Really loved the vibe of this place and the fact that SO many others love it added to it! They had so many food options at a price point I'm super familiar with thanks to living in San Francisco so it seemed reasonable to me. I got the Pad See Ew with chicken and it was really tasty. Incredible hangover food! It's a bit cold inside but overall wonderful staff and really clean!

The street parking was pretty manageable. Bring coins or text to pay! I love this Thai spot. The chicken satay is so original & has lots of spices. Panang curry is very flavorful and the chicken is good. I did level 4 & I can eat level 7 for sure! My boyfriend ordered Thai basil with chicken and he loved it too. We also ordered string beans with garlic and it was so good but a bit oily. The music is gentle and calming. I like the area too. I'll definitely come back again when I'm in the area.

I absolutely loved this place!!! From start to finish, everything about this experience was amazing, and it's officially my go-to spot for Thai food anytime I'm in Beverly Hills. Our waitress, Smile, was soooo sweet and attentive, she truly made the whole night feel special. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and the experience she provides! Now let's talk about the FOOD... because wow. Everything we ordered was straight up bomb. I started with the lychee martini (10/10, so refreshing), then we had the satay chicken appetizer which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. For mains, the pad see ew with beef was sooo good--super savory and satisfying. But the real standout was the southern curry with chicken. They told us it's a family recipe passed down for generations and you can absolutely taste the love in it. It was rich, comforting, and honestly a must-try like they recommend! The ambiance inside is such a vibe too! It feels a little upscale with dim lighting, warm tones, good music, cozy seating, and a cute, intimate setup that makes it perfect dinner spot. Everything was just chef's kiss. I will 100% be back every time I'm in the area.

Amazing Thai food with fresh ingredients and great flavors. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was clean, cozy, and welcoming. Everything came out quickly, and I had a great experience. Highly recommend!

More relaxing than their new sister restaurant on Sawtelle. The dim low lighting & softer music helped. Even made cozier with the lowered ceiling. A similar warm welcoming appeared at the entrance. Wish I had stuck to spicy level 2. Sniffling prevented me from fully enjoying the food! Hooked on the vegan papaya salad. The bright citrusy notes remain refreshing. The portion size seemed larger than the Sawtelle branch. However maybe because it was on the DINE LA menu then. Being a UCLA grad the UCLA vegan curry was irresistable though a bit pricey. Probably most expensive veg curry ever. A tad too sweet for my taste. Disappointed there were not more veggies/pumpkin in it. Would have been happier if there were more chunky veggies inside the curry. Will stretch it for my work dinners this week by adding other cooked veggies. Minor detail, was not asked what type of rice I preferred. No thanks to the crunchy white rice. Would have liked brown rice instead.

Good food with nice service. A little too over the top in terms of asking if everything is good. The decorations were very elaborate and the seats were comfortable.

Hadn't been here for some time. I really like their Pad See Ew. But their portions are much smaller than before.

They have a large selection of menu items, and it gets busy during dinnertime. If visiting soley for the food, I would suggest coming for lunch because there's less of a wait - otherwise the restaurant's evening ambiance seems fitting for a date night/celebration. The curries were good, and the pad thai was sweeter than my personal preference. I enjoyed the chicken dishes more than the beef, which was a bit chewy. There is only street parking.

This place is great!!! I am still thinking of how delicious this place was over all yummmy The service was awesome very kind and welcoming The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful elegant and great for groups or a intimate dinner for 2-4 Over all 5 stars can't wait to go back

Came in with a very large party of 25 people, got seated quickly and so kind in their accommodations. Constantly checked in on everyone, service was great. Ordered the chicken pad thai and it was delicious. Portion was great. Decor and ambiance is beautiful. I will be back here as a regular happy hour customer during my time in LA!

Guess who's coming back? And again... and again very welcoming and attentive. I came here after trying their green curry at a Yelp event and absolutely love it! Decided to try one of my favorite Thai soups, the Tom Yum seafood. A bit on the sweeter side here, but absolutely bursting with flavor! I'll be back for their awesome lunch specials

quick notes: -bring a jacket! it's very cold inside -if you like spicy, order above level 5 -slightly more expensive than the other thai places in the area small hole in the wall place, but very tasty with large portions. the pad thai was very good but i wish it included more egg as there was little to none. otherwise, i would recommend!

Emporium Thai piqued my interest. Ordered the following for lunch: 1. Pad See Ew Chicken comes with one Egg Roll for Dine In Lunch 5/5 2. Phuket Wings 3/5 Overall, I loved the Pad See Ew. Very tasty and flavorful. Ingredients were quality. John was super nice and picked up my phone when it dropped. Phuket Wings was just okay. I wish there was more kick to it instead of curry flavor.

Not sure the tables are very close to each others.

The regular menu is quite expensive with the cheapest at $17 for appetizer and salad options and most expensive at a whooping $80. The lunch menu was more affordable but still on the pricey side $21-$32 with add on options. The waitress was taking our orders and what surprised me was with my co-worker ordered the pad see ew and the waitress asked her how spicy she wants it. I was aw shocked. I'm not a Thai food expert but I do know pad see ew is a noodles dish that's offers a sweet soy sauce flavor. Never served spicy. I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I'm not sure how this restaurant can justify the prices with the quality they are serving. Probably won't be back. Service was mediocre. Didn't offer to refill our waters. I went close to closing so the staff could only offer me takeout, which was fine. They were friendly both over the phone and in-person when I picked up my order. I felt like I came to eat and my mom's house. They take Debit Card and Apple Pay WITH a pin only. I forgot my wallet and paid with Apple Pay. It did not have a place for tip which made me feel awful. At the end I apologized and she was like "it's ok, next time." And she was genuinely fine with it. She reassured me not to worry about it. So I'm determined to come back to tip her because if anybody deserved a tip it was her. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu- I like to order peanut sauce on the side and the woman found it interesting and struck a non judgmental conversion about it. I could really tell she was genuinely curious. This was my favorite dish. It was good. I also ordered spicy fried rice with tofu and spicy panang curry with vegetables. I chose 4 out of a 6 for spicy and it was not spicy at all for me. The rice was fine, nothing extraordinary and nothing bad. The panang curry was yummy. I don't know if it's regional but it was very light in taste and light in thickness. BUT I enjoyed it for what it was. Felt like I had gotten home made chicken soup or something like that comforting and not overly processed. Maybe it's because I ordered it with no protein and just vegetables. I ordered a lot of food so I explained to her that I was going to eat some and take the rest to go. When she brought the food she brought it nicely packed without a bag. She also brought me a real plate and utensils to eat here. She let me know that when I was ready she'd bring a bag which I thought was thoughtful. She also made sure to say "take your time, no need to rush. We close at 8" and it was 5pm. Again, it felt genuinely nurturing, she wanted to make sure I felt taken care of and welcomed. It meant a lot because I was frazzled from forgetting my wallet and from having a hard day at work. This was my first time here and it won't be my last. There is a small lot on site. Both dishes were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Honestly, I wish we had more time because we had another appointment downtown. I would have loved to try more dishes and definitely dessert! Our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He checked on us at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. The service was as impressive as the food. The restaurant has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful ceramic water cups with bird designs--they were so unique and charming. Even the water tasted wonderful! I'm thrilled that Au Lac is still thriving after all these years. If anything, the food tasted even better than I remembered. I certainly won't wait another 12 years before coming back. In fact, I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to come with me next Saturday for dinner! I've tried many vegan restaurants over the years, and Au Lac remains my absolute favorite. We let them know that we had a show to go to and to just bring the food as it was ready. It took 45 minutes for our first dish to arrive. INSANE, WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY AND DEAD. Then we heard the Asian waiter telling off the other table next to us who was also going to the same show at Walt Disney Concert Hall. They came earlier than us, ordered first and still didn't even get their dishes before us. They told him to take it off the bill if the food didn't come in time since they didn't have time to eat it. I was shocked to hear the rude waiter telling that table "You should have told us that you were going to a show and that you were in a hurry".. This was the first time I tipped 15% in YEARS and I wish I tipped nothing. We asked for bags since they just gave us boxes and then as we left He had the AUDACITY TO SAY "JUST SO YOU KNOW, WE'RE NOT A FAST PACED CASUAL RESTAURANT" IT'S INSANE THAT YOU GUYS CANT EVEN DO LUNCH ON AN EMPTY SUNDAY WITHIN 2 HOURS. Go here, if you have nothing to do and want to get treated like garbage. I will never go here ever again. Maybe they just get business since this is the only vegan option in the area. Thank you for ruining a lovely Sunday afternoon because we couldn't even enjoy the show, all I could remember was how rude and smug that Asian waiter was. Please close this business.
