Well, I went to Tula on a date... a friend of the owner Jackie.....I ordered my meal and got a totally different item.. why aren't waitresses carrying a pad and pen anymore? Since I moved to Long Island this has been my all time favorite restaurant! I live everything about this place especially the service and the Asian noodle salad I usually get seated right away whether I have a reservation or not. In the midst of COVID, Tula was a welcome sight for us so that we could actually have a real date night. The bartender was super helpful and recommended a delicious app called the Meditterranen Spread, large, incredible, and caused us to cancel one of our entrees. Our final choice for dinner was the Seared Tuna which was also very scrumptious. We did save room for the chocolate cake which was not too sweet and the portion was enormous. We would have gone again the following night, but alas Tula was closed on the Fourth. read more

Tula Kitchen is a little gem of a restaurant! I didn't make a reservation, figuring a Tuesday night wouldn't be necessary and that was fine. My husband and I had no wait and were seated quickly. I ordered the "Oh My Fig" cocktail and it was delicious- definitely on the sweet side but I i like it that way! Our server was great- I asked for her opinion between two dishes and went with her recommendation and loved it! My husband and I will definitely be returning- we loved the plentiful vegan options, and the ambiance was perfect for our romantic little date night. This place has super yummy eats! I came with a vegan friend and she also loved it. I am Pesciterian . We ordered the falafel, it was delicious. I had the blackened salmon arugula salad and cauliflower mash potatoes! All 3 were so yummy. The salmon was cooked to perfection great temperature. Mash cauliflower was creamy n flavorful. The arugla, grapes n dressing was the right amount of sweet and savory. I tried some of my friends lentil meat loaf. This was also flavorful and tasty. Her cauliflower came with a rich gravy, the pairing was amazing. I love this place new favorite spot! Can not wait to try the tempeh sandwich next time. Spent a wonderful birthday dinner here. The staff was very attentive I appreciated that. The food was delicious you can taste the seasoning. The staff didn't Hoover over us but did check in to make sure we enjoyed everything ... the decor and artwork sets a comfortable tone. This review is solely based on customer service, since I have never tried the food. I had planned to have my baby shower at Tula in April 2020, but with Covid that was canceled. When asking about a refund of the $271 deposit, they said no (now I get a non-refundable deposit, but this was extenuating circumstances), so when it came time for my daughter's first birthday, I ordered catering with that deposit (two full trays of salad, a half tray of veggies, and a hummus platter). Day of the party... CLOSED. They are typically closed for dining on Sundays, but open for catering. I waited almost an hour (called nine times both numbers, emailed twice, and banged on the doors and windows). I finally left & had to scramble to get stuff to make salads an hour before my party. Two days later when it opened, I spoke to the manager (who was polite) and the owner- who was extremely rude. She all but accused me of lying, saying her chef was there two hours waiting for me. This is impossible as I was like BANGING on the windows and doors for an hour. After a bit of back and forth (and the lying owner calling me a crazy person), I was given a full refund. I will NEVER support this restaurant again, and I advise you don't either. read more

We came recently on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a great time. We arrived early and decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited a few minutes for our friends and a bit longer for our reservation. The new addition to the older part of the restaurant is located right on the corner with large rollup windows that I'm sure will be a hit come summer time. The mad Russian had a vodka tonic, while I took the advice of a fellow yelper and tried the pear cider. Glad I did- I wound up having two more during the course of our meal. As it turns out, our table was delayed a bit because the foursome occupying it didnt want to go home, but that just gave us some more time to catch up with our friends. The bartender was both quick and friendly. When our table eventually became available, we were seated and offered a cocktail while we looked at the menus. What an interesting menu with an awesome story on the cover. Tula is "balanced" all right, the service food and decor were all great and we for sure would love to come back to enjoy another meal with friends or alone on a date night. Spinach pie appetizer was awesome and the mussels were a hit at the table- bread was used to sop up all of the wonderful juices they came in. From other reviews you'll see that there are vegan options if that's your thing. Salmon and shrimp were delicious. From the turkey loaf to the Tula Cobb (my usual go to) and all of their fabulous cocktails in between, everything is so carefully crafted. Portions are a great size and so flavorful. Totally disappointed. My Proseco was served in a champagne glass instead of a tulip glass. Our appetizer if Brie cheese was not partially melted as per the menu. Our friends were disappointed with the chicken sandwich which was way to thick and dry to eat. My Branzino topped with salad was all salad and I had to hunt to find my tiny piece of fish. The service was very good with a prompt waiter and hostess. I was disappointed by the entree and the prices. We got the crab cakes as the appetizer which were very delicious and I believe it was $12 for two crab cakes(little crazy). I ordered the vegan bolognese which was pretty good. I was disappointed because it said vegan sausage and this just tasted like seitan which I do not like - I was expecting something more similar to beyond sausage or impossible sausage- I wish they mentioned that in the description because I would not have ordered it. The mozzarella on it also tasted like it was daiya mozzarella shreds which I hate the taste of. So after I picked those out it was basically pasta with vegetables which I could have made at home for about 1/10th of the price because it was $21. It also said it came with tempeh bacon and I did not see any of that in it. My boyfriend ordered the fusili bowl and he said it was okay but nothing amazing. The cheesecakes were very good - $10 for two little mini cakes. I appreciate that they have a vegan menu so I may be back but $70 for a dinner for two without even a soda was a bit of a stretch! read more

I just had to bring my wife here for her birthday because she had been wanting to become more vegetarian. I thought the menu selection was perfect for someone who is vegan or vegetarian. We started with the stuffed avocados and they were absolutely delicious, great start to the meal. Unfortunately once we got to the entrées we started noticing that there was a lack of flavor in a lot of the things we were eating. The Tula pizza for example, it's very nice and healthy, however not very delicious in my opinion. It lacked seasoning, in their defense it's their own version of a pizza. But I would have liked more flavor. I decided to try the chicken Ruben, unfortunately it was the most tasteless Ruben sandwich I had ever had. The seared tuna with mashed potatoes was very delicious and their roasted potatoes were also very yummy. Decour is very lovely, I liked how they decorated and even with the Halloween theme. The overall Decour was very lovely, very open and the staff were incredibly nice. Definitely big kudos to the staff for their attentiveness and courteousness. Don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon. But if you're looking for meatless options, I think this place maybe for you...as long as you're not a foodie. read more

I ordered the honey seitan. It came on top of a cauliflower and white bean mash with some roasted broccoli. It was phenomenal. The mash was better than the many mashed potatoes that I've ever had and the best part is that it was cauliflower and white beans. The broccoli was scrumptious. It was soft but had a good crunch to it. It was seasoned very well. The seitan was good too. My date had the quinoa with shrimp and mushrooms and that was also very good she enjoyed it a lot. The portions were very generous. I also had the clockwork Orange cocktail which I enjoyed thoroughly. If I was ever looking to have a great vegan meal and bring someone that wanted non-vegan options, well I found my perfect place. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The parking was about two bucks in the lot close by. The bathroom had some nice towels that you could use as opposed to a sketchy dryer. I loved my experience here 100%. read more

Being someone that has a celiac level gluten intolerance, I really like what this place has to offer. Not every menu item is gluten free, but there are quite a lot of options. I highly recommend the bruschetta pizza and the almond crusted chicken. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I have also recently found out in January that they offer an option for pick up when you call in an order. It's also on the corner next to the Bayshore Bean, where there are great drinks and gluten free snack options. Both are some of my go to places in the town of Bayshore. The only downfall of this place is that they're closed on Mondays. Definitely a must go to when in Bayshore on any other day though. read more

Shout out to Tula kitchen for making my sons 50th birthday a special night. We were a party of 14 and were seated in the back with a long table against the wall. The restaurant was crowded yet you were able to hear each other talk. My daughter in law is vegan and there were many options for her. All the choices on the menu were healthy eating options. Our waiter Roman was a delight from taking down the drinks to all the ordering. He was right on and got everything right. All the food was delish from all the appetizers to the main dishes. Unfortunately no pictures were taken but anything that was ordered was great. They even made a vegan birthday cake that was so heavy and delish. I would say don't walk but run to Tula kitchen if you are vegan or just want a good Healthy meal. read more
