Our friends absolutely raved about this place, so we planned a get-together to visit. The drive was a bit long, but honestly, it was totally worth it. Be sure to make reservations in advance. With the hot weather in SoCal, we were lucky to enjoy this spot on a beautiful day. My partner and I wanted to try everything, and every dish was absolutely delicious. We started with a wedge salad, which the four of us shared. Then, we ordered the Champion Tomato and Cheese, Truly White, Mama Mia, and Margherita pizzas. There was so much food for the four of us, but it was totally worth it!
We had such a great experience at Truly Pizza! Luckily, we made a reservation ahead of time and were seated pretty quickly, which was especially appreciated given how hot it was during the California heat wave. Our waitress was amazing from start to finish. She was so kind, attentive, and gave us great recommendations on what to order. She definitely knew the menu well and her recommendations did not disappoint! We had the round Margherita pizza, which was light, crispy, and delicious. We also tried the vodka square pizza, which was thick, fluffy, and absolutely my favorite! We added chicken sausage and pepperoni as toppings, which was such a nice touch and made the pizzas even better. Overall, everything was delicious, and the service really made the experience. We would definitely come back next time we're in Laguna Beach!
I had a great experience with their Magherita pizza. The server mentioned it had won a major award. The cheese was really good. Super high quality. The best part is the crust. It is really something special. The pizza did take a little time to come out. It took about 20 minutes, which is fine. The ambiance is lively and intimate. I saw the salads on other tables and they look marvelous. I saw a wedge salad with bacon and tomato that look phenomenal. The service was really good. Our server truly loved their pizzas and you could tell. I am excited to come back and get the soft serve with olive oil.
The cutest place you can think of to grab pizza- this is the place!! Best to make reservations. Incase you can't- try going during the weekdays. Parking can be pretty tough as you're in the heart of Laguna Beach. We got the supreme pizza and a Cesar salad. Both were amazing!!! I also tried their soft serve for the first time. Also delicious! I love their pizza- well flavored, crispy crust and just perfect.
What a lovely, Amalfi coast coded, restaurant! And it's all outdoor! It's difficult getting reservations so plan ahead and sign up for cancellations with them!! I very much wanted to give this place 5 stars but service was so slow. And they couldn't put the hot honey on the sweet and spicy pizza because of bees and I just thought that was so silly. But the pizza itself is SOOOOO delicious. Best crust I've ever had. Their suprema pizza also was stuffed with meats and veggies and was perfectly not soggy. Hungry just thinking about it! Their soft serve was also so unique. The Truly Way had this lemon zest that brought the olive oil and salt together and was mouth watering. Can't wait to be back!
I would say this place is worth the hype! Definitely one of the best pizza places in OC or LA. We went right on time, just before it got busy for lunch (or we just got lucky). This place was picture worthy in all aspects. Ambiance was amazing! Service was really good as the server was very knowledgeable. Ordered: Spagnola salad as a starter and it was really good and refreshing. The pears matched really well with the salad 9.5/10 Garlic pull apart bread was a miss. I felt like it was missing something on the flavor side. Needed alittle bit of marinara to make it better 6/10 Smoky vodka was a must try!! We added pepperoni on it which made it 20x better even though it was already really good. The hint of pesto was fireee 12/10. Suprema was good. I liked how the giardiniera tasted on the pizza and matched really well w the whole pizza. (I asked for a side of Calabrian chili oil which made both pizza's give a spicy taste to it which I liked) Superman was not as good as the smoky vodka though. 8.5/10 Over all experience was 9/10 would definitely come back and try the round pizza. The umami mushroom pizza looks great and will be getting that next time we come back!
Incredibly excited that we got to check out Truly Pizza in Laguna Beach! Ranked as being one of the best pizzerias in the world and in the Top 10 in the US; my curiosity only grew as we waited for about a month after getting our reservation! The restaurant itself was very elegant but not to the point where it's stuffy; definitely casual enough to bring friends and service was prompt and friendly. We tried out their famous Chichio pie which was a Super thin crust, tomato pizza with garlic oil, sea salt, oregano and grated sharp provolone. The hype is REAL with this pie; balanced with the flavors with an amazing sauce and with the perfect texture of crispy, yet with enough chew to make you appreciate the dough. Also tried out their Potato Bianca which was their white sauce pie that came with potato, garlic confit, chives, black pepper, goat cheese, and what seems like roasted rosemary along with their Suprema which was their square pie with cup pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms and garlic confit. Worth the wait? HELL YEAH. Lives up to the hype? Up to you but for me, I appreciated both the traditional and innovative takes on the pies so I understand the accolades, excellent experience!
Truly the best pizza!!! We came to laguna for lunch while visiting our friends in Orange County. The cottage with lemon trees caught my eye. This location blends an Amalfi meets California vibe in a lush cottage style setting. There are two dining patios wrapped in trees, shrubs, and greenery. I'm still dreaming about their pizza. Truly pizza is unique due to its multi-day fermented artisanal dough. We ordered their La Foresta, Umami mushroom, skinny margarita and one of their square pizza specials. Every pizza, every bite was to die for, absolutely phenomenal. Their house salad was beautiful, light and refreshing, I loved the vinaigrette dressing. Their French fries are perfectly skinny and crispy tossed in sea salt, served with ketchup and their amazing house made herby ranch. If they sold their ranch, I would have bought some! The french fries were a huge hit, we ended up ordering a second order. I loved my Aperol Spirtz, it was rosemary-steeped aperol, prosecco, soda water. I TRULY wish for more locations to open. I would love to see you come to Phoenix, Arizona! Until then, see you next time in CA! I can't wait to dine here again.
Had an amazing experience at Truly Pizza in Laguna Beach! The pizza was incredible--the crust was light, airy, and perfectly crisp, with great flavor in every bite. I also loved the coastal atmosphere and indoor-outdoor setup. It's the kind of place where the food and the setting both make the experience feel special. Definitely one of my favorite pizza spots in Laguna Beach, and I'd absolutely come back again!
Took my daughter and her friend here for pizza, my daughter been wanting to come here for 2 months and we didn't have a chance. Today we came in and ordered potatoes Bianca and skinny margherita, lemonade and Shirley temple drink. It was very good drink and pizza was delicious. Service was ok. She was very helpful, nice and attentive. Everywhere you go there gonna have a minimum of 18% tips, you can put whatever tips depends on you. Also I would like to say if you wanted jalapeños theres a charge, which the waitress should mention theres a charge for it. If you like anything extra pls make sure because they probably charge at the end without letting you know theres gonna be a charge for it. They should let the customers know and aware of the charge. Ambience, sitting is outside only.
Let me give you some words of wisdom. If you plan on making a reservation, they are pretty packed so you need to really book ahead of time if you want to get a guaranteed time. For me, I just decided to try my luck and they so happened to have a waiting list when I came, so I got lucky. Someone else I spoke to said she had tried one time to come as a walk in and they did not even have a waiting list available so just a heads up! Anywho, as someone who went to the Truly Pizza in Dana Point when it opened, I was curious to see what this new Laguna location brings. It's seated right next to Urth Caffe. Honestly, I think it is super cute. I love the bougainvilleas mixed with the lemons in this location. It's really pretty and has a European feel. In the back, there are some string lights and I think it would be so pretty at night! Good variety of pizza. I got the Spinach and Artichoke which is more of a deep dish pizza but it's not super heavy. It's tasty too! We got the sea salt and olive oil soft serve which I loved the olive oil paired with the soft serve. Beware, the soft serve is on the sweeter side, so I found myself digging for the olive oil to balance that out, which it does well. It's tasty though. My server Joey was really sweet. She was super attentive and awesome. Big props to her. She's great. Side note-- two individual bathrooms, which if both occupied can be a long wait so just keep that in mind too. I was in line and I just needed to wash my hands. They're really nice and well maintained though, so great job team. Next time I come back, I'll try the evening so I can see the lights and the change in ambiance.
Truly absolutely lived up to the hype. I honestly wasn't even that hungry, but we ordered two pizzas anyway and ended up bringing leftovers home. Somehow they were just as good the next day, which says a lot. This is easily some of the best pizza I've had. It was our first time, and I didn't realize the Laguna Beach location had only been open for about a month. They were completely booked, weren't taking any more walk ins, and already had a cancellation list. We got incredibly lucky and were seated shortly, which was the perfect start to the meal. We ordered one thin crust pizza and one square pizza, and both were fantastic. We also got a salad that was a little underdressed, so we asked for a side of dressing to take home with the leftovers. It ended up being perfect the next day. The Laguna Beach location is beautiful. The ambiance reminded us of the Amalfi Coast. I can't wait for a location to open closer to LA because this is absolutely a place I'll keep coming back to.
I can see why this place is top rated because they really pay attention to the little details to build the branding of the restaraunt. Theres long waits, but you're probably better going at opening than waiting before opening since theres a small bench area inside the gates but limited shade outside and not much sidewalk space. We also walked here from other parts of laguna beach but the trolley makes it convenient, its pretty close to urth. I think its completely outdoor seating with more seating than expected, some of the seats can be close together but still has a lovely ambiance. They have windows to show workers prepping toppings or stretching the pizza and the waiters/front of house have a nice system going with escorting you to your table. People here are dressed nicely, but it is outdoors so casual okay just a bit elevated . Reservation only for parties of 4 plus when I looked but the other location has some limited 2 party slots, so walk in recommended The menu is designed sort of like a handwritten letter and the pizza box even has a letter of how much love was put into the pizza. Its these touches that make me appreciate this place more. We got the la foresta and the smoky vodka which was kind of big for two people to share. Their crust is on the chewy side, the rectangular style pizza is thick with nicely formed gluten air bubbles, but I actually like the flavor/artistry of the round pizza more. La foresta- mushroom, love the mushrooms cooked inside, not greasy despite being a white pizza base, the dollops are some mushroom mousse. Smoky vodka- not super heavy of what'd you expect of a creamy pasta sauce, the crust is rather robust in texture (like chewy and thick) the stracciatella was super liquid so this one can be surprisingly a bit messy. Not much of a smokey taste but hearty. I''ve never seen fresh basil be in the form of sprouts rather than whole leaves. While I don't particularly remember the pizzas have a nice bounce/cheese pull, I do think they shine in artisinal flavors. The wings at a glance also looked substantial and were on the saucier side. Both pizzas were brought out at the same time and steaming hot fresh. The flavors are not too greasy/ heavy but filling. The soft serve with olive oil is a bit of a skip, the soft serve is amazing and Id highly recommend ( they have custom plastic stamped spoons), but the way the olive oil mixed found it to have pockets of too salty and oily rather than able to be incorporated in to enhance the flavors so I'd probably choose something else. Another key point was our server An was super courteous, she was patient with our ordering, checked in, and nonjudgemental for our requests. Overall, this is perfect for a date spot or a nice weather day.
It pains me to give Truly Pizza in Laguna Beach a bad review. Truly Pizza in Dana Point is my favorite pizza place in all of OC and I was looking forward to trying their new location. The Good: The restaurant in Laguna Beach is way more charming than the one in Dana Point. All the seating is outside, around a house and feels like it's been there for years. Our waiter was a newbie, but he provided good service. The Dana Point Wedge was as good as I remembered it to be. The Bad: Our Cheese pizza came and it looked burnt on the bottom. I took a bite, and yes, indeed, the pizza was burnt. I ate what I could off the top. A big miss. I thought the Umami Mushroom would make up for the experience. It's my favorite pizza at Truly. However, when I bit into it, I got a mouthful of grease. This has NEVER happened to when I've eaten at Truly. To have one pizza miss the mark is one thing, but both? The Ugly: I tried emailing the restaurant about my experience. I received a basic canned response about the restaurant hours and reservation info. I also reached out messaging on social media but did not hear back. I thought that they would have at least replied saying that the restaurant was new and still trying to find its footing and that they were hoping that I would give them another chance. However, I guess they are so successful, they don't give a hoot about negative experiences because they have customers desperate to eat there. Tip: Reservations are available 30 days in advance, so definitely book ahead if you can. Otherwise, they do accept walk-ins but you'll have to wait. read more

I don't even know where to begin. We had a girls' day at Truly Pizza today, and it was one of those dining experiences where everything was exceptional from start to finish. First, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated after only about a 3-minute wait with no reservation. From the hostess to the water service, every single person we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there. The vibe was lovely, relaxed, and fun. We sat outside and couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Our server, Trent, absolutely made the experience. From the moment we sat down, he took the time to walk us through the menu, explain the different pizza styles, share his personal favorites, and help us decide what to order. He never rushed us and was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. You can tell he truly loves what he does. We started with the whipped burrata appetizer, which was light, fresh, and so delicious. The perfect way to start the meal without feeling too heavy before the pizza arrived. For pizza, we ordered the Potato Bianca and the Vodka pizza. I highly recommend ordering two different styles. The Vodka pizza was their thicker style, and as they say, "looks like a brick, feels like a feather." That description couldn't be more accurate. It was somehow airy, light, and packed with flavor all at once. The Potato Bianca, on the other hand, had that beautiful classic thin crust and was absolutely to die for. We loved experiencing both styles side by side. The cocktails were equally impressive. We tried the Hugo Spritz, the Truly Spritz, the Tommaso Collina, and the Baja Med margarita, which featured rosemary smoked tableside. We also had the hibiscus gin cocktail, and every single drink was fantastic. To finish, we shared the Truly Lemon Olive Oil Sea Salt soft serve, which was the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Honestly, whether you read this entire review or not, just go. The food was outstanding, the service was unforgettable, and the overall experience was one of the best restaurant visits we've had in a long time. Leftovers for days!! Perfect date night spot - but definitely book online a month ahead of time. The first time we went they said the wait for walk-in was 3 hours... We tried the pepperoni and the Supreme; and it was pretty filling! About 20-30 minute wait, but we got fries as appetizers that were really yummy! What makes the pizza different is the crust - it's very airy and crunchy. The sauce was very light as well. I think my bf's favorite part was the dessert. Lol they were so nice letting us try the olive oil soft serve for free because they took his plate too early The soft serve was a good balance of salty, sweet and citrusy. This Truly has such a charming patio and a full bar. The menu, other than the drinks, is pretty similar (or maybe identical) to the Dana Point location. The wedge salad is my absolute favorite and the white Negroni is my favorite cocktail. The classic pepperoni is also great. One ding is that I wish they would let you order the square pizzas on the round crust or do half and half pizzas. read more
We have been longtime fans of Truly in Dana Point and were so excited to see this location open up in Laguna Beach! The beautiful setting, high quality service, and delicious pizza all match the Dana Point location, but it was a bit too chaotic and I can't say we'd visit this location again. We made a reservation (30 days in advance) and showed up on time, just to wait an additional 20 minutes past our reserved time. Parking was an absolute nightmare, as is the line waiting for the two bathrooms that serve the whole restaurant. The Skinny Margarita pizza is to die for, but we also tried the spinach artichoke as it's one of the few we hadn't tried yet, and it was pretty bland. Hostesses and waitress were very friendly and one of our pizzas was delicious, but the parking, long waits (even with a reservation), and overall chaos took away from our overall experience. I will add though that in my opinion, pricing is excellent - you pay for and receive very high quality food for reasonable prices, comparatively. read more

I went to Truly Pizza for an early dinner with friends. We started with Truly Sprits: Lemon, Basil, Prosecco: Light, refreshing, sun-kissed. Lemon and basil rise through the prosecco Like a breeze through & garden, orlap and effortless. We shared two salads--which were really good; Spagnola Salad: Arugula and radicchio blend tossed in a quince dressing, topped with grated Manchego cheese, smoked prosciutto, zodiac pears, Marcona almonds The Dana Point Wedge: Iceberg lettuce, our house made herby ranch, candied walnuts, local dates, chives, red onion, smoked bacon, cracked black pepper, Point Reyes Blue cheese crumbles. My friends all enjoyed their pizzas: American Artisan Round Pizza Champion Tomato & Cheese: California red sauce, basil, chopped Dorati tomatoes, mozzarella (subbed out for vegan cheese), topped with garlic oil, sea salt crust. American Artisan Square Pizzas: Original Cheese: California red sauce, fresh & whole milk mozzarella, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, grated Romano with added mushrooms. And the Smoky Vodka: Our vodka sauce, provola, whole milk mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, stracciatella, pistachio lemon pesto, fresh basil and added beef pepperoni *$1 from every pizza sold will be donated to Laguna Beach Police & Community Foundation - K9 Unit* Since I have a gluten allergy I had my pizza with gluten-free crust--which was just ok. The pizza toppings was Mamma Mia: Fresh & whole milk mozzarella, baked ricotta, California red sauce, our meatballs (subbed out for beef pepperoni), Sicilian oregano, fresh basil, house made sweet & hot pickled fresno peppers--I thought my pizza would "wow" me based on this being a recommendation from the first server we had, and with all the hype this restaurant has received, but unfortunately it was average. We sat outside-- to be honest I don't know if they have indoor seating--and the ambience was breathtaking: beautiful trees and greenery. The two servers we had--due to a shift change were nice, however one of my friends pizzas never came--when we inquired he was told his pizza would be out in 5 to 10 minutes, which actually took 30 minutes--so he waited for his pizza for 90 minutes from the time sat down an ordered to the time he ate (my friend is vegan so he didn't have an salad)--and the server never said, "sorry for the delay, you won't be charged." I had to politely tell her, "He has waited over an hour so we won't be paying for his pizza." She immediately spoke to her manager, he was kind, however the whole situation was a bit off-putting. My friend's daughter did like the dessert: Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream with Oreo Crumbles. Overall, I would come back for salad, drinks and the incredible atmosphere! read more
Love the pizza at Truly. This was our first time at the Laguna Beach location and it was a very nice experience sitting in the back patio area. Service was great as expected, and the pizzas were delicious (no surprise). We tried the new Super Skinny Margherita, and OMG I would highly recommend it. Looooved the paper thin crust and tasty sauce, topped with basil and dollops of cheese. So yummy! We also got our usual fave, the Sweet & Spicy, as well as the Crispy Pepperoni. For dessert we ordered the soft serve, Truly way, with olive oil, sea salt and lemon zest. The only reason I reduced 1 star was because the chairs were so darn uncomfortable and hurt my tailbone. Very weird thing to say, I know, but never have I felt so much discomfort from a chair while dining out. read more

The pizza was absolutely delicious, but the crust on the crispy pepperoni was a little too hard for my liking . I've never tasted anything so delicious like there Smokey vodka. WOW!!! so much flavor super soft. Service was great. The ambience is really good. I feel like I was in someone's backyard just enjoying pizza. read more

Truly pizza truly is so good! My husband is a big pizza lover so we've gone to allllll of the pizza spots in town lol this is easily a part of his top 3! Service is always top tier and the patio is decorated so nicely it feels like you're in Italy read more
Wanted to see what all the hype was about at Truly Pizza and well... it actually lived up to it. The "paper thin" pizza was the star for me. I'm a NYC pizza person (think Jon's and Rubirosa), and this is probably the closest thing I've had to that style in OC. Super thin, crispy, light, and dangerously easy to keep eating. We also tried the square pizza and it was alright, but I personally didn't get the obsession over that one. If you're going, I'd definitely stick with the thin pies. One thing to know: reservations book out FAST, so plan ahead or be prepared to wait. Totally worth trying if you're into quality pizza with that New York-style vibe. read more

4/29/26 Truly Pizza, I have been dreaming of the day it opens! It is everything that I had hoped for and MORE! Marvelous food offerings-so mouthwatering & bursting with flavor-spectacular views, attentive service, what more could you ask for? It's their soft opening & for the time, of all the ones I've attended, this flowed without a hitch. Thinking that a walk in was the way to go, Hubby & I were surprised at how busy they were and a reservation through Open Table was needed. I pushed through at 15 minutes til closing, hoping a cancellation would squeeze us in. As luck would have it, 5 minutes til closing-- we were let in--amazingly at the same table we used to sit when it was Number 3. Only front & back patio seating (who would want to sit inside?) --- you have to see for yourselves! Our server, Jay, was on top of things, welcoming & attended to us like we were his only customers. Please see photos/videos of our selection. Everything was topnotch, from the buffalo wings, Soagnola salad to the Pepperoni pizza-- it looks heavy but it light, crispy crust. Would love to return to try other delicious dishes on the menu. I'm blown away at the majestic transformation of this historical landmark house. This is something you would have to experience to believe. Phenomenal does not cover it. I was in awe with mouth agape (except when I was eating lol). Of course I could've gone to the Truly pizza in Dana point but I live in Huntington Beach and it's so close to go to Laguna and I saw they were opening and I made a reservation three weeks in advance which I highly recommend. Joey was my server and he was so sweet and all of the hostesses were very sweet and kind, excellent service! Also I believe a manager came out to check on me halfway through my meal, which was really nice was telling me about the dessert which I did not order because I was too full, but I will get next time. I was by myself and I really wanted to try two pizzas but I realized I wouldn't be able to eat all of it lol! I ordered the Dante I really loved that it had chicken sausage and the sauce was really good and I liked that the crust is very thin but also crispy. I also ordered the chicken wings and I got the sauce on the side and the sauce was amazing and to be honest, I could've just eaten those chicken wings with nothing on them because they were so crispy and good. I had the sauces on the side ,harissa and the other was ranch, to be honest, I was also dipping my pizza in it! I ordered the Spagnola salad and it was so tasty. I love that they had the prosciutto around the bottom so you could just mix it in easily. The cheese was graded so fine and the dressing was so yummy. I did think the wine was a very small pour for the price so honestly, I probably wouldn't order wine again, but I ended up getting a cocktail that had hibiscus and it was very refreshing. I will definitely be returning to truly pizza. I want to try their sandwiches also.. the location is so adorable right next to urth Café on PCH and I parked in the Forest parking lot which was really easy to walk and a beautiful walk also. read more

What a TREAT it was to dine at the new Truly Pizza in Laguna Beach! Reservations were full but luckily they were taking walk-ins. I tried my luck on Mother's Day and put my name in around 11am, hostess said to come back at 2pm which I was happy to do. We got sat around 2:15pm, it's all outdoors but the ambience is really cute with the lemons and vines hanging down. I tried the limoncello spritz 7/10. They gave out free prosecco for the mothers which was nice. We shared the garlic pull apart bread which is just as delicious as everyone says it is, 10/10. And we got the spicy vodka pizza and added pepperoni, sooo good 10/10! For dessert we ended with the soft serve with chocolate sauce and Oreo cookies. Everything tasted great! Service was amazing from start to finish. The hostess, server, manager, bussers, everyone was accommodating and kind to us. We felt very taken care of, can't wait to go back! read more

Great experience. Made a reservation at the wrong location (Dana Point) however the host was so helpful and was able to get us a table around that time. So thankful for her. Service can be slow. But the food was amazing. We got the Picnic Plate, the Wedge Salad and Sweet and Spicy pizza. It was plenty for 4 people. Decorations were beautiful. Will come back to try more pizzas. read more

This place is so beautiful The pizza is amazing (as always) and definitely lives up to the hype. I loved the outdoor setup with all the lemon trees--it genuinely feels like you're dining in a cozy backyard. They don't have their liquor license yet, but honestly didn't miss it at all. The mocktail selection is great. It's located near Urth Café, and street parking can be tough, so I'd give yourself ~15 minutes before your reservation just to be safe. It's hard to pick a favorite pizza because you really can't go wrong with any of them. And bonus! They reheat so well, so don't be afraid to over-order. I had leftovers the next day and it brought me right back to that dreamy garden We also brought our dog and they were so sweet!! Immediately brought her a water bowl. We drove down from LA and definitely will be coming down again before reservations get as crazy as their other location. read more

Great place for pizza!!! TRULY delicious !! You won't be disappointed, the pizza crust is perfect and literally will have you driving miles away just for this place! Tommy was our server for today and was phenomenal!!!! Made sure we had everything we need to enjoy our meal and suggested a few items on the menu! Had a shakearato !! Best pizza experience I've had in awhile. The whipped ricotta could have been a meal itself, we loved it. For our main, we had the Smokey Vodka pizza with upgraded sesame butter crust and I can't say enough good things about it. It's very difficult to get reservations here but my wife took care of it so I have no complaints!! read more

Truly the best pizza around. Almost all pizza is great, but this pizza is the best. This isn't your New York style slice. All 3 of their styles are crispy, thin or thick. The sauces are great. There isn't anything I haven't liked on the menu and their service is usually top notch. There is a reason it's hard to get a reservation. Their wings and salad are amazing as well, but the harissa honey (while absolutely delicious) feels out of place. read more

Was unable to reserve a table so decided to come in as a walk-in. Was greeted immediately, vibe was decent for OC & was assured of a spot on a wait list. Once the wait was over we were handled with a lot of care, multiple people attending us as well as a manager providing us with an umbrella to better the shade where we sat. All in all I felt the food was spectacular and well seasoned; looking forward to my leftovers! Almost deducted points for the fake flowers and faded and fake lemons above the patio above the waiting area but I'll let it slide. read more

Was super excited to try Truly Pizza after hearing so many great reviews. We made our reservation about a month in advance since they're always so booked out. Unfortunately, I guess it just wasn't for us. I'm a huge pizza lover, but I found the pizza pretty mediocre overall. The pies were extremely oily and lacked enough sauce for my taste. In fact, I felt a little sick on the drive home because of how greasy the pizza was. Given the hype, I expected much more. Between the long wait for reservations and the price point, I just didn't feel it was worth the value. It honestly felt like one of those places that's become overhyped. I'm glad we tried it at least once, but it's probably not a place we'll be returning to. read more

Been wanting to try this Truly for a long time but would reservations were always limited. Finally got one and I mixed up and went on the wrong day. Hostess was very accommodating and asked if we would like to still put our name down so we did. The wait was only 30 mins. So I took a walk down to the beach and back and my table was ready. Pizza was fantastic, love the round crust. Service was great. Had a great experience so I came back on the right day of my reservation. read more

Truly is a place where the reservations are impossible to get online and walk-ins can expect at least a 2 hour wait. Thankfully you can see your name on the wait-list online once you put your name in so I was able to go home and come back when my table was ready! The details in the decor outside on the sunny patio energetically swept me away to italy. The menus were filled with poetry and the drink descriptions were like riddles you had to decipher so if that's your thing, your eyes and mind will have quite a feast. Service was lacking quite a bit on a Friday at noon, we ate our entire appetizer and drank our water bottle before anyone came and checked in on us. Our water was never refilled.... We had the Tommaso Colino drink (so refreshing and easy to drink on a hot day, you seriously can't taste any alcohol), the whipped ricotta (divine, the bread was toasted beautifully and golden. So airy and perfect. The pool of olive oil was delicious!!), the sweet n spicy pizza (the crust is thick but it's airy. They gave us honey on the side due to the high bee activity and thank God they did because the second we opened the honey, we saw a bee coming right for us. The pizza itself is delicious, no notes), the dante pizza (I loved this one, the chicken and peppers made it very umami forward). The vanilla ice cream the truly way with sea salt and olive oil was so good and almost tasted like lemon zest! Despite the slow service and no water refill, the food really saved the day in my opinion of Truly Pizza. I can't wait until later this month when they'll finally have take-out. read more

Came here at 11:20 on a Saturday morning! Waited only ~5 minutes. Exterior is beautiful and spacious. My friend and I loved the food, but pizza took way too long to come out :( It took about 30 minutes from when we got our salad - the waitress did let us know about the delay, but it was frustrating that other tables around us (who sat after us) received their 2/3 pizzas before us even though we only ordered 1. Would come back to try more pizzas, but slightly disappointed with first experience! read more

Can we order to go pizza?
You have to check with the restaurant, last time I was there they were in the process of ordering few more pizza ovens to be able to serve to go orders. Hopefully they are there already. They are just delicious!!

Yes you just wait in a long line out the door :) limited parking sometimes too but worth it

No valet if I remember correctly
How is parking?
Pretty much everywhere in Laguna Beach is a nightmare to park unfortunately. Small private parking lot in the rear.
They take walk-in?
Yes- you check in , they txt. It is about an hour wait. Go across the street to Royal Hawaiian , while you wait.
