All day $1 Fanny Bay oysters on Wed and Sat! They were plumb, juicy, and briny! Really unmatched in terms of freshness and value! The platter also came with three distinctly tasted condiments. I did have to wait about half an hour for my dozen during prime dinner hours but completely understandable since there were other $1 oyster orders ahead of me. Tables were first come first serve, and I was able to secure a table even during the busy hours. The place was noisy so you would have to speak up for a conversation. Drove an hour to get here from the South Bay after seeing a reel on Instagram advertising their $1 oysters happy hour on Wednesdays. I believe it begins at 3 and ends around 9 o'clock? Come early, because it truly becomes a madhouse! I actually came here twice. The first time, we came at 8 PM and they were sold out. The cashier told us they were sold out around 6 PM. We came back again two weeks later at 5 PM, and there were luckily minimal people in line so we got our oysters. We ordered 3 dozen. They said the wait would be around 10 minutes, but we ended up waiting 35 minutes. If it was that long of a wait without many people in the store, I wonder how hectic it would be when people started flooding in. When we left at 6:30, the line was out the door. So again, COME EARLY! The oysters were medium-small and very fresh. Some of the oysters had chunks of ice on it from the ice layer. It came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, and a soy sauce with green onions. You can grab Tapatio and Tabasco on the counter. Personally, I didn't like the soy sauce because it amplified the fishy taste of the oysters. I enjoyed the cocktail sauce with a hint of horseradish, as well as the mignonette with the crunchy onions. Lemon squeezes are a must although I wish they gave us more. I ate a dozen while my friend ate two dozen. I was very satisfied with this happy hour. The cleanliness of the store was good although sometimes trays of oysters would be left out for a long time. The customer service was super friendly. It seems like a decent place for poke as well beyond their oysters. The taro chips looked really good; I almost got one. Truffle Poke Bar in Burlingame is honestly such a good deal if you like oysters like me. They have $1 oysters all day every Wednesday and Saturday, no limit (insane deal). The place does get really crowded at 6pm, but it wasn't too bad we only waited like 5 minutes to get a table. The oysters took longer though, they told us maybe 35 mins wait but it ended up being around for only 20 mins, so not too bad honestly. The oysters were great quality for the price, I ate so many lol no regrets. While waiting for the oysters, you can still order poke and beer with no wait time, which is actually really good too. They have a small patio in the back with a few tables, but it was cold and I don't think I saw any heaters, so it wasn't really an option for me. Got lucky finding a two person table right after ordering two dozen oysters and a couple pints of beer. I mainly come to this place for the oysters, and I've tried this location twice now, and I just have an issue with the service here. First time I came, there was an issue with my food, and it took around 50+ minutes to then get 2 dozen oysters on a Wednesday with not that many people in the building, and people after us got their oysters before us. I then asked and had this white dude who I think is the manager help check on it and I guess there was an issue with my order and I think they lost my ticket. I came a second time to give it another chance and the white dude who I think might be the manager was just plain rude. I came inside, and then we were both in each other's way, but then I let him go first, but then I didn't get any time of recognition or any type of thanks. Then I went to line up, and I wasn't sure where to go because I didn't want poke, so I wasn't right at the glass to order, and I just wanted to order oysters in the front, so I was in the middle of that but then still with the line + the white dude manager at the checkout. He kept on glancing at me, and so I know he sees me, and plus I also let him go in front of me when I came inside. The person in front of me was able to check out first, and so I went up to the register and ordered, and he rudely says to me "you need to get in the line," and I was off put because I was here and in line and waited, but then I just didn't want poke so I wasn't right at the glass, but I went back into the line and waited. In this time, other people kept cutting to the front and asking for stuff, and he was helping them and getting stuff for them, and the person in front of me was building their bowl and taking a bit because they was ordering multiple bowls. He really could have just taken my order and they would have still been ordering their bowls. I then got to the glass of the poke area, and the lady who is building the bowls told me if I wanted just oysters to go in front of the register. And I'm just at a WTF moment. Then I ordered with the white dude again, and my transaction took less than a minute, and there was no customer service and no hospitality from him. Overall, the oysters are good (a little grainy but good for $1), but I just keep having service issues here and it's always with this dude and am just going to go to the South San Francisco location because at least they give good customer service. read more

I like how they offer the bases to have rice or just vegetables. The kale mango is delicious and the kale quinoa. This is a hearty and healthful way to incorporate seafood and vegetables. The Happy Hour oysters here were amazing! This is one of the best places to get oysters that I have ever been to. I was surprised a poke place offered $1.50 oysters during Happy Hour. There is a paid parking lot across the street, but you can also pay to park on the street. The shop has cute decor and there's also a spot in the back to eat outside. What blew me away were all the sauces that came with the oysters. There were three different kinds, and they all tasted amazing with the fresh oysters. It also includes a lot of lemons. Poke was a hot food trend several years ago, as BYO Poké bowl places kept popping up. Although, poke is always so much better in Hawaii, many spots here have lasted here, and thank goodness because I like raw fish a lot more than cooked fish! Truffle Poke has been around awhile with their first location in San Mateo opening up years ago..but under the name, Truffle Butter Poke Bar. *Cue the Nikki Minaj song..*. I guess as time went on, they thought about the suggestive name and rebranded as Truffle Poké Bar. Burlingame is the newest location of Truffle Poke Bar, opening up in the old Boba Guys space (RIP..sad face). We usually go to Tuna Kahuna, but decided on trying Truffle due to all the options they offer. We placed our order online easily and it was quoted to be ready in 10 minutes. We each got the four protein option for ($18). I picked white rice and kale mango salad for my bases, for protein: ahi tuna, salmon, crab salad, and seared spam. The rest : scallions, original sauce, truffle aioli, crispy onion, carrot, seaweed salad. These bowls are HUGE! They pack the bases and toppings to the brim. I had an ok amount of fish, and a lot of crab salad, and one piece of seared salmon. My hubs did all fish for the 4 proteins but it didn't really look like too much more than my fish amount. From other reviews, it seems like they are pretty precise with the amount of fish where they weigh it. Taste wise the fish seemed fresh and with the sauce was solid. I liked the crab salad, not heavily mayoed at all, even though the fake crab isn't supposed to be great for you in general. Speaking of unhealthy, I like how they offer a seared spam slice, it would be a 10/10 if it was served hot, but I know logistically it doesn't make sense for them to do so. And, I loved the crunchy well dressed kale mango salad, definitely stands out over the typical mixed greens that are offered. And the truffle aioli, sets Truffle Poke apart. It's a hint of truffle goodness added to the bowl, but it's light so it doesn't overpower the fish or the poke sauce. 3.5 stars, but rounding up for offering some unique things like the truffle aioli, crab salad, spam, and kale mango salad. We will trade off our poke time between Truffle Poke and Tuna Kahuna based on mood and hunger. read more

Taro chips w truffle aioli was a good snack. Overall I thought the bowl was a reasonable price and I'd come back if I was in the area. I thought Onigilly in San Mateo from recent visits gave way more fish and the quality was better. Parking is easy and the space and bathroom are clean (only one single occupant bathroom though).
