This was my first lunch at this popular East Boca Coal fired pizza restaurant. It's located on a side street off East Palmetto Park Road a block walk from Mizner Park Plaza. There is a small parking lot, off street free parking, and a City operated metered parking lot less than a block away. Seats about 40 inside, outside covered patio tables for about 15. It's moderately priced, has an extensive craft beer menu, limited wines, and is frequently by many locals, who clearly love it. FOOD: Started with an Italian salad (well priced at $10.95) more than large enough for two (or even three) to share. Our waiter was FRANKI, and he was attentive, polite, not grumpy, came to the table 3x after delivery good to ensure everything was good. Spoke with manager STEVE, who clearly was overseeing the flow at Tucci's. He welcomed us, knowing we were not regulars, checked in to ensure all was good. CLEANLINESS: it's immaculate. (I'm really observant). We observed tables consistently being wiped down with a cleaning fluid. The bathroom was spotless, no odors, soap, paper towels and hot water (I abhor bathrooms with only cold water - my peeve). I was shocked to read some of the other positive reviews. My experience here was terrible. They advertise that the "flavor is in the char" which means essentially burning the crust (look at the pictures posted.) It was not good. In addition the service was really bad. Our pizzas did not come out at the same time and the waitress simply wasn't paying attention or particularity friendly. I live in the neighborhood and shared my experience with friends (being surprised after reading the good reviews.) Apparently the owner, Al, and the staff do not have a very good reputation in the community. As you can see from the bad reviews on here, they don't handle complaints or problems well. The staff is known to be rude and even shady. I would advise avoiding this place if possible. read more

Great little place for some excellent coal Fired Pizza! Friends of ours told us about this place several years ago and we still keep coming back because the service & food is always so good. We usually starts things off with their garlic bread, Italian salad, and their amazing meatballs! I can literally just come to Tucci's for these 3 things only and I would be happy because they are so good! Their pizza is great and has that great char flavor in the crust when you take a bite! I normally get the spicy sausage & hot peppers as my toppings as I like things with a nice kick. Great place for dinner for two or to meet up with friends or to bring the family. So my buddy and I went here because we were working down in Lantana for a month and we are both fans of pizza and Dave Portnoy. So we decided to see what pizza places he had reviewed in the area. Found the review for Tucci's and we had to check it out. It's was about a 25 min so 50 min total drive time. Completely worth it! We got the plain cheese pizza togo very one bite style took it out front and tried it. Man this pizza rips honestly one of the best slices I have every had. It's not NY style it's not Neapolitan, it's something uniquely between them. The cheese was so fresh and light the sauce was bursting with flavor I could taste the notes of the tomatoes and the olive oil used. The crust is light and crispy. Overall it did not feel like the typical heavy pizza. You didn't feel weighty after eating it like your chain places. I think Dave gave it a score in the 7s but for me this is 9.6. I liked it so much I drove back and got a whole other pie just for myself. Completely worth the trip and every penny. The second pie was with meatballs which were phenomenal in their own right. The staff was friendly, and they had the pizza done pretty quickly. The place does has some in restaurant full service I am sure it's great but plenty happy with the to go. Hands-down the best five cheese pizza I've ever had. Instead of doing what most places do (having all the cheeses shredded and blended together and subsequently melted into one homogenous blob), they craft the pizza with each cheese in its optimal state. Meaning, the ricotta is spread on the bottom, the Parmesan is grated on top, etc. You can see what I mean in the photo. Visited with the family after the boca art festival today. While there was a nice crowd, we were seated right away and the service was uber attentive! One of the guys even brought our daughter crayons and paper! The mozzarella salad was large and delicious and the chump pizza was amazing!!! Great food, excellent service and reasonably priced. We will be back!! And we were! We have been coming here for their chump pizza and are consistently pleased with such a well crafted pie. The service is also consistently very good no matter how busy they are. They also play some really good music! Today, along with the chump, we ordered a salad with grilled chicken, goat cheese, walnuts, and cranberries. It was perfectly tossed in a light dressing- excellent! Will be getting that again too. I have never had to do this on Yelp yet but I feel the need because of the drastic difference in food since my last visit two years ago. I moved about 50 miles away and have been wanting to come back because this place was a staple for my family when we wanted good Italian food. I don't know if ownership has changed but the pizza is a joke compared to the previous quality. I could tell after the first bite that they changed their ingredients and even so the lower quality fresh mozzarella was almost nonexistent. The sauce looks like plain Hunts brand; gone are the chunks of tomato and seasoning. How they managed to burn the thin layer of cheese without getting any char on the crust is beyond me. Ok so Ive reviewed before with 5 stars but had to make another comments about these guys. I was in the hospital for 5 days and my wife placed a take out order from Tuccis. They told her 45 mins which sounded longer than normal but ok. She picks it up and brings it to me in the hospital. (I had a Tuccis craving). Unfortunately when we started to eat, the pizza was cold and they forgot the side salad that comes with the bliss chicken (my favorite) and she wasn't about to leave the hospital and go back at 9 at night, my wife being Irish was pissed and called the store and spoke with someone to let them know. Next day they refunded the whole order. They didn't have to do that but it just shows you how first class they are. Been there about 50 times and will go back more than that. Best place, best people! Great food and atmosphere! The meatballs are amazing, they just melt in your mouth. My fiancé and I went with the classic cheese pizza for our main course, which did not disappoint. Ordered takeout/Togo , We got there a little early so we asked if we could sit down...we got a drink until order was ready...when we got our food we still had some time to eat it fast before leaving for airport the server or other employee Personnel gave us the pizza and told us we could not eat it in the pizzeria.....said "it's not fair for the server due to tips" ....both my uncle and I agreed and told the employee that we would leave a tip...the employee told us we still had to leave....running a business isn't easy but be respectful to all customers. They have a selection of appetizers which I highly recommend. Everything I tried there was delicious. Without a doubt, the best pizza in South Florida. The sauce tastes as if the tomatoes were hand picked from a garden in the back. Slightly sweet in flavor and very fresh.
