it says everything about their lack of emotional intelligence and communication skills. True REST markets itself as a sanctuary for people struggling with stress, PTSD, and anxiety, yet their response to my concerns completely contradicted that mission. Rather than acknowledging my valid frustrations, they dismissed my concerns and reframed them as slander and abusive behavior. The staff, including the owner, seemed more focused on defending themselves than actually receiving feedback, something I was very disappointed to see in a business that claims to serve vulnerable populations. This response highlights not just a lack of professionalism but a fundamental absence of self-awareness, ethical responsibility, and proper training. Beyond the poor handling of customer concerns, what's equally alarming is the lack of a basic notification system to inform customers about the status of their prepaid services before they expire or become inaccessible. Any business that serves a vulnerable population, especially one providing services for stress and trauma relief, has a responsibility to implement a clear and proactive communication system. Whether through email, text, or a simple phone call, it is a matter of ethical business practice to notify customers who have invested significant amounts of money before their sessions are no longer available. I've known float therapy for years, but had never tried it until my boyfriend's mom gifted us one session. We showed up with no expectations, and the staff was very friendly and informative. We were quickly briefed with a video, and went straight to business! We each got a float room, equipped with a egg-like floating pod and a rounded Mosaic shower. First you cleansed yourself, then covered any wounds with Petroleum jelly (came in a small packet). This step is important because, trust me, it can hurt like hell! After those steps, you are ready to enter the pod and float! I was a bit wary at first, but quickly got comfortable. Personally I felt quite relaxed in there. The water was warm and the isolation provided much needed self-time. After the one-hour soak, I felt quite refreshed. Also I noticed a few eczema spot dried out nicely. To be honest I'm quite impressed with it and am starting to see the benefits of the float. I know it's not for everyone, as my boyfriend said he felt bored and restless. But if you want some time to reflect and relax, and can benefit from the healing/restoring properties of the epsom salt, I'd recommend it! read more

I don't know about the medical benefits, but my husband and I had a good time. They push the agenda of repeat sessions of course and tout that the health benefits kick in after several sessions, but even though this place is great I might not come back for awhile. The facility is great. A "Sensory deprivation tank" sounds scary, but a Float Pod at the spa sounds less intimidating. The secret to the floating is the outrageous amount of Epsom salts in the water. The reception, bathrooms, and float rooms all felt high quality. After a brief intro to the process you rinse off in their really nice shower next to the pod and put in the earplugs and get in the pod. It's really relaxing but an hour is a long time so you have to be mindful of your meditation. After the float they have warm tea in the lounge area and you can relax until you are ready to leave, or purchase a round at their oxygen bar when it opens. read more

I have always wanted to try REST floating. The opportunity when a friend reached out and told me about TrueREST Float Spa, not knowing that I am going through a really rough time and carrying alot of stressors. *WARNING: LONG REVIEW ALERT* I was greeted by a friendly face and a dope soul- Aleeza! The spa is clean and crisp and the perfect place for an amazing reset. Aleeza's incredible vibe and passion for spa and its guests radiates and blooms with positivity. Before you float there is some paperwork to over, you enter the spa where the lounge has a selection of teas, water, an oxygen bar, zen garden, handmade boho inspired artwork books and mindful activities. Through a door an down a hallway you go to watch an 8 minute video that goes over the concept of floating. The video covers the poses, goes over the controls you will have inside the spa itself. You are then taken to your suite. In the room is the "cocoon" if you will which is filled with a foot or less of water mixed with 1,000 lbs of epsom salt. Or as Aleeza put it- water saltier than my ex boyfriend. The room also has a shower supplied with body soap and shampoo. The wall has a placard that goes over instructions: shower to remove your body of any products, you can place vaseline in any cuts you may have to free from sting of salt to the wound queue that ex boyfriend ha... After your shower you will enter the cocoon. 3 buttons on the right inside allow you to control music, the lights which you can change or turn off, and a call button in case you need to contact the outside world. You crawl in the tub which is set to body temperature for comfort and close the lid. From here you trust the process the duration of your float. You can elect to have music throughout. FIRST FLOAT: 8/10/2022 I held no expectations. I climbed in and closed the lid. The music started and you can feel the pulse through the water- I rotated through the lights to find that I really felt more relaxed when I turned them off. The music played for the first 10 minutes and then turned off- a 5 minute warning at the end lets you know the float is coming to an end. After the music turned off I began to listen to my body and what it was telling me. My mind was drawn to the areas of my body in which I was carrying my stress and have been feeling stiff. I began to think about how hard I am on myself and my body and how far I have come in my physical health journey. It was truly eye opening. Upon exiting the pod I showered again to remove the salts and returned to the lounge area where I did the oxygen bar and chatted with Aleeza. **If you are Veteran or healthcare worker you get to float for free 1x every 6 months on the 11th of every month, so as a healthcare worker... I went back for float # 2 the next day (see below) POST FIRST FLOAT I slept amazing after the float. The GI issues that I was challenged with were finally starting to show signs of improvement and I felt less tense. My mood was better- I was less annoyed. SECOND FLOAT 8/11/2022 I chose "the Journey" for my music preferences. This option allows for 40 minutes of music- which played drums and hops allowing you to feel vibrations in the water. I did this with the lights off. The music turns off after 40 minute and the last 5 allow for a musical warning. While in this time I really focused on the music the vibrations of the music. I realized that Albert Einstein was right "EVERYTHING is a vibration." It was this time that I focused on letting go of the attachments I was carrying to other peoples stress playing a role in my life. As I did this it felt like I was floating in space and Elton John's "Rocketman" played in my head. POST SECOND FLOAT: I woke up the next day feeling A-MAZ-ING! My sleep was like a dream come true. I felt euphoric. Things that normally bothered me at work seemed to not bother me- other peoples problems were not mine to attach too and I was highly aware of that. It was like I had done psychedelics- but in fact had not. It is now 8/15 and I still feel the benefits. I recommend the float to anyone and everyone. I know without a shadow of doubt that I will be implementing a float at least month just for the reset and attunement of my own grounding. My boyfriend gifted us a couples session at True Rest Float Spa yesterday and boy was I in for a surprise. As soon as you walk in the door you can sense the relaxation and smell the essential oils. I won't lie I was very anxious to do this, as it was far out of my comfort zone. I didn't take pictures as it was a very cell phone free environment and I didn't want to take away from my experience. It was a very private and intimate experience, but with yourself. This is not necessarily a couples experience, more so something to share together and talk about. My husband requested a float for his birthday this year. He experienced his first float on 8/20/2022 and thoroughly enjoyed his experience. I have never seen him so relaxed and satisfied with his experience. We've done massages in the past, but the float was a much more rewarding experience for him. TL;DR Great first float. Horrible membership service. My first float was really great, so I bought in & signed up for their highest tier platinum membership. Leanne was quite friendly & helpful. However, as I'm moving to another country, I decided to cancel my membership. For prospective members, this business offers to deliver any unused sessions even after cancellation, however sadly it appears they stop caring for clients who have already cancelled. IMO, this is worse than spotting strangers' hairs in your assigned floating pod. Notably, when you request an appointment time at True REST, there's a confirmation text & email in the following format -- True REST Float Spa: Hi John, you're scheduled for an appt on (Day, Date & Time) Please reply 'yes' to confirm your appt. -- after canceling my membership, I requested an appointment, but never received this confirmation text or email. Granted, the language in their confirmation text suggests that their appointments are subject to clients' confirmations upon replying 'yes.' Therefore, I'm shocked and appalled that the manager in this case decided to cancel (or charge) one float session out of my remaining balance. They really don't care about you once you've cancelled membership. My advice? Don't even sign up. It's a greedy, small business. Shame on yourselves, management. You suck. read more

A friend wanted to know how my first time at True Rest was in Roseville on Pleasant a Grove, so ai wrote this on my Facebook...more of a summary, but encouraging others to give it a try! Review after 1st visit: I bought my first visit to True Rest based on a referral from a coworker. She said, "Since you love massages and water, you should try this!" I had never heard of it, so I looked on Groupon and there was an offer. I bought it back in February before Covid hit and was unable to use it. I called last week just out of curiosity of it's pending open of it's doors (didn't want to lose the offer by the deadline) and coincidently, they were going to be opening this week, so I booked the appt. (calling is better than reserving online). The website was helpful so I knew what I would need to bring with me (bathing suits optional) and it was important to be there 30 min early to have a tour and watch a worthwhile informational video. Then, my "pod" gal took me to my private room with a shower and gave me detailed instructions. Very organized and easy to be left alone once she was done. My ears were protected with earplugs they provided and as I entered the water, the lid open or closed was my decision. I chose closed since I'm not claustrophobic. David, you would want it open. Music played and within minutes I was asleep. 1,000 lbs of epsom salt allowed my body to float in the 10 inches of water. 60 min of pure relaxation with music if you choose. Tell them you want the music on or off since it's usually off after the first 10 min. I need the soothing . After 60 minutes, you shower and dress. There is lotion, a hairdryer, and other items to enjoy. Once ready, the soothing lounge is available. Usually there is a flavored/scented oxygen bar, but not available right now. As any business (this is a chain), there are packages you can buy. She gave me my first visit for free and my Groupon was offered to be used towards a package. I purchased 3 more visits for $99, but was only $54 today with my Groupon. I recommend you give it a try if it sounds interesting. Good for muscles, injuries, relaxation, and more.
