Installation was approx 2 weeks ago. The install team did NOT bring all components to complete the job. One vent missing, 3 tie down straps missing hardware and the wrong color trim paint was applied in several places before they noticed it was the wrong color! I've contacted the sales site here in Pensacola 3 times, the factory in Mobile Al 3 times and yet have had any response to confirm when the installation will be completed! DO NOT pay in-full until the installation is completed! You may need to complete the job yourself! What good is a warranty if no one answers your call? Martin H. read more

These people are wonderful. I had been shopping around for sheds for several months. Most of the other companies were either more expensive and/or had a long turnaround time (eg, 2-3 months) to install the shed. Tuff Shed said they could install the shed within one or two weeks. Their web site allowed me to choose from many options, and presented nice color drawings of my shed from different angles, along with an itemized price list of everything I had chosen. About a day after I made my selections and signed the document, I realized I made some mistakes. Even though I had passed the deadline for making changes, they were still able to accommodate me. (I don't recommend making so many last minute changes like I did because I imagine it's not convenient for them. But they were very nice about it and very professional.) They were able to schedule the installation within a few days (earlier than promised). The workers showed up early and were also very nice, checking with me on several items. They were also able to quickly accommodate the installation site that was not as level as I had indicated in my purchase order. I sensed they took a lot of pride in their work. After a few years my Tuff Shed needed some trim and hardware replaced because of water rot. I've called Tuff Shed many times and they have been just awful. Bottom line is: TUFF SHED DOES NOT SELL ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS, trim or siding. They will tell you to go to Home Depot but then you find out the measurements are totally unique to Tuff Shed. I then went to several dealers and asked, they all said they would call me back, none did. After I figured out that the trim and sheet siding is from LP Smartside I went to several lumber stores to see if they could custom order it. Nope. Homedepot, nope ; Lowes; nope Then I went directly to the LP Smartside company and I finally got ahold of the LP rep, really nice but..... nope. I finally have decided the only solution is to rebuild the entire front of my shed with a new product. read more

Outside of interactions with sales and the actual installing crew, the TuffShed experience was a nightmare. Last minute cancellation (home from work to be on site for install per their request, they call that morning to cancel with no reschedule info or reason other than the contractor pulled out), a complete lack of communication from their operations department, despite assurances on two separate occasions from the schedulers that the job would easily be done in a day, the contractors showed up without adequate materials (which they claimed was the fault of the TuffShed suppliers that loaded them up for the job) and had to leave our shed without half a roof and backyard full of nails, boards, tiles, paint, et al, for a full week while I waited for them to respond to my multiple text/phone/email requests for some kind of update, etc. If you value your time and sanity, go with anyone else for your shed needs. If you think my experience might be a fluke, check out the comments on the TuffShed Facebook page, which I sadly discovered too late. read more

We spent over $6,000 having a shed built after designing it on the tuff shed "build your own" app. The shed turned out fine EXCEPT I noticed after the crew left that there were no vents. Both my husband and myself designed it WITH vents, and I made the mistake of signing off on the docs because I've been extremely busy and did not realize that the vents were not written into that final doc. Now if i want vents, I have to pay over $300! Not happy. Spoke to Jason McCoy who seemed disinterested in helping, and frankly, a bit snarky! The app is wonky to say the least, but Jason was unmoved. If I were a salesperson, I would likely try to accommodate over a $300 issue rather than get a bad review, but here we are. Jason did nearly NOTHING throughout the entire process, but I'm sure he will collect his commission anyway. read more

Really great experience from the first phone call to the last nail. I went online just to kind of get to know the options. I played with the "build a quote" tool and saved my design. Within a day, I had a call from Jason who walked me through the entire process and made some really critical suggestions based on what I wanted and how I intended to use the space. He encouraged me to visit the showroom to see the options in person, and I'm so glad I did. He then worked with me to redesign the shed to best meet my needs, and within ten days, my shed was installed! The paint doesn't peel, the color is still bright, the roof doesn't leak, inside out is still perfect, and so....We decided to get another TuffShed and this time, we went to the store in San Jose. We regret that we chose tuff shed. Recommend to go with other companies. They have awful customer service. We have tuff shed since April 2018. It was good until we had the first rain around Thanksgiving. When we came back from our trip, we found out that it had been leaking. There was a puddle on the floor and some stuffs were wet and molded. The tuff shed responded to fix the shed which was good however, the shed never be the same condition. Then we tried to claim the property damages which was $400 worth of damage, it was just frustrating. We tried contacting the general manager, James Co(Ko?) from San Jose store ( he was the contact person), it was almost impossible. We got to talk to him only once but he was pretty shady. He told us to claim our property damage through our home insurance!!! ??? When we pointed out that it was their responsibility, he suggested to set a phone meeting : 1/21/19 at 11am. So we called him, of course, never answer and never calls back. We also called the head quarter. After a few times attempt, Chris left us a message once. We called Chris again and again, never heard from him either. Obviously, they don't care about you once it's sold. Very disappointing and unprofessional. So if you are lucky, you'll get "tuff shed" but if not, you'll get "Tuff S..."! Good luck read more

Job was rushed and poorly constructed. Installers only concern was to finish job as fast as possible, with no regard to quality. Uneven fit and finishes. Materials not fit to tolerances. Window had to be replaced three times due to installers failure. Door hung unevenly and does not close properly. Air gaps over 1 inch where roof attaches to sidewalls. Housewrap applied with no concern for proper fit. Sidewalls, door, etc. were painted by laying out the panels on my lawn, which damaged the grass and left brown spots where paint was spilled. Salesman would not return calls or emails regarding problems during construction process. The only time I heard from them is when they wanted to be paid. Overall very disappointing results. I would not recommend the Milpitas branch of Tuff Shed. read more

For those living at least in the tri-valley and in one of the older homes, odds are you are craving more storage space or a she-she's or man-cave. For me, I just needed more storage space and finally decided on a tuff-shed via Home Depot. I opted this route mainly for the interest free payments for a year. The design online was fairly easy, with a few clicks here and there a door, window and size of the shed were on the paper as with some free options Home Depot was offering for this promotion. Paying for it online was easy through tuff shed, but most of my problems beyond that stemmed from non-communication from them and trying to have them fix a structural problem. One of the first problem was surprisingly was a set up/install date. I had a special order which required a month for them to order/fabricate. And when that initial month was up, I actually had to call around several people to try and set up a build date. Next problem was when they built the shed, 1 of the 2x4's was splintered nearly in half, so it literally took a few more calls back and forth to actually have them fix it. In the end, it took roughly a month after it was built for them to actually fix and reinforce that splintered 2x4. This was talking to the field office and Home Depot/tuff shed rep via phone calls and mainly emails for dated proof of their slow response and action. Beyond that, I mainly just got a slightly stronger building and some nice touch up work by them trimming down a few exposed nails and had them fix the vapor barrier alittle since it was sort of half-ass some..love the shed, but hated the slow response in trying to get it built and repaired.. read more

After I chose which shed that I wanted with Larry's help, then Marcelino and Jose came out and built the shed quickly and correctly. I was very very pleased with the outcome of the shed that Marcelino and Jose built. During the process I was frequently in contact with Edgar from the scheduling department. Edgars professionalism allowed the process to go smoothly and swiftly. Edgar even found a way to save me money when I wanted an ad on after the shed was built. Without assurance our stuff is safe and secure during this (probably) last chance to get this shed done, we're not comfortable having more Tuff Shed people on site again. It should have been built well on the installation day as advertised and promised. 4 visits later it's still not done. Without the assurance of safety and security for everything, I'm not comfortable offering Tuff Shed a 4th chance. It's logical to assume 4 days of ignoring our emails and messages means you don't want to assure us of safety and security. Our agreement is that this will take 4 hours. Then I have to leave for work. Stuff in the shed will be temporarily put in the driveway, the shed moved at least an inch from the utility post, and then all items will be replaced to their original locations in the shed. We purchased one over 5 years ago and it was great then, but with the new improvements, floor membrane and aluminum liner for insulation made it even better. Needed a shed in my backyard. After researching various options available at the local LOWES, COSTCO, HOME DEPOT, and ORCHARD SUPPLY, I went with HOME DEPOT's "TUFF SHED" brand of custom wooden sheds. I ordered an 8 foot by 8 foot Sundance SR-600 wooden shed with an added 24" deep shelf and an 8 foot peg board right above the shelf. Home Depot had a promotion going on where for any Sundance shed purchased, the completed shed would be painted professionally using your choice of 2 tones for free. Without the promotion, this would have cost an additional $200. I chose to have the base be FLAXEN WHITE and the trim to be CLASSIC LIBERTY RED to match the color pattern of my house. I received a phone call from the TUFF SHED contractor the night before the crew was suppose to arrive and build my shed. He gave me an arrival window of 7:30am to 9:00am. When no one showed up at 9am, I called TUFF SHED for an update. The TUFF SHED phone rep informed me that the contractor will call me back. At 9:20am, I receive a call from the contractor apologizing that he had provided me the wrong info. His actual ETA would be 11:30am to 2pm. I asked him how long the installation will take and he told me about 4 hours. Two gentleman from TUFF SHED showed up promptly at 11:30a and completed constructing my shed by 2:30pm. I was really impressed at the job they did. When they were done, they packed up their belongings and cleaned up after themselves. Not a drop of paint on the ground or a single piece of nail/screw left behind. I'm 100% satisfied with TUFF SHED and highly recommend their sheds to anyone out there in the market for a new wooden shed. read more

I walked into the showroom and the first thing the salesman asked was where did I live? I told him South Orange County. Second question: Do you have a HOA? I said yes. He then said sorry we can not help you. Building permits and HOA are to difficult to work with. I believe there commercials should inform of these issues before wasting everyone's time. read more

It looked okay until I went to paint and seal it. The wood used was cracked and damaged in many places. The framing pieces already put together from the production shop, we're absolutely terrible from missing the stud and nails sticking through the walls. There were cracks between floor pieces and shelves installed were not flush. After using wood filler, I ended up buying so many tubes of caulking to seal all the cracks and nail hole damage. Plus around all the trim outside which they do not tell you to do and if you don't the water will get behind it and rot out shed. Don't use them you'll be sorry. read more
