I reached out to Trust Dental and scheduled a consultation that went great! I noticed how the team at Trust Dental gave me options of care due to my situation and that an implant was not entirely needed after all. I ended up getting a gingivectomy and a crown that looks so identical to my original tooth that it's unreal! I appreciated the clean rides from the border to the office and back if needed. Call it discernment, but this facility couldn't even fulfill the promise of a virtual over the phone consultation. They asked me to show up with new current x-rays, which I rushed to get done before our consult today. I sent them the x-rays on Friday. Monday morning; today, comes around and they've yet to send me a link for our consultation. I called them a few times asking for them to send it to me which they did not each time. They then asked if they can now show up late, past our consultation time, and not do a virtual consultation any longer so I can't actually see that I'm speaking to a doctor. They never called. They never sent an email. All lies. If this is how they handle the easiest, most basic parts of this process, I can't imagine how they work on people's mouth. Run ... stay away ... if you want your teeth cleaned , they can do the job otherwise , they pretend they are oral surgeons and they are NOT . My wife has gone through agonizing pain since we visited trust dental on april 23 , 2026 . Before our visit , we had emailed them xrays to make sure they understand what needs to be done , she needed bone grafting and after healing , implants and crowns for 2 teeth in her upper right . We negotiated a deal for $5600 . Upon our arrival at their office , they came up with a $9100 invoice , further telling us that if we pay cash , we could get it down to $8000. They told us that she needs grafting in her lower left side of her jaw as well as upper right . She had implants in that area and her two crowns which we had with us , needed to be secured back in . the dentist was adamant that the implants need to be secured by grafting again in lower area. It required for them to put her to sleep and called in an anesthesia tech ( not a doctor ) and she had oral surgery for more than 3 hours , we were told to return in 4 months , we paid them $2500 and they even charged us $25 for medical pass !!! . She was in sever pain days after , we called them and they said its normal , after a few days , pain had gotten worse so we drove back to mexico and the dentist told us that some food was stock in that area and that caused the pain , told us , she has cleaned it out and send us back after a short visit . The pain got worse , we decided to visit a local dentist in Irvine , CA ( oral surgeon specialist ) who advised us that the area is infected and they should have never operated the grafting in the lower area since it was not necessary at all and now she has open wounds and blisters in her mouth and she has to endure the pain for 6 weeks and it will cost us $3000 more just to undo what they did in mexico and if we are lucky , she will heal afterwards , they have no clue of what they are doing , we visited another specialist and were told the same . I reached out to the dental office in mexico and was told , we are sorry !!! They trick you by being nice on the phone , being polite to get you there and will harm you possibly beyond recovery . RUN! DO NOT GO HERE! We went to Trust as we had a good experience in 2015. I am an RN, CCM,HN-BC and I do not recommend this clinic or any clinic in Mexico for implants. 1. TRUST is not trustworthy now! Final price was finally given the SECOND day for implants and was 3x more than quoted. We have the paperwork. 2. They initially put us up in a horrible hotel & we changed to Lucerna which was nice. 3. On day one, TRUST demanded we get a CT BEFORE they would finalize pricing. Our quote was $9 880 for implants lwith zirconia teeth. All inclusive. Things changed right from the airport. They said we needed at CT right away & wouldn't take us to our hotel to rest. We had to pay cash on the spot first day here . $275. Also my disabled diabetic spouse had to climb 3 flights of stairs after traveling all day. We were not given opportunities to eat until after CT was done. 4. TRUST paid for bloodwork the morning of second day as we refused to pay for it as was another SURPRISE! Again, my spouse had to climb 2 flights of stairs for this bloodwork. The bloodwork place at least had an elevator but it was broken. Not ok to do this to disabled people. 5. We were given final prices with treatment plan afternoon of second day. Guarantee requires several trips back & forth plus 2 cleanings a year! 6. I then wanted pricing for Zirconia dentures & was quoted $7,000. for just dentures not implants!!!!! 7. We declined all treatments. They told us they would take us back to the airport as we decided to go home. They abandoned us at the hotel. We took a taxi suggested by the concierge at Lucerna. We left Tijuana in 34 minutes. No word from TRUST. 8. We requested copies of our CT & bloodwork. Remains to be seen if they will send or not. 9. We requested the owner & medical director to call us both days & we never received a call about the prices or horrible care we were given. All in all we spent $3,000 for this trip. For nothing. Upon arriving home, the next day, we got 2 estimates for implants here in Oregon. Both estimates were LESS than what Trust wanted to charge us for non zirconia teeth when you add in travel costs. 10. TRUST was quoting us for acrylic teeth. We are getting zirconia teeth on titanium with all needed bone grafts, PRP blood, beautiful functional temp teeth & functional permanent zirconia teeth & all dental care included for 5 yrs for LESS than TRUST quoted us. 11. PRICING BAIT & SWITCH- TRUST'S original quote was $9,880 and they upped it to over $28,000!!!!! We are now paying LESS total for all inclusive dental care here in Oregon we will have no travel expenses. If anything goes wrong, we will have recourse here in USA, while in Mexico we wouldn't have any legal recourse. 12. Another couple was there at the same time we were & also having problems with hotel, and pages of consents & contract TRUST requires patients agree to & sign. The other patient was UPSET as her husband was in surgical already and they told her to sign about 8 pages of a contract. When we were at Trust in 2015, the office was HAPPY & crowded with many patients. I saw the appointment books the second day when they discussed treatment & the appointment books were very empty. I feel like I am about to have an anxiety attack. I am experiencing the worst nightmare someone can have. To make a long story short, I had the All-on-Four procedure done at Trust Dental on 3/ 2018. The results were deplorable. I was repeatedly told that I had Ivoclar teeth, but after some investigating, it was revealed that my teeth were only approximately $10 each. So, after I blasted their butts by posting Google and Yelp reviews, they FINALLY decided to repair the work by replacing the upper and lower teeth. BUT, this past Thanksgiving, my lower tooth broke. And, then, like dominoes, the other teeth started falling apart. They are saying that they can fix the teeth, and they want me to come for the fourth time. Please let me mention that during this pandemic, I do NOT desire to hurt anybody's business, BUT I believe that it is my American duty to warn others so that they will not suffer a similar fate. Well, I should have known better than to have gone back to Trust Dental to get the original broken work re-done. But, pre-COVID, other dentists did not want to do my dental restoration because they did not want to take responsibility for someone else's work. So, I reluctantly went to Tijuana to get the upper and lower teeth replaced. I feel so STUPID! As you can tell by the pics, I am embarrassed and ashamed to smile because of the dilapidated dental apparatus. In some way, I am happy about the mandatory face masks because I get to hide my hideous teeth. Might I add that I am a frontline worker who has been working numerous hours to save money for dental restoration? I now have been diagnosed with PTSD because of the psychological trauma that I have endured. The California Dental Board said that this was out of their jurisdiction. There was no response regarding Dr. Cirenia Aparacio using another name (Dr. Selena D. Kurt) while performing dental services in the US. Befuddling. So, if you are contemplating on be adventurous and becoming a dental tourist, please spare yourself the nightmare of being disappointed and possibly disfigured. ESPECIALLY if you are an African-American. I'm not particularly eager to pull the race card, but when I was in Mexico, there was an understanding that blacks were less than and NOT equal. Maybe this ideology permeates the business-arena as well.? You do not want to be kicking yourself in the butt. I have lost money from lost days at work. I live in Los Angeles, and have been to some of the best dentists in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area. For a while, I've had 8 failing veneers/crowns, but found the cost for care in LA insanely expensive. That led me to search for dental care in Tijuana. Apprehensive, I thought I'd give it a shot. I couldn't be happier I did. I ran across Trust Dental and after several calls and emails answering all of my many questions (cost, veneer material, technology, warranty, border crossing tips, etc) I made an appointment. 2 days in, I have a new smile that I could not be happier with. And I'm not even in the porcelain ones yet! I walked across the border, mentioned to customs I had a dentist appt, and gained entry without a problem. The office had someone pick me up just about a 3 minute walk across the street on the Mexican side to the pharmacy. I was a little worried but it couldn't have been easier. The office is actually cleaner, more beautiful and advanced than any I've ever seen in LA. But that's just the beginning. Dr. Cirenia Miranda and Dr. Cruz (the cosmetic specialist) took a look at my existing veneers and crowns and gave me a run down on what could be improved on. The shapes were 'too old and bulky' for my facial profile. They explained how my smile profile could be improved. I emailed them an inspiration picture. During that visit, they removed the previous work. Dr. Cruz is a GENIUS at administering antiseptic. I have a phobia of needles. I felt a tiny pinch, that was it. Wow. After some impressions, I was fitted with an overnight temp. Second day, I was fitted with a temp that I'll wear for the next week while my permanent porcelain/zirconium crowns are made. I have an implant that a piece will need to be ordered, so if you have implants, I suggest you call ahead with the brand/size so they can preorder them, saving you a trip. All in all, I'm EXTREMELY happy, and I'm just wearing the temps! (See the pic) They look very natural. Such a great decision to have the work done here in Tijuana, and by this office. If you're considering it, this is the answer. Dr. Miranda and Dr. Cruz are both is extremely detail oriented and answered my many questions with patience and knowledge. And their staff couldn't have been nicer, awesome people. I'm so excited to get the finals in. I'll update with a pic once they're placed. All in all, $25,000 worth of work in LA (top 8 teeth) cost me just around $4k here, and is equal in quality if not actually superior. And the crowns are replaced FREE of charge if they break, for up to a year or so after. THANK YOU TRUST DENTAL. PS. Consider staying at Hotel Lucerna. We've had a bunch of work done here over a course of few years while we lived in San Diego. First everything seemed like a great deal compared to US prices. Will try to be very objective here and list everything: They have very friendly staff, convenient transport options (private taxi) to and from the office and they seem to have modern equipment and certified dentists.We had fillings , root canals, implant , braces done here with various success. Their sales (upsell) process is rather used car salesman-like. Root canal was poorly done, my tooth hurt on and off for a period of 1,5 years after they did crowns. They kept telling me I wasn't flossing right and everything was OK, even though I bought the best water flosser and used regular floss as well. Only after like 2.5 years after continued random issues I went to a reputable Endodontist in the US who pretty much has to re-do ALL root canals they did because they were not properly done. At this point it's even uncertain if my teeth can be saved, time will tell. The initial savings going to Trust Dental quickly evaporated and now I have to spend thousands to get things fixed. read more

We walked over the border from CA based on the recommendation of a friend. I was amazed at how beautiful and clean the office was! It was nicer than any dentist offices I have been to in the US. The staff all spoke perfect english and they even sent a driver to pick us up at the border in a mercedes! The dentist was friendly, knowledgable and they treated my shy daughter so kindly. I had previously written a glowing review for this business. It seems there's been a change in management and Deni is gone and along with her all the things that made this place so awesome. It seems all they care about now is just making money instead of making clients happy. I used to come here all the time for all my dental needs but after the last few visits I won't be coming back. I came for a consultation and they wanted to sell me thousands of dollars of services most of which I felt I really didn't need. I also previously had work done that needed to be redone and they refused to take responsibility and wouldn't even give a discount to do it over again. I'm still recovering from my appointment today, but I am absolutely thrilled with the care that I am receiving from this top-notch establishment. Every single member of this team is courteous, professional, compassionate, fun, and kind, all while delivering outstanding dental care at prices that easily make the travel worth it :) I live in Oakland, California, and came to this office with extensive work to be done, but will still make this my regular dentist office. I would (and will) recommend this office to anyone who asks for a recommendation! Ok, so I was still a little loopy when I posted before, so now I wanna really, REALLY share my experience. I've been in, what I call "dental distress" for years. Unable to afford dental insurance long enough for it to actually be a benefit, my mouth was in serious need to attention and love. I had no teeth on the upper right and the upper left was a mess with two rotting teeth. The lower left was not much better with one huge hole from another missing tooth. My speech had changed because of it and so had my eating--not so much what I ate but how, having to chew everything in front, I constantly cover my mouth. I had heard about Mexican dentistry and played with that idea for a llllllllooooooooong time. Well, I finally got the courage to at least make a phone call, after asking my sister (who lives in San Diego) if she knew anyone who did this, and I made the revel arrangements and an appointment. In the couple of weeks leading up to my appointment, I got skeptical reactions from everyone I told, but I just KNEW all would be well. And it was so much better than that! Number one: Woman CEO. And not JUST a woman CEO. A bad**s woman who walks around constantly, checking on patients, setting them at ease. She was the first dental professional EVER to tell me I have beautiful teeth (I'm crying again, typing this.) She runs an amazing organization with high standards, ethics and professionalism. Number Two: The entire staff from front desk all the way up to the CEO is wonderful beyond what is normally wonderful. Don't believe me? Ever have front desk staff come and ask if you're hungry because you've been there all day and they are totally willing to run and buy you lunch? (Happened twice!) How about staff that buy your antibiotics and ibuprofen because you didn't bring cash (I immediately paid him back of course!) Number Three: From the CEO, after consulting with the dentist about the bridge they had expedited from the lab so that I wouldn't have to go back: "Nope. It's not good enough. I'm sorry, Lisa, I just won't accept 90%." Number Four: My dentist's growling tummy. He was with me the entire time I was there, until he was done. I was hungry, but so was he. He stayed and worked on my temporary bridge until 6:15 -- the office closes at 6. Number Five: The entire staff is like a family to each other and you can feel the love and the fun. My dentist explained and taught his assistant the entire time and everyone was professional but having fun. Number Six: I have to talk about how easy they make getting to them. They pick you up right at the Mexican side of the border. I just called them before I started walking across the border and they were there within 5 minutes of my making it into Tijuana. When I was extra loopy after day one, they actually drove me to the US side in the medical only lane! I could keep going and i will in private messages if you have more questions. But I will close with: I have never felt more compassionately cared for ever. I came in for a simple procedure, Two front crowns 8,9. Per her advertising of advance equipment and 10minutes crowns On October 30th, per the initial consultation I was told my crowns require special layers and color. The crowns would require I wait no more than one week. I was assured;no room for error, per advance equipment. i agreed and paid! For temporary crowns she uses resin! Hard materials that are attached to your teeth making your teeth sensitive and fragile;these are the temporary provisional resin crowns. Very sensitive and difficult to eat with! One week pass I go for my promised state of the Art crowns; They were huge denture like square misshaped and color wise fake white! All bad, I was upset and refused the crowns, Dr. Cirenia then says she will send crowns back, I asked why she promised State of the Art Equipment and 10min crowns if she could not produce the crowns?! I have been traveling back and forth to no avail she continues to make excuses and Has not provided me with my crowns I am still wearing plastic teeth!! Painful and Sensitive!! Well it's been over One Month!!! She had yet to produce the crowns promised and during the removal of the resin crowns she damaged my other teeth! Refused to take responsibility for; I am in constant pain! I still have these fake resin crowns that need removal and she refuses to give me a date or even communicate with me my dental work! I have been taken advantage of! I have paid her a total sum of $900.00 and have no update on when my supposed crowns will be finished ! And she has caused a fracture to my neighboring tooth! She also has another practice in San Diego and goes by another name! Dr.Serena Kurt! Her prices are even cheaper in San Diego!!! I spent 3N/4daysDay1: I was pick up by their Driver Salvador at the border crossing and drove me to their clinic. Receptionist are cheerful and very welcoming and this are the reason for giving them a 2 star the other star is for the dentist. I was first seen by Charlie/ Carlos and he asked me what I want and I told them that I want a Digital dentures for it's review states it gives a better fitting . He did not answer me and he called a person higher than him and asked me the same question. They did not answer if what they are doing to me are digital dentures but since the clinic looks impressive I thought we understand each other. So they did a crown on one of my tooth which I think are satisfactory. Day 2: I was seen by another dentist he introduced himself as Dr. Cruz, I told him that my tooth is very sensitive on the base, he gave me a digital anesthesia block to check it, he injected the Anesthesia on the back of my lower jaw which unfortunately did not take, he keep on injecting more anesthesia to no avail since the tooth he is going to work-on is my canine tooth and eventually end up giving me a local infiltrative anesthesia where my canine tooth is. I noticed that the dentures he is fitting are missing 4 molar teeth , so I asked since on my first day I asked what's the difference between a $1000 dentures to. $1400 dentures and he told me it is from the extra molar teeth, he was trying to explain that they normally don't do it but since I want it exactly the same Number of teeth as my old dentures so on Day 3 this is all the problem start so badly, I am seen by another dentist which has a very little english ,, she did not introduce herself to me and starting to get rough on my mouth even when I say ouchie, so when they cant solve the looseness on my upper dentures, they did another impression and asked me to come back the next day presuming all be all good. She keeps on adjusting my chair without giving me a heads up . I am a medical provider and I always see to it that I update my patient on what's going on with them. Discuss the game plan and I asked them If they agree with the treatment plan. I n this clinic you feel at a lost since no-one tell you what are there treatment plan for you. Day 4: i was seen by the same lady dentist and the new mold of my dentures was fitted and they unable to solve the problem and they need to make another mold as a rush job since I am flying back home that day. Here are my other observation, they don't update you what's going on although you could sense that there's a problem. They continue conversing in Spanish with out anybody telling me what's going on but I can sense it ,they are having challenges with my dentures. Based on my research upper dentures is not hard to do because it creates its own vacuum and I don't know what they are doing wrong since I cant even talk without my new dentures falling down, the more if I bite something I think it will come out with the food. I am very disappointed. By the way on the TV screen in front of me are their clinic schedule with everyones demographics on it. In California this a HIPAA violation. The only service I can compliment now are the receptionist and the driver, Salvador who are nice always see to it that your stay comfortable Finally they are able to fix it right but unfortunately I miss my flight to Oakland. I hope this is an isolated experience but I am there for simple dentures and was wondering what other experience does people have that needs a more complicated situation. Update: I am on my second day with my new set of dentures, I cant eat anything solid due to multiple mouth sore and I develop a bruise on my lower jaw probably due to manipulation and hoping this will heal soon. This is an add on experience, I spoke too soon once I use my dentures it start hurting again and I need to come back after a week of agonizing mouth ulcer due to dentures irritation. I stayed 3D/2N they booked me a hotel at first that smell of roaches and other bugs. So I complained and they transfer me to a more acceptable hotel. Anyway my gums are still hurting and send them an email and asked me to take pictures but no reply from them even I did a f/u email Moral of the story not to believe those fake reviews and always consider that if you encounter problem with your dentures you need to cone back since there is no dentist wants to touch your dentures because of the risk that they might break it. For one my treatment plan wasn't created by a specialist but by a worker . I originally went to get a root canal but after being in there a few hours I wasn't going to let them do a work like that on my teeth . Thank God I listened to my mom . I decided to do a extraction and The lady had me in so pain trying to fit my flipper on my teeth .then she couldn't understand a word I was saying so it was so hard for me to talk to anyone there about the process . I was in so much pain asking for help while employees just walked by me like I was invisible . Don't get me wrong some of the staff are amazing but y'all I feel like they don't know what their doing . Please don't make the mistake I did. Those second thoughts you're having listen to it . You cross the border into the dingy chaos of Tijuana wondering WTF am I doing trusting a dentist in Mexico? Then you step through the doors of Trust Dental into another universe... This place is like the Star Trek of Dentistry with lazer guns, fancy machines and the nicest professional bi-lingual staff.... Nice is an understatement, these young Hispanic dentists are down right classy! You can't find this level of service in America, or the technology they have access to. They have cheufeurs to pick you up, everything is impeccably clean, you meds are delivered on the spot, and the male secretaries wear three piece suits. You pay a bit more than the hole in the wall dentist next door and it is worth every peso. I wouldn't listen to those 1-star whiny bitch reviews - Dude, this is a quarter of the cost of dental service in the States, you ungrateful sucker. Of course the initial exam costs a fee. Duh. They use ray guns for Christ's sake, and MRI scanners - that shit ain't cheap! I most definitely have respect for anyone who knows their limitations, and are not afraid to set boundaries. I will say that it's rude to avoid denying services by ignoring a potential future patient, but after reading the reviews I'll take it as a blessings, maybe that was God's way of protecting me lol or not. The receptionist didn't notify me or any of the other patients "Sorry guys we are super busy we will get to you soon" She did have enough time to chit chat with her coworkers.
