I got the cold brew coffee with a pump of vanilla and it was definitely a solid choice! They have lots of options for tea and coffee. The coffee shop is a joined along with a coworking space that you need to pay for during the weekday which includes wifi but can sit on the inside for free on the weekends. It's about $30 for day pass if you want to work here on the week day. I definitely see this as a place I would come to for the vibes rather than just for the coffee. It's located on the third floor so it doesn't feel as busy! read more

Really cool space -- coworking space mixed with a coffee shop. Great for hanging out or studying/working and has indoor and outdoor options. Try is my favorite spot for coffee in Honolulu. I was smitten after the first visit. The seating area is an excellent mixture of chill simplicity with just enough eclectic artwork and decor to keep it interesting. They lovingly deliver your coffee and communicate clearly. Their menu is straightforward, and they keep it updated regularly. I always order an espresso for my first drink and usually a matcha for my second. Try coffee is neat little spot in Ward (3rd floor), inside of Boxjelly, behind piggy smalls. I usually go on the weekends where the inside area and the outdoor patio are both available for seating but during the weekdays the inside area is like a co-op workspace. It's a fun spot. The outside patio is a great spot to chill and enjoy your drink. I usually get an Americano or Latte but TK is super friendly barista that is incredibly knowledgeable so he can definitely help ya find something to your liking. There's some baked goods and premade meals as well that look tasty. They also source beans from all over for purchase. I think they plan to source and roast their own beans soon as well. read more

This was our first visit to Try Coffee, a new venue. Located in the Ward Center, at the end of the 2nd floor next to where Ryan's used to be ... "TK" (owner) is an expert / longtime barista and coffee bean roaster so can totally trust his recommendations. Its ambience is relaxing, indoor/outdoor seating, patrons able to work with laptops (box jelly?), Spacious and clean. Until Hawaiian selection of coffees are secured, TK recommended a Honduras coffee. It was a "pour over" and we take our coffee black. Taste was really wonderful... so rich and smooth! We also enjoyed their BLT sandwich. It was Panini-style, included either mild sauerkraut or mild pickled cabbage. Sooo good! Will return to experience more coffee, sandwiches and bagels. Need a quick pick me up? Try Coffee, ba dum tss! My sister had found this place on Tiktok so we had to see what the rave was about. Parked on the third floor of the parking garage and took us straight to the cafe, as said on their website. Super easy to find I don't know why people on here think it's difficult (rolls eyes). Anyways, the design and environment was what caught my attention! I see myself coming back to get some work done, I focus best in these kinds of settings. You have to see it for yourself, you won't be disappointed. I'm not sure how true this info is, but I think there are private rooms available to rent for meetings and such. Coffee wise, I thought it tasted like a normal latte. Nothing new nothing surprising, just enough for my satisfaction! I ordered an iced vanilla macnut latte and my sister ordered an iced mocha. Our drinks came out pretty quick for only one guy working! We enjoyed our drinks for a bit outside to allow others to use the indoor seating if needed. We took our drinks to go but there is an outdoor seating area in which I would feel very comfortable to sit down during covid since it looks like the management is being responsible and proactive in considering safe practices for staff, customers, and the community. I searched for this place because someone recommended their coffee. However, upon entering the coffee shop, I was told they were closed today. It was odd - there were patrons inside and out, drinking coffee. There was no indication on their doorfront, or website, which I looked up before making my way here. Perhaps it was a last minute "closure" due to an undisclosed reason. At any rate, very disappointing first attempt. We stood outside just looking in the place since it's at the end of the hall. A guy waved to us in a friendly manner assuming it's the baristas friend or someone getting off his shift. My dad asked if we can just look around inside. They both said yes and we did. It was nice with funny looking taxidermy sheep. I noticed a chess game on the table and wanted to play for a short bit. As I draw my first move, the barista just rudely told us to basically buy their coffee or leave. We both didn't feel comfortable hanging around and left. Had to switch to decaf recently and Try Coffee really came through with the best decaf I've ever tasted in a pour over or americano, by far, not over-roasted like nearly every decaf in the world is, but bright and fruity...I actually doubted it was decaf and had to double check. Also tried an oat milk latte with decaf espresso recently and even though decaf lattes usually taste pretty rough, this one was delicious. It brightens my day to know I can get a proper placebo effect now :) I've started buying beans from this shop because their choices are so point. read more

I visited Try Coffee to support a local small business and grab a cup of coffee. When I walked in I was not greeted with aloha or Hi but confronted abruptly by an employee demanding to see my vaccination card. I was so confused because the mandate does not begin until 9/13 so I do not feel the need to carry it everywhere I go. I told them I was vaccinated and had pictures on my phone only to be turned away. Its unbelievable the lack of aloha and basic respect I received the second I walked through the doors. I would not recommend this place to anyone for this reason as well as they had a very small selection compared to some of the more well known coffee places in town. read more

Very high quality coffee! I got a plain manual coffee choices between Ethiopian, Papua New Guniea, and Peru. I chose the Papua New Guniea for the sweeter tones and my husband got an Americano. They were both really good, the space is very cute too I'm so happy we found this place! read more

Stumbled upon this place today while waiting for my take out at Kamitoku Ramen. Before you enter, scan the code and sign in. I was greeted by the barista and ordered a matcha tea latte with soy. I'm super in love with the whole set up. It is super spacious and nice breezy outdoor seating. It makes me wish I was back in school (not really). I wish I could take my work monitors and do my work here instead of being at home too. It's also super quiet...I brought my baby in here and he fell asleep because of the noise level. read more

First time I visited was during Covid coffee was..... not good. Bitter and burnt. Had great company and the sun wasn't beaming so we had a quick chat, was out in less than an hour. Second visit was August 2022 and I was so uncomfortable and felt like I did not belong. My coworkers had already been there "meeting " on the patio for at least an hour before my arrival. They were on the patio in direct sunlight. So I circled back inside to find a hint of shade and settle. Well the employees were not kind at all. in summary they told me to make a purchase or leave. I could not sit near or at the counter or stand inside the building. I pointed to my colleagues to show purchases were made and that I had just arrived and my intention is to purchase. But after this encounter, I returned to my colleagues, shared the rules with them, and we packed our things and left. Our group spent $40 and the coffee was still bitter and burnt. I was the only one in my party they asked to make a purchase and I was the only one they mentioned the time limit to. read more

Nice place simple menu. Thought it would be good place get out of the house and do some work. It is if you pay. The only free seating is outside in the sun where I can barely see my screen to write this review. Need umbrellas or something. Cold drinks will not last out here. Memberships to the choice areas and use of facilities and equipment are $275 to $1200 per month. Maybe as business grows. Still not bad considering office rents. read more

This place is perfect if you are pretentious. If so, this is the place for you. This is a pay by the day/month workspace masquerading as a coffee shop. The coffee is mediocre and there's no food. They have a nice view. If you're just looking to sit and admire a view and drink ok coffee then you may enjoy this place. You can not access wifi unless you pay money, after you already paid way too much for coffee and then another $4 for a small baby muffin with no taste. I just did not feel welcomed at all as "just" a coffee patron. I felt uncomfortable being told I could only sit in a certain area because the other space is the workspace. My whole experience was awkward and I really just could not wait to finish my "cold" cup of hot coffee and leave. read more
