Majority of my life is in tracy so when something more exotic (this is exotic to me because of our choices comparing to places in the bay area) it's very refreshing to have more choices. Although this being a fried chicken joint, this one is is in a higher tier in its respective category than say: wingstop, wing yard, Buffalo wild wings, KFC, and pop eyes. You are paying at a higher price which imho is well worth it, if you understand how meticulously they made their process. Although, I would go particularly if I'm in the mood for something "really" good. Customer service, so far, has been solid. Not much to say here. If you are going to bring your date here, make sure they are not self conscious about themselves because if you order the fried chicken that bathes the wing or drum in the sauce, you are likely going to be end up messy with sticky fingers. Chicken is like not well defrosted. Very bland meat. Regular fried chicken is still spicy don't bother getting it for younger kids.

High quality chicken and other Korean dishes. I would say the chicken is almost on par with Bon Chon (i like the skin at Bon Chon better) while the other dishes are better (TBG's teokboki and japchae are way better). It's pretty spicy as well and the portions are fantastic. I wasn't aware that this was also a chain, but it's a welcome relief in the Tracy area which skews more on the fast food side. read more

Finally an actual chicken and beer place other than Bonchon franchise. They just opened not too long ago and still have the grand opening sign up! They actually have original fried chicken which is double fried to perfection. Interior is clean and looks like a really chill place to hang out at night. They have self service station if you are self conscious about ordering, especially since there's a all the ingredients taste fresh because I can even see the ahjummas in the back cutting vegetables. I did however regret getting the chicken salad haha. I didn't know what I expected but it was just mixed greens with chicken and cherry tomatoes lol for $13.99 the dduk bok gi was good and had plenty of fish cake and veggies inside. The fried calamari were fried squid rings. Crispy and tasty! Fried chicken I saved for my to go order because I got to have some beer with fried chicken come on! Be responsible and don't drink and drive, bring it home to dine and drink instead! The parking lot outside is a little small but big enough to comfortably find parking. The entire staff are mostly Korean so you can know it's authentic made! So good!! This is my first time trying korean food in Tracy and I'm pleasantly surprised. Coming from the Bay I've tasted good korean food and this place does not disappoint. Inside its a nice and clean space and the service is very friendly. They also have a self ordering kiosk which I find really helpful so I can take my time looking at the entire menu. I had the bulgogi combo and the tteok and sausage skewers which were so good!!!! Coming back for the skewers and the affordable price for a nice portion. Hope to see more come here! read more

The soup I ordered was just amazing, gotta love rice cakes in a spicy broth! The chicken on the other hand, while I appreciate it being piping hot and thoroughly cooked when I received it, lacked all flavor and was a horrible selection of chicken legs with lots of cartlidge pieces in every other bite. The kimchi side i ordered was just mediocre tasting as though it came out of a can, it had no spice to it and didn't taste fresh. I went here hoping for a good experience but was disappointed to say the least. I hope they get better but till then my meal was not worth even half my $40+ bill. read more

I've only ordered over the phone and gotten take out, which my mom picked up. I love the Korean chicken concept, and maybe next time I'll try to dine in if that option is available. For the #3 full order combo, it was a mix of drums and wings, but for $30, I thought it would be a bigger box and larger pieces. So I'm not really sold yet. Taste is good, but Von's and Bonchon are less pricey. They just aren't in Tracy, so this place has to do. Side note: with inflation, I don't know if Von's or Bonchon have raised prices yet. I think overall I have to start making my own Korean fried chicken--Maangchi on YouTube has a great video on this and she's the cutest thing to watch. read more

This was the 2nd time my wife and I dined in. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. We ordered the full order extra crispy chicken again, kimchee, japchae noodles, and Thai ice tea for my wife. Chicken is crispy and not dry, kimchee and japchae noodles are very flavorful. Only wish they served a larger amount of the noodles for the price. The free fries with your order when dining in are yummy too. The first time we tried this place my father ordered a whole chicken, which surprised us that it was the size of a game hen thought it would be larger. We also had ordered just wings (flats only) no drums but when we received our order we had flats and drums. We tried to tell the lady but not sure if she understood what we meant by just flats. Ordered the food at 5:16pm through the kiosk. Checked my watch.... 5:50pm... Alright maybe it's not ready because it was a big order. I finally asked my son to check in to see the status at 6:05pm. They scrambled and found out they gave my order to someone else who ordered after me. I don't think they checked who was picking up the order to see it's the right one. Finally left at 6:30 pm. We absolutely love the food here. Everything we've had is amazing. We especially love the Spicy Pork combo--it's delicious! And the Gochu Mayo chicken strips are divine! The coating is thin, crumbly, and tasty, and the Gochujang mayo is the perfect complement for sweet and spicy. Sides are good too--the coleslaw is perfectly creamy with the right amount of crunch. We've tried most of the chicken flavors and haven't found one we haven't liked yet. So glad that Tto Bong Ee landed in Tracy. Restaurant is cool, clean and chic inside and the owner is super friendly too. It's our new weekend go-to spot for dinner and a movie at home. read more
