HOLY YUM.. I will be dreaming about my next visit.. buuuut getting a reservation is SO hard.. I was able to get a reservation for my 21st birthday and I'm so happy I did because this is by far my favorite pizza/italian style restaurant I've been to in the OC.. The Truly Spritz was so lemony which I LOVE. The wedge salad was a great wedge alongside the garlic bread (droooling with how light and yum it was).. The Smoky Vodka was nice and airy but I was shocked it wasn't as vodka spicy as I thought it would be (the flavor was definitely more bland than expected but was still so delicious to eat). Lastly my server surprised me with a soft serve, which was TO DIE FOR. It was so light and yummy that I wanted more of it haha!! Also expect to wait a little after your reservation time.. Service was a bit slow at first but it was nice to be allowed to take our own time once seated without feeling rushed in such a nice atmosphere of a restaurant.

Came here at 11:20 on a Saturday morning! Waited only ~5 minutes. Exterior is beautiful and spacious. My friend and I loved the food, but pizza took way too long to come out :( It took about 30 minutes from when we got our salad - the waitress did let us know about the delay, but it was frustrating that other tables around us (who sat after us) received their 2/3 pizzas before us even though we only ordered 1. Would come back to try more pizzas, but slightly disappointed with first experience!

We were here during soft opening. We've been a long time patrons of Truly in Dana Point and so we wanted to try this newly opened one in Laguna Beach. We've seen several businesses open and close soon after in this exact location. We're hoping Truly's stays open. Came here to celebrate a birthday for one in our group, and we brought one who is a newbie to Truly. There was a long queue once we got here, which was as soon as it opened. But that didn't deter us as we love Truly and we were all truly excited to try this location. As usual, the food was delicious! We had some chicken wings (Harissa and plain), fries and of course some pizza! We had the La Foresta and the sweet and spicy (our fave) with added pepperoni. If you know the Truly vibe, this location is more on brand! However, we still do love the Dana Point location and they did really good making you feel you're in a different more "in nature" location even if it's between building structures/ parking. Ambiance is so nice and still shielded from the harsh sun with the greenery and coverings they put in. So calming and tastefully decorated. And this location is also licensed to offer not just wine but cocktail drinks as well! Oh yes!! Service is good, staffs nice and food came out quickly! Would love to come back at this location soon!

Finally got to try the pizza place that's been all over my Instagram! We came around 12:00pm on a Friday and they told us the wait was around an hour. I guess if it's popular you can expect a long wait time, so be prepared. For starters we got the house salad which was honestly not too impressive, basically just iceberg lettuce and some light dressing. However, they are known for their pizza and that did not disappoint. Our group of 4 split 3 pizzas and we took home leftovers. First, we ordered the Viola, a thin crust pizza which was super pretty and topped with flowers! But our favorites were the square pizzas, the Smoky Vodka and Suprema. The crust is fluffy, almost like a focaccia, and the flavor combinations were hitting. These pizzas made the wait truly worth it! We actually ordered our dessert before the meal , since the pizzas take about 30 minutes to cook after ordering. But we shared the soft serve the truly way, which comes with olive oil, salt, and lemon zest. This was very delicious, all the flavors paired very well and it was almost refreshing! Finally, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible service! They were very friendly and attentive. Our waiter even brought an umbrella to help shield us from the sun, which was much appreciated. Overall, I had a very nice experience here and would recommend!

Came as an early birthday celebration and left so happy! For drinks, we ordered their pear cider and LOVED it. Unlike the Dana Point location, they have an extensive cocktail menu and can make you anything you'd like. We knew we wanted pizza so we ordered the La foresta and La deu. Both were incredible but I preferred the La Deu, if I had to choose. Try both! If you like ranch on your pizza, you'll love theirs. Absolutely ask for a side of ranch. We were seated in the back under trees and heaters and thought it was such a nice environment for a meal. It's hard to get a reservation, but we joined a waitlist on the open table app (choose a time range and the number of people in your party for a particular date)

Amazing!! I loved the crunch from the pizza. We got the sweet and spicy and it was a lovely combination. We also got the Spagnola Salad which has prosciutto, arugula, and pear! Perfect for me The service was a bit iffy. They had asked if we wanted sides about 4 times and it wasn't until the 4th time when we got them. Ambiance is great for date night or small gatherings

We were excited to get pizza here with friends! Easiest is to get a reservation ahead of time. We put our name at 3:00pm and got a table around 5pm but we got lucky due to cancellations. The pizza was pretty amazing. We ordered 4 pizzas for 7 adults and a cheese pizza for the kids. Everything was great and super unique. The drinks are very different and I ordered the Tommaso Colino and it was a refreshing sweet and tart drink. My favorite pizza was the mamma Mia. All the servers were super nice and friendly. Although since it's busy, it felt like we didn't see our servers much and had to wait awhile for extra things we needed to ask for. But overall a great experience. The outside seating is beautiful with the trees and lights. Would recommend this pizza place and we are for sure coming back.

Date of Visit: 6/19/26 Time of Visit: 12:15pm My wife had to make a reservation a whole month in advance for the two of us since it's an extremely popular pizza restaurant. After eating here, I can safely confirm it's worth the wait and lives up to the hype on social media. We started off our lunch with a Dana Point Wedge salad. The dressing was really delicious and the crunch of the iceberg lettuce was awesome. We ordered two pizzas (one round, one square) to share. The round one we ordered was the Umami Pizza. It definitely lived up to its name. The flavor profile of the pizza was extremely umami. In fact, I even love the sesame crust due to its extreme crunch and flavor. The square pizza we ordered was the Spicy Vodka pizza. The crust was thick, but airy on this pizza. The flavor was great overall, but we both expected there to be some spiciness due to its name, but we never detected any heat at all. We finished off our meal with their signature Truly Soft Serve, which is house made vanilla soft serve with olive oil, sea salt, and lemon zest. That combination of toppings seemed strange to me when reading about it, but it was surprisingly good! Overall, this is a top tier pizza restaurant with very high quality pizzas. The service was on point and the seating area made it feel like we were hanging out in a backyard of a friend's house. We already made reservations to come back next month!

I'm glad to get a reservation at the last minute. We arrived early and was able check in and browse the menu while we waited. We were a few minutes early. I didn't realize there was a back patio with seating as well and it was cool back there on a hot day. It's nice so you don't get too hot but I did ask for a blanket. As for service, I thought it was just ok. We literally sat there over 10min before our waitress decided to come and even greet us. We had already looked over the whole menu watching all the servers walk around us. Not sure if there was a shift break or what but I was not impressed. I noticed other tables right after they sat down, they were being greeted. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt this time. But it was ok. Since we waited so long, we were ready to order when our waitress finally came. It does take awhile for the pizzas to be cooked. You would think the thinnest one would come out first but it did not. Who knows. We tried 3 different ones. My nephew is a huge fan of the Ciccio which came out 2nd. Champion Tomato & Cheese came out first and that was my favorite. We also got the Sweet & Spicy. It was my 2nd favorite. We ended with a pistachio soft serve which was creamy. I think I prefer the signature one more. Glad to have this location closer and a different vibe from their Dana Point location.

I actually like the look of this one more than the Dana Point location it looks like youre dining in a garden. Less busy too. Shoutout Andrew fr. Chopped it up with us alot and was very enthusiastic about his recommendations. Sounds like he actually wants to be there, like he's put in a couple years into making Truly Pizza successful and has some favorites of his own from the kitchen. That being said here's my opinion on the food: The seasonal burrata (with artichoke dip?) was delicious. I often overlook burrata onna menu but this one had me dipping my leftover pizza crust. I got the seasonal potato bianca pizza because I love veggies and potatoes. On that end it performed, but could use sumn tangy I hit it with some calabrian chili that we got on the side and it definitely helped. The Dante was good, I wished it had more of that vodka sauce as advertised. The Smoky Vodka with sesame crust was sensational hit at our table. A fusion of many different flavors including the bright acidic vodka sauce itself, the smoky proscuitto, the creamy burrata, and even a hint of pesto (or maybe just hella herbs) checked all the boxes we like in a pizza. Im not a big crust guy but I cleared tf outta that sesame crust Andrew recommended. A great experience through and through, will def come back, reeeaaally hoping the seasonal Bella Donna makes a reappearance because I never got to try it idk Andrew if you seein this lemme know

I was sooooo excited for Truly to open in Laguna yall have no idea. Been dreaming about it since I went to their og Dana Point location so I'm so happy they opened closer to me in Laguna (prime real estate right in front of Main Beach) Just as good as I remember! The Sweet & Spicy was one I knew I had to reorder just because of how good it was last time, my god it still might be my favorite one even though I tried a lot of new stuff today. I just love a sweet savory combo with the hot honey and the airy crust is perfection. It looks super thick but it's not heavy at all- it's very airy and you're able to eat a lot more slices than you'd expect. Truly White was also amazing it's basically a bunch of different types of cheeses which is hard to not come onnnn. I would definitely recommend trying this one first right as it comes out as the cheese hardens more than the other pizzas on our table! Knew I had to try the Ciccio coming in- it's super thin and crispy, and you can really taste how fresh the tomato sauce is because of that and how minimal the cheese is on top. This one would be great as an appetizer, probably better than the appetizer we did order- the whipped ricotta. It was still good, I think it just didn't feel as worth the money for the portion size as any of the pizzas we ordered. The Smoky Vodka was also sooo good. Tbh it's pretty similar to the Sweet & Spicy pizza, so I'd say choose between the two when ordering. I feel like that's also because I'm allergic to pesto, so we got it on the side, and I feel like that would've made the pizza taste different and better. Server was super kind about the accommodation! The presentation is super pretty with all the basil. Our server was amazing in giving us detailed explanations of their pizzas and what makes them truly unique! Super helpful in letting us know what kinds of add-ons were available, and checked up on us multiple times. I also really like the vibe of this Truly- I think it might be a little smaller and clustered than the Dana Point location, but this one has that irreplaceable Laguna charm! One thing I will note is that our seats got a lot of direct sunlight, as well as some other tables around us, so I wish they had some more shading. These are all just super small critiques though and I really do love Truly so much. It's definitely the best pizza I've had in California, I would probably say I've ever had anywhere too since I prefer a thicker lighter slice over a thin floppy New York slice. I already know I'll be back so many times :)

It pains me to give Truly Pizza in Laguna Beach a bad review. Truly Pizza in Dana Point is my favorite pizza place in all of OC and I was looking forward to trying their new location. The Good: The restaurant in Laguna Beach is way more charming than the one in Dana Point. All the seating is outside, around a house and feels like it's been there for years. Our waiter was a newbie, but he provided good service. The Dana Point Wedge was as good as I remembered it to be. The Bad: Our Cheese pizza came and it looked burnt on the bottom. I took a bite, and yes, indeed, the pizza was burnt. I ate what I could off the top. A big miss. I thought the Umami Mushroom would make up for the experience. It's my favorite pizza at Truly. However, when I bit into it, I got a mouthful of grease. This has NEVER happened to when I've eaten at Truly. To have one pizza miss the mark is one thing, but both? The Ugly: I tried emailing the restaurant about my experience. I received a basic canned response about the restaurant hours and reservation info. I also reached out messaging on social media but did not hear back. I thought that they would have at least replied saying that the restaurant was new and still trying to find its footing and that they were hoping that I would give them another chance. However, I guess they are so successful, they don't give a hoot about negative experiences because they have customers desperate to eat there. Tip: Reservations are available 30 days in advance, so definitely book ahead if you can. Otherwise, they do accept walk-ins but you'll have to wait.

    How is parking?

Pretty much everywhere in Laguna Beach is a nightmare to park unfortunately. Small private parking lot in the rear.

    They take walk-in?

Yes- you check in , they txt. It is about an hour wait. Go across the street to Royal Hawaiian , while you wait.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

We got seated at our table at our table around 4:30p and had the most perfect view of the ocean! *we went on a Friday night and noticed the patio cleared out about 4:45-5pm and I didn't appear to have a lot of people waiting during that time. The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. Upon arrival, you'll find that the valet completely disregards the flow of the street. They use the southbound lane as a parking lot, effectively turning a small two-way road into a one-way alley. The valet guys were also rude to people trying to drive through for no apparent reason. When sitting outside on the deck, there are 12 heaters available, but the hostess wouldn't turn them on. (I've eaten at many waterfront restaurants, and they all turn the heaters on--especially when the temperature drops from 80°F and sunny to 68°F after the sun goes down.) The website states no seating after 8 p.m., yet they were still seating people well after 8:15. The menu was also not what I was expecting. While waiting for dinner, the aroma of marijuana drifted across the dining area. (I know they can't control what happens outside their establishment.) the deck is roped off because apparently it's unsafe and could fall off at any moment in addition to the rotting floor. The food: The menu is underwhelming. I ordered the chicken with sun-dried tomato risotto and vegetables. The risotto was undercooked and flavorless, and the chicken was also lacking flavor. I sampled the New York steak with mashed potatoes--the steak was cooked well, but the potatoes were cold. We didn't even bother ordering dessert and went elsewhere instead.

He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. The food was 3.5/5 I love to support small business, perhaps we will try again another night.

Also the items picked were surprisingly huge and i was too full to finish my meal. 9/10 The chips tasted delicious, bean dip was something new and delicious, salsa was fresh and bold, and the roasted pepper salsa was surprisingly not too spicy, really good. 8/10 trio de cheviche. Good assortment and size of the dish. Shrimp was ok, I felt it was missing something, octopus was good, my personal favorite was the marinaded tuna. 8/10 seafood chile relleno, not a bad assortment, sides were good, large portions of food. 10/10 Coco rita, this margarita is definitely something different! And pairs with everything amazingly, I love it, and this is coming from someone who normally hates coconut. 9/10 they brought out this chocolate cake I dont see on the menu but they will if it's your birthday, but in my case to celebrate my new engagement. Super moist. The place is really loud ambient wise when busy which was around 8pm which is normal of any popular place but after near closing around 9:30 is pretty quiet and casual on a Sunday. Total bill after a 21% tip ran me total $165 and I had leftovers. Free chips, 1 large giant appetizer, and 1 large entree could potentially feed 3 people if you don't eat a lot. If you don't wanna have leftovers, go easy on the chips but that's gonna be hard.
