Enjoyed an excellent dinner this evening at this establishment. We went at about 5:30 on a Sunday and we were able to sit outside. Which always adds points for my girlfriend. The menu isn't the biggest but it has enough for every pallet and a good choice of daily specials. They also have a descent beer selection. We had the prime rib sandwich and the pot roast sandwich. My girlfriend really enjoyed her sandwich. However it was supposed to come with Swiss cheese, and it was definitely not in the sandwich. It was still good enough not to complain however. Her side was the green beans with red peppers. Which seemed crisp and fresh. I had the small house salad with ranch dressing. The size of the salad was perfect and the dressing was to die for. Next for me came the pot roast sandwich. Which had some cranberry mixes in with a heavy like sauce. The meat was pulled as if it were pulled pork. I had a side of fried which were excellent. The sandwich came with a side of gravy which really brought the meal together. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. read more

I ordered a takeout meal on Thanksgiving day. It was ready for pickup precisely when I was told it would be. And my 3 course meal was wonderful! I chose a Caesar salad, the turkey dinner, and chocolate silk pie for dessert. Everything was perfect, nicely flavored, warm enough to eat right away and generous portion. I have eaten here often. Not sure what happened to this place, but down hill since the renovations. This was always a go to place- warm, comforting environment, good food. Well they have lost one of the most important features that makes a restaurant and that's the good food! Portions have gotten smaller, which isn't a big loss in most cases. The seasoning is lacking or non existent. Literally no salt and pepper on anything! The kids didn't even like the battered chicken tenders- which was quite the bummer. The 22oz prime rib ( looked more like a 12-16oz) was overpriced at $40! The waitress was fantastic and more than accommodating. She was the reason I gave the 2 stars instead of less. This was on my list of restaurants to visit during our stay in the White Mountain Region in NH.. We were glad we went!!! On our first visit we were not looking for a hefty meal but for lighter choices; we both started with a cup of their delicious New England clam chowder.. the day was cold and dreary and it was just what we needed!!! The soups were steamy hot, creamy full of clams with a slight hint of bacon, absolutely wholesome!!! My husband ordered a Caesar Salad with salmon and I ordered one of their specialty sandwiches, the Prime Rib Telera, both choices were well presented and prepared. On our second visit we took advantage of their Tuesday Prime Rib Meal Special, two 12oz prime rib meals with a shared dessert for $28! This restaurant as many others we encountered in the area is a farm to table kind of place and the meat was one of the best tasting we had in a while!! We arrived around 5:30pm and were seated promptly. Our server was sufficient nothing bad to say but not over the top either. The place was very busy on a Monday night; but that is expected in the summer. Our drinks and appetizers arrived and were delicious! For my entree I selected the cranberry pot roast the flavor was superb. Hubby got the chicken sandwich and indicated it was very good. Our friends got the meatloaf and found it to be moist and tasty. My wife and I were up for the weekend. After eating at Tuckerman's (food was great), our car battery had died. The gentleman at the front (possibly the owner though I did not catch his name) was tremendous. He offered to jump start our car and was otherwise very kind to us throughout. Went to tuckermans restaurant last night for dinner... what a great experience from the hostess at the front to our amazing waitress Lindsey and the food was AMAZING!!! We were greeted with a friendly smile from the start and Lindsey our waitress was right on ... she was friendly attentive great st her job ... then the food and drinks everything was top notch we had great margaritas to start and the salad were fresh with homemade salad dressing ... Our entrees were prime rib and meatloaf the flavor for both were outstanding... then we topped it off with a delicious warm brownie sundae... the whole experience was amazing ... so don't miss out on this great restaurant you will not be disappointed!!!!! read more

We walked in the first thing, everyone at the host station was super nice and seemed so happy we were there. It was a great welcome compared to other places we had been to in the area. The bar is huge and wraps around. We sat at a table so we could see the bruins game. They were very accommodating towards the fact that we wanted to see the game. Food was great, we had the clam special for an app and the nachos and chicken pasta for dinner. The pasta was amazing my boyfriend said. The waitress was super friendly. After we cashed out we sat at the bar to finish watching the game and grab a beer. All the bartenders were great and didn't hurry anyone out as we were all watching the bruins win. read more

Hands down the BEST food in the area. It was our second time staying in the North Conway area and a good majority of the restaurants have been sub par boring bar food. The menu, staff, and food at Tuckerman's was nothing short of great. The hostess was a vibrant woman who made you not mind waiting. Our waitress Lindsey was awesome! Answered every question we had, checked in on us at the right times, and gave her honest opinion with selections. She was on point to say the least. We shared the cornbread skillet which was tasty. The veal porterhouse was cooked perfect! Again, best dish in the area. The drinks we on point too! Especially the Habanero Margarita. All in all it was a great experience which we'll be doing again. Great French onion soup, I didn't want a "full meal" so we had potatoes skins which were great & i had the soup, my husband is not a burger guy but said it was the best burger, was delish. Prices were great. Only drawback was we wished the skins came out before the meal. Service was fast & friendly. Prices within reason. Will recommend to others who love the N Conway area. read more

Tuckerman's restaurant and tavern had a relaxing atmosphere with wonderful food and service! My fiancé and I were up in the White mountains for a weekend getaway and all the restaurants we went to had an hour or more wait. Which wouldn't be a problem if there was actually a place to stand and wait. We finally found Tuckerman's, which has a large waiting area with plenty of seating. The waitress was quick and attentive and despite the restaurant being very full our food and drinks came out very quickly! Prime rib and steak tips were amazing! As well as the loaded nachos, which were a great deal for the price! We will be coming again next trip to the area! read more

The dining room is absolutely stunning. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we found that the wait at Delayney's Hole in the Wall was over an hour... and I'm glad we found it! The food was so delicious. I ordered the jumbo lobster roll (only $24 can't argue that!!) that was a special. My boyfriend ordered the center cut filet and it was amazing. The service was ehh. We just waited in line for over half an hour just to talk to the hostess and put our name in and they told us it was going to be a 2 hour wait and to try somewhere else. We did have a large party but tried calling and emailing days in advance to make a reservation and they didn't answer their phone or return our email. I don't know why we couldn't just put our name in when we got there because they have a texting system for when your tables ready. The whole system for waiting in line does not make sense and we just wasted so much time that we could've spent somewhere else if there was better communication. read more

Service~Classic bar fare. We were sat promptly and had a great server. He was fast, attentive to our table of eight, was great with the kids, and the highlight of dinner. Food~Unfortunately the food was mediocre and two of our dinners were almost inedible. Our burgers were over way cooked. The chowder we ordered had the taste and consistency of wall paper paste and nobody had anything that they thought was great. It pains me to write bad reviews as I like to give credit where credit is due for those restaurants that deliver. However, after our party has written to the restaurant directly about our recent experience and have received no response, I feel compelled to take it to yelp. First of all, our friends convinced us to come back to this place after having an awesome experience the year before for their 5 course NYE dinner. When my friend called to make reservations, she found out that it was under new owners. We had reserved a table for 8:00pm, arrived promptly, and expected to be seated immediately. When we arrived, the manager working that night notified us that our table was not yet ready and that it should would have to wait about 10-15 min until we will be seated. We decided to go to the bar to grab a drink until we were notified that our table was ready. We were finally seated 45 minutes after we had arrived, but not until one of the members of my party went to the hostess and asked if our table was available for us. Our waitress was distracted and we got the impression that she did not want to be working that night. We sat there originally for 15 minutes before she even came over to get our drinks. From there, she only came over to drop off food and never asked how our meals were or checked on our drinks. The most disappointing part of our experience was the entrée dish. I had ordered the surf and turf which was a stuffed lobster tail and prime rib. First of all, my entree did not arrive until 11:10pm. I was starving and as I had my first bite of the meat, it was stone cold. The prime rib had clearly been cooked and left on a carving board all night but without even a heat lamp. My friend who sat next to me got the same dish and confirmed that his meat was also cold. I almost NEVER send food back, but we tracked down our waitress and politely notified her of our concern. She took the meat back to the kitchen and returned back with our steaks that were originally medium rare, but now were clearly nuked in the microwave and well done. The waitress even commented on how the steaks were now overcooked when she brought them back but did nothing to rectify the situation. Needless to say, for $70, we were very disappointed with our experience. We emailed the new owners directly and have received no response. What's sad is that our friends said that their 2012 experience was completely different but they will never go back. I hope that the new ownership takes note as it's a great location ! read more

We actually found Tuckerman's via Yelp, so thank you to all the previous reviewers for your recommendations! We were in North Conway for a long weekend last week and ended up eating dinner at Tuckerman's twice because we liked it so much! The first night (Friday night), we dined outdoors and didn't have to wait for a table. I was worried since the parking lot was full. I had the rib eye and the potato skins. Both were amazing! My husband had the prime rib and the mushroom bruschetta and he raved about both! Our waitress Nikki was a pleasure and very attentive. The seating outdoors was very nice and the weather was perfect for an evening dinner outdoors. I also enjoyed the fact that there are only about 5-6 tables outside so it never gets as noisy as it can inside the restaurant. Saturday night we were back at it! That night the outdoor seating was closed, which was fine with us since it was a bit chillier that night. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table (we arrived at the height of dinner time), which wasn't bad at all. The host is very pleasant and professional and does his best to accommodate your requests. He keeps the engine well oiled! Once we were seated, I ordered the chicken tenders for an appetizer and a cheeseburger for my main meal. The chicken tenders were not handmade, definitely a frozen item, which didn't bother me because I've never met a chicken tender I didn't like! The burger was tasty, but after having the rib eye the night before, I think was hoping for the same level of flavor. Definitely a good burger, but maybe I should've had the burger the first night and the rib eye the second night. I honestly cannot remember what my husband had to eat that evening but I do remember him saying that it was excellent. We also shared the brownie sundae dessert which was fantastic! After all that food, we had to practically roll ourselves home! All in all, I would recommend Tuckerman's to anyone (families, couples, girls nights, etc). There was an eclectic mix of people so you know it appeals to a wide variety of folks. The inside of the restaurant can get noisy, so if you're hard of hearing or have sensory overload at times (like I tend to), then try to dine outdoors. read more

Went to dinner last night with my wife to Tuckermans. Food was absolutely excellent. We were waiting for awhile for service which was okay as they were fairly busy, but when service arrived it too was excellent also. Mike, who is the manager was outstanding. One of the nicest restaurant managers we have had the pleasure to meet. Amber our waitress was very apologetic about our wait and was also excellent. My son and I freshly and showered and famished from a hiking trip were headed into North Conway from Glen hoping to go to chain favorite and reliable "the 99" but the traffic was unreal so we turned around and looked for an alternative. We should of kept going!!! Ambiance: The one good thing this place has going for it... Very New England and touristy with Moose heads on the wall, clean and neatly decorated. A great pub atmosphere. It's just the food/value they need to work on! Its off the beaten track too! Flexibility: No! I would of gotten the prime rib (priced at 18, which is reasonable... if it came with a salad instead of a second vegetable, I would of been all over that)! Kids Meals: Usually the kids meals has filler items that fill the kids up. Not mine this time as my son was still hungry after his pizza and ate one of my quesadillas. LOL!!! I sampled the kids pizza and it tasted like Celeste or Tony's frozen pizza you get from the Super market. My meal: I had the quesadillas and it was good not great. It didn't come with any rice or re-fried beans. The sour cream and salsa came after asking for it. Ugh!!! Chipotle or Moes could of done better. The beer was wonderful though. They had a great selection. Service: C, I think the girl was new and I think she had way too many tables. I feel bad now for leaving a 10% tip. TIP: Don't go here when you are on a budget. Since traffic during foliage season can get crazy up here, we opted to have dinner here one night as it is across the street from where we stay when in the area. There's a nice bar area and the dining room has a family restaurant feel. Flat screen TV's are located throughout the restaurant, which made it easy to watch the Red Sox playoff game. The menu is large with a varied selection. There's a little something for everyone. Our waitress (Rachael, I think?) was fantastic. We started with the chicken tenders, Thai style. The portion was generous, but the sauce was too heavy and overwhelming. I tasted more like sweet chili sauce than Thai. I had the Greek salad with chicken. The portion was large. It was OK, not a big wow, but OK. My husband had the Wasabi salmon. The sauce was fantastic but the rest was middle of the road. We split the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and that was tasty. We'd go back, but it probably wouldn't be our first choice. read more

My family and I went here for dinner while on vacation in July. The service was horrible. We waited over an hour for mac n cheese, cobb salad and scallops. My husband did enjoy his scallops. My cobb salad was fine. It was a little tacky that I was given a little plastic cup of guacamole instead of sliced avacado. You can't really screw up kraft mac n cheese so I wont comment on that. All in all I would not go back to this restaurant again. The food was average and the service was horrible. Our waitress never apologized or checked in on us. It was horrible to try to get a 2 1/2 year old to sit for 2 hours. The bar looked nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place for families. I recommend The Hill's Top Barbecue right down the street. This place is my new favorite. The waiters and the people were amazing. I went in with a big party of like 20 and we all got our food at the same time that is rare. We go to A bunch of different restaurants all the time we've never gotten our meals at the same time. Their food was very good. I got the no-name burger it was really good very good quality meat. The fries are amazing out of that whole meal I couldn't ask for anymore. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

This was the best meal we had on our vacation. We started with the poutine and a hab margarita. The poutine was excellent. Fries were crispy and the gravy was delicious with the added short rib and fried onions. I had the special of wagyu flank steak with a poblano bacon corn hash. Omg the flavors were exceptional. What a wonderful place. We visited the restaurant at least 4 times during our 2 week stay in North Conway. The food was so delicious. The four of us never had one complaint about the variety of dishes we tried. We loved our server, Niki. We had her the first night then requested her for the rest. Her knowledge of the menu helped her navigate us to the best meals for us. Wonderful service and delicious meals made for great memories with friends. The desserts were amazing too. The Bear Balls are a must. Thanks, Niki. We all think she deserves a raise. read more

Good pizza and ribs, but the worst beer pourer I've ever seen - 3.5 for the food, 1.5 for the service. After checking out a few places in the area we decided on this place seeing that there were 25 beers on tap. We sat at the bar and it wasn't very busy. I got the pizza which was really good and my boyfriend got the ribs that were a huge portion. There were two bartenders and wish the other bartender (a guy) had waited on us. The other bartender (a woman-only identifying this so future patrons can try to figure out who to go to) would start a beer holding it properly, then put it down and pull the tap so that most of it would be a head. She kept topping it off to move the head up an probably wasted more of it than needed and took longer than if she just did it right in the first place. Then she would put it down in front of you with a huge head that would settle to a good 3-4 inches below the rim. I saw her do this over and over. If you boast about your extensive beer menu, you really need people who can pour it. She checked on us once and when we paid her, she just said, "Are you all set?" and never said thank you. read more

As property guests we tried to get a seat at a table or the bar and were refused entry due to it being too busy. It was 730pm on a Saturday and they couldn't even take our names for a barstool for any time throughout the evening. They don't provide room service either, so you're just SOL if you're a hotel guest(despite paying top dollar for your stay). read more

We thought we were heading to the brewery, but was led here instead. To our surprise, this was an awesome find. The food was great and the drink menu, including draught beers was great. Kids meals come with an ice cream sundae, so kids loved that. Adults got the out of bounds chicken sandwich which was delish!! The two stars are mostly for the ambience. We had a party of 8 on a lighter eve and we were seated within 15 minutes which was great. The server was friendly but someone inept, leaving us waiting for long periods of time while we could see her chatting with friends at other tables. The food was really lackluster. I ordered the special ribs which "they dont do often so really special." They were small and dry with little spice. Others had pot roast which was equally bland according to them. The best looking dish was a baked salmon salad. And on top of this we are double charged on one of the credit cards...to be fixed soon I hope. I am from Portland where the food is outstanding but still, this is not the stix! read more
