What a great place, with a fantastic staff. The food is excellent-try the steak fajitas-best I've ever had. It's a different kind of preparation than anything I have had before. Chunks of shell steak in a red sauce-delicious. The decor is awesome with lots of cool murals painted on the walls. They also have excellent Italian food, and some of the best pizza in the area. The Mexican food here isn't exactly "authentic" but it is still decent and price/portion ration is pretty good too. The drinks are very yummy, had a very nice margarita. It wasn't fresh made but it wasn't overly sweet either. They start you off with delicious chips and pico de gallo and then, before your entree they serve a lovely little quesadilla as a starter . As I said, portions are generous so the extra little appetizers aren't necessary but a very nice welcoming touch The kicker that gives this four stars over three was the little churro with a scoop of vanilla ice cream they served us once our meal was over. It was delightful and just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal. I will order a real dessert next time I go though, just to be able to see what they are like. Service was very warm and friendly, made me feel very welcome and in my opinion, makes food that is just average sooo much better. I want to keep this restaurant a secret but the servers were so lovely, I have to share for their sake... AND for the great kitchen staff.....AND for the owner who created this Mexican gem... AND anyone else who makes this place run! The outdoor seating is NOT surrounded by trees or landscaped greenery but REALITY CHECK - is just a few feet away from the road. When the hearty portions of authentic Mexican dishes arrive however, this becomes an oversight easily forgotten. The decor outside is 'fun and hokey', and go hand in hand with Marco strumming his guitar as he crooned familiar, corny Mexican songs to us. We had a blast with him (please tip Marco well if he comes your way) and for added festivity Marco added his karaoke machine so other patrons could attempt to sing :) The service was great, pitchers of Margaritas were very affordable, and salsa with chips flowed freely. I had the shrimp and crabmeat ceviche which was overly dressed in lime juice, but I would definitely order it again - just requesting half the juice. I hesitate to write this review as I selfishly don't want this place discovered. The food is great the prices reasonable. The service is amazing and friendly. They bring you a free tequila taster after dinner. It's all so good. Only complaint and it is minor. In the summer when crowded, it's warm. Dress light. I expected them to at least make their own tortillas but now I got a hard shell American style taco not anything like Mexican style taco I've ever eaten plus the food was ice cold that I was given... not impressed. Wow. Awesome, authentic Mexican food. This place was a complete surprise to me. It's located in a semi-residential area at the end of a tiny strip mall that looks a little ratty from the outside. But the food... OMG. it's just superb. The Mexican place I usually frequent has gone downhill a bit under new ownership so I think this might be my new fav for Mexican in Rockland County (Note: Apparently they have an Italian menu as well). The vegetarian platter is to die for. It has a bean burrito, cheese enchilada, and guacamole tostado with rice and beans. Everything is fresh and delicious. The red sauce on the enchilada is incredible. This is Mexican food on par with what I usually can only find in Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern CA... What a cool idea! This little restaurant is divided in 2. Left side Italian right Mexican. The sign on the Mexican side advertised Tequila Bar! We ordered take out this night. We were able to call 1 number and order from both places. Food was packed up in one huge box for us. Portions were decent and everyone enjoyed what their meal. This is a key spot now and we will be ordering from them a lot more often when in the area. Probably gonna hit that tequila bar too. read more

The Mexican food is hit and miss. The flautas are wonderful. Anything with a red sauce on it (like enchiladas) is a little strange. The red sauce tastes like they took the marinara from the Italian menu and threw in some cumin. Very odd flavor. Not the best, but certainly not the worst Mexican food I've had. Wish I could say the same about the pizza. Easily the worst pizza I've had in a long time. Bland crust, bland sauce and that fake, slimy texture cheese. My 22 yo son who will usually eat anything only had one slice and then moved on to the garlic knots which were good. The Mexican menu gets 3 1/2-4 stars, the pizza gets one star. I'd give them an overall 3 1/2 star rating. They do deliver, which is handy. read more

I have been going here for years. But the last 3 times in the area I have brought my co workers. So usually a table of 2 to 4 people. All agree that this place is a great must visit when in the area. The food is great and like all say, starts with Chips & Salsa and a nice warm Quesadilla. The main meals; perfect cooked steak to order, pollo Mexicana or Ernesto and fresh vegetables. All wonderful and a nice finish with the offer of a shot of tequila and a banana desert. The service is by far the best. We are always greeted and treated like family. Excellent food and services they give chips salsa and quesadilla. The food and delicious cooked really well and tasty seasoning. The guacamole is awesome have to try it. Four stars! I've never had the Mexican, but I love the fact that this pizza place is in Blauvelt and has managed to stay open unlike many other pizza establishments. Their pizza is pretty darn good! I like the Margherita pie and the plain is good as well. I wish their crust was just a bit crispier, but we all have different taste. Their sauce is pretty good. I remember I once needed food during some sort of storm (Sandy? Blizzard? Can't recall) and they were the only ones open. That made me happy. I might change this to five stars after I try the Mexican. I like the way the Mexican side is decorated, as well. read more
